Preface:
The Pascow sisters had known their whole lives that one day they would marry and their father would choose the suitors. This never really sat well with the girls but they respected their father and would follow his orders. The youngest of the four sisters may not have been the family favorite and she didn't share the gorgeous features of her sisters but she was set aside for the wealthiest and most handsome CEO suitor. She hated the idea of being told who she would marry. She actually wanted to find love and choose her own life. But then she thought about the betrayal of her own sister and her boyfriend. She had found out that while she was dating him he was cheating on her with her sister, now they were married. Her ex was now her brother-in-law. This fueled her decision to accept the marriage with the handsome CEO.
She would discover that her revenge would be nothing in comparison to what her CEO was using her for.
Chapter One: Meeting
Most truly believed that the Pascow family had just three daughters. The youngest was kept out of the limelight that the family enjoyed. She was not like them. She was plain and had a different mind from the rest. Her sisters always did what their father said, the youngest daughter on the other hand fought him every way. She dated who she wanted and didn't ask for permission. She liked to date people that her father did not approve of because it would make him mad. She wanted him to know that she was her own person. One day, she met a man that her father did not like. He was a troublemaker, and she knew that he would not be a good match for her. But she wasn't looking for forever at the time. Just rebelling against her father. They broke up soon after because Rebacca got what she wanted, her father nearly disowned her. Rebecca knew she had to get away from her father. There were just two ways to make that happen; get married or be disowned.
The eldest daughter was Tamisin and the second oldest was Meliora, both married into very wealthy families. The third daughter was Nessa Pascow, she was described as the devil incarnate. They were all born with enchanting features and sexy bodies. The world seemed to love them. The youngest, Rebecca, watched in disgust as the world fawned over them all and how they just lapped it up. Nessa remained single. Every suitor that tried for her hand she rejected. It seemed that she was the only one the Pascow patriarch would allow to have her own way. Rebecca hated her sister because of this. Her father wanted to control every part of Rebecca's life but Nessa was allowed to run around and do what she wanted and her father never even raised his voice to her.
The family sat in the living room. Nessa looked shy as the CEO of Breath Away Dating service, Edern Lanyon, would be arriving soon. The rumor was that he was on his way to ask for her hand in marriage. They were not surprises. Nessa was gorgeous and well sought after. Every family wanted her to make them look good and every man wanted to have such a hot wife on their arm. Nessa was the perfect woman for Edern. She was beautiful and would make the public image of the dating company very popular.
There was a terrible secret that only Androw and Meliora knew about. They desperately tried to keep anyone from finding out. Nessa and even Rebecca had to marry well to save the family reputation. The marriages may just inject some cash into their coffers. Androw had been making some serious business mistakes for the last few years that the company was going under. Their hope is that if Nessa marries Edern, the association would bring in more clients.
While Androw and Meliora thought about the future of the family company, Nessa's heart was beating out of her chest. Edern was already the CEO of the most successful dating company in the world. People are so desperate to find love that they will pay billions a year in hopes of finding that true love. Edern had capitalized on that and created the most accurate dating algorithm that matched so many people that more and more people paid for the service. Any woman would be damn lucky to land such a catch.
An hour later, the family feeling anxious, the butler entered to announce that Mr. Lanyon had finally arrived. Meliora became very nervous. She had rejected all the other suitors because she wanted the best and the most wealthy. Here he was walking into her house. She had to be very careful to appeal to Mr. Lanyon if she wanted him to take her as his wife.
The family stood as Mr. Lanyon walked through the door. Everyone greeted the man. "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Lanyon." Nessa nervously greeted. Edern smiled at the beauty and kissed her hand. "Shall we sit?" Androw offered. They all nodded and sat on the furniture around the center of the room. Meliora sat in the arm chair. Androw sat next to his wife on one of the couches. Across from them Nessa sat with Edern on the other couch. Tamisin sat in the arm chair opposite Meliora.
"Mr. Landon, let us discuss your business transaction." Androw stated. "Right. I will invest in your company in exchange for your daughter's hand." Edern responded. The family gasped with glee. The rumors were true. Nessa couldn't believe her ears. She was going to marry the most sought after bachelor in the world. "I am in agreement." Androw nodded. "This is wonderful news. You and Nessa will be very happy together." Mrs. Pascow gushed. "I am sure we will be." Edern responded with a smile. Nessa was smiling at him but he didn't look at her. She tried not to let that bother her. She would do anything to make her soon-to-be husband happy.
The family relaxed and started discussing the wedding and what the family relaxed and formed smaller groups. The women sat at one end of the room chatting excitedly about wedding plans. Nessa looked genuinely happy as she discussed dresses and patterns and colors with her mother and sisters. Androw and Edern sat discussing future business dealings. They were all so engrossed in their conversations that they didn't notice a new arrival at first. Androw caught sight of a slender figure walking past the doorway out of the corner of his eye. His face contorted in horror. "REBECCA!" he yelled. A slender figure returned to the doorway. She was covered in something, no one was sure what. The women looked at the door in shock. Edern was shocked as well. He wondered who this woman was and why Androw seemed mortified. The slender woman was not like the others that sat in the room with him. Was she a relative? She was covered in something red that he couldn't quite make out.
