Where am I? What happened to me? What’s going on?... These are the questions going off in my head as I woke up is a strange place. Wherever I am, it’s so cold and dark. I tried to stretch out my arms but find that my hands were bound tightly behind me, around a post. I go to move my legs but my feet were bound as well, and my leg and back hurt so much. My mind is beginning to panic. I look around at my surroundings and the only things I could see was door and single burning candle on a stand. I could hear voices from outside the door.
“Hello?! Is anybody there?” I yelled out, trying to struggle against my restraints, “Can someone please tell me what's going on?”
“Quiet!” Yelled a man in a hood with a raspy voice as he came barging through the door. He came walking towards me.
“Please, can you help me? Why am I here?”
“I said quiet!” I yelped as he slapped me across the face, splitting my lip.
“Please?” I whimpered. He grabbed my throat and squeezed.
“Be quiet or I will force you to be you stupid Fae girl.” He let go my throat. Every gasp for air burned and pierced. He left the room laughing maniacally. It made me shudder in fear. I tried so hard to hold them back but I couldn't stop the tears from coming. That's when it all came flooding back to me, they did it. The Council of Warlocks killed everyone I know. Does that mean? Am I'm the last of my kind? Am I the last of the Fae. This can't be happening to me. The tears came out now, there was no holding back. I wanted to scream but was too afraid of what they would do to me. Everyone I love is gone. Mommy! Daddy! Everyone! Gone. I wanted to just curl up in a ball and die. At least then I would be with them. The pain in my back and leg are horrible. I feel blood going down my back. Why is this happening to me? Why is the only world, I've ever known been so cruel? So full of darkness. Am I going to die? Are they going to kill me like all the others? By the Gods, somebody please help me? Anybody, please help me? Mommy! Daddy! Why!
