"Whoa!" after roaming around all over the office to give her colleague's orders, Soriah sat down, catching up her breath as she wipes thoroughly her sweat all over her face and neck.
Soriah Swern is a mere employee from an advertising company, but never did any paper works. In her everyday presence in that office, what she always do is to run errands and make staffs for her co-workers. Well, she's used to it, and never wanted to complain anymore.
"Soriah, can you just say no to them?" it's Lian Travis, her best friend. She's the only one who's always concern for Soriah, no one else but her.
"Just let it be, Lian. Remember, I always believe that no work is in vain," Soriah widely smiled at her best friend, assuring her that she's okay.
Lian sighed deeply and went back to her cubicle. She knows that she can't win against her best friend anymore so she gave up.
While Soriah is busy on photocopying a pile of files requested by one of her co-workers, it happened that their company's CEO, Vern Darjey, passed by. She looked at her colleagues who squealed like a jellyfish, obviously because of Vern's presence who is currently walking like a model in a fashion show.
His face, his body, his posture, the way he walks, everything in him seems to be almost perfect in the eyes of every woman in that company, including Soriah. It may seem cliché but that's how reality is for her. However, in their dismay, everyone pouted and went back into working when Vern's girlfriend linked her arms around his.
Yep, that's right. The great Vern Darjey is already taken by the famous model, Serene Sanchez, but it didn't stop Soriah to still admire him. To be honest, she's head over heels into him, and always watch him from afar.
"You know what, something is telling me that something's wrong with that girl."
Soriah was schocked from Lian's sudden apperance which brought her back from being staggered. She looked at her and narrowed her eyes as if telling her what does she meant by that.
"Well, I'm just saying what my guts is telling me," Lian shrugged her shoulders and stepped back to go to her seat but immediately, Soriah grabbed her hand.
"So you mean..." Soriah leaned closer to Lian so that no one could hear what they are talking about. "You mean that there's a possibility that Serene is cheating, right?" Soriah asked.
Lian nod to what Soriah said.
"Hmm. Do you want some detective game later, Soriah?"Lian moved her eyebrows up-and-down as if she's planning something.
"What do you mean by that?" Soriah asked with curiosity.
IT is already 6 in the evening but Soriah and Lian are still standing outside the company, waiting for Serene. Soriah is already being impatient since she had no any idea of what Lian is planning. She was shocked when Lian pulled her and hid in a bush.
She looked at where Lian is looking, it is Serene who just came out from the company, alone. Lian pulled her again and followed Serene until she stopped in front of a bar and looking around as if securing that no one saw her. They are watching her across when suddenly, a boy approached him and what they did next made Lian and Soriah looked at each other in awe, like they are talking with their eyes.
When Serene and the guy went inside, they didn't waste any second to loose them from their sight so they also went inside that bar and there, they saw them in the second floor of the bar, which is the mini-restaurant. They went upstairs and sit behind Soriah to make sure that they can hear their conversations well, since it was surrounded with sound proof glass so the noise from the first floor will not be a hindrance.
"You sure no one saw you?" asked the boy to Serene.
"Of course, babe. I always secure myself and besides, I don't want to be caught in the act," Serene responded confidently.
"Why don't you just break up with that guy, Selene?"
"Uh-huh. You know why I can't, babe. Our company needed him and you know him also, he will make everything for me. I still have to act like a broken lady who needs someone to save our company, and when he offers me to pay off our debt, then I will leave him hanging, as soon as possible."
Soriah and Lian's eyes widen and covered their mouth from what they heard. Unbelievable! Soriah grabbed Lian and ran out from that bar.
"Oh my gosh, I can't believe this!" Soriah exclaimed.
"So, my instincts are right. You're dead, Serene," Lian smirked.
"What do you mean?"
Lian showed her her phone and saw the video recording that Lian captured from the beginning when Serene came out from the company until they went out from the bar.
"What are you planning?" Soriah asked Lian.
"Well, I know how head over heals you are to Mr. Darjey, so I am giving you this recording, and do whatever you want to do," Lian winked at her and put the phone on her hand.
"Wait, what exactly do you mean by that?" Soriah asked in confusion.
Lian groaned by her best friend's slow wit.
"Cut the strings in between them, Soriah. It's for the best, and maybe, that will be your chance to get closer with Mr. Darjey. Good luck," Lian smiled at her best friend and rode in a taxi to go home while Soriah was there, syncing into her mind on what Lian said.
"Oh my gosh!"

The field of business, together with the modeling industry was shaken early in the morning when a video uploaded in the social media circulated and spread more than like a deadly virus. It is a video of the model, Serene Sanchez, kissing with an unknown man in front of a bar, until their conversation together, were all exposed.
"Daebak! I didn't know you're that great, Soriah. It's a good thing I gave you that," Lian is smiling widely at her best friend.
"Keep quiet, Lian. Others might hear you," Soriah whispered.
"Don't worry, I'll zip my mouth," Lian winked at her and returned to her table.
Soriah messed up her hair in frustration and groaned silently in her cubicle.
"Shhhh! What have I done!?" Soriah talked to herself and she knows it's already late, but truth to be told, she regret what she had done which made her sleepless throughout the night.
