Chapter 1

"Teresa, congratulations. You're going to get married tomorrow!"

"Drink up! Tonight is the last time you can go wild!"

On the eve of the wedding night, Teresa Holland chugged too much alcohol. She stumbled all the way back home. As soon as she opened the door, she saw a pair of strange black stockings sprawled at the entrance.

In an instant, she sobered up.

"Aston, Teresa won't be back tonight. You have to give it all to me..." A woman's charming voice could be heard from the living room.

"Okay, let's go to the bathroom. It's exciting when we do the deed there!" The man's familiar voice pierced through Teresa's heart like a dagger.

It was her fiance, Aston Potter, and the model named Jenny Simonson!

How dare he cheat on her the day before their wedding!

Teresa was so furious that her eyes turned red with rage.

Aston held the woman tightly in his arms and soothed her gently. "I'll fill the tub with water. You should change into another set of seductive clothes."

"Aston, you have to clean yourself up. I'll be there in a minute." Jenny had a wicked smile on her face.

"Okay!" With that, Aston rushed to the bathroom.

Once Aston left, Jenny caught sight of Teresa standing by the door.

She had no trace of guilt or remorse on her face. Instead, she swaggered over to Teresa and smirked. "Since now you know the truth, will you still go forward with the wedding tomorrow? I'm pregnant with his child. You'd better leave the relationship by your own accord!"

After saying that, she followed Aston into the bathroom.

"B*tch!"

No matter how well Teresa could control her emotions, she had the strong urge to swing her arm across their faces.

Over the years, in order to be with Aston, she fell out with her family. She gave up her position as the top model of the city and withdrew from the fashion industry, even going to the extent of being completely banned from ever returning!

She had paid the heavy price to enter a relationship with this man, but in the end, Jenny trampled all over her.

However, Teresa was unwilling to give up!

She could not bear to hear the noises coming from the bathroom. So, she quickly turned, slammed the door behind her, and left.

The next day, she woke up in a hotel room. After washing up, she immediately rushed to the City Hall and called Aston.

Before she could say anything, Aston cut her off. "Jenny was involved in a car accident. I'll be going to the hospital to check up on her. Let's talk about our marriage in a few days, all right?"

What a scumbag!

Teresa scoffed in disbelief.

This was Aston's last chance!

After this, she would never be stupid enough to spare him another glance!

She picked up her bag and walked out, only to see a man dressed elegantly in a luxurious suit. His facial features were well-defined, and he was tall. He also seemed to be of mixed heritage. With such an outstanding appearance, he would not be inferior to anyone in the entertainment circle.

Teresa had been in the fashion and entertainment industry for many years, so she recognized the man in front of her at first glance. He was the president of Comcast Entertainment, Howie Simonson. He was a powerful, legendary figure in the industry.

She had seen this man's photo in the headlines before. He was obviously much more handsome in real life compared to the digital photographs of him.

"What a coincidence! Is Howie here to register his marriage, too?" she thought to herself.

Just as she wondered why he had showed up at this place, Howie's assistant informed him with a trembling voice, "Mr. Simonson, Miss Meadows is still on the way. She's almost half an hour late."

Howie pursed his lips and replied indifferently, "Tell her not to come."

After that, Howie turned to leave. His assistant carefully reminded him as he trailed along behind him, "The chairman specially told me that you have to find a bride today..."

Teresa's heart skipped a beat, and a bold plan suddenly appeared in her mind.

He was a man with a net worth of 100 million dollars. He could have picked any women out there, but he most likely needed someone just to deal with his family.

Sure enough, Howie clicked his tongue with annoyance. "I'll give you ten minutes to find another socialite."

"In that case, why couldn't it be me?" Teresa thought.

Teresa gritted her teeth and gathered the courage to stride over to the man. She smiled gracefully at him. "Mr. Simonson, it seems that you're in a hurry to get married. I happen to be in the same situation. Why don't you give me a try?"

Howie's assistant was shocked. How could this woman propose to him on her own initiative?

He scrutinized Howie's expression and noticed that Howie was carefully examining Teresa. Not long after, he nodded. "Look up this woman."

The assistant immediately understood Howie's command. He shot another look at Teresa again, found all the information related to her, and handed it to Mr. Simonson.

Teresa was a little nervous. Although she was the daughter of the Holland family, she was not worth mentioning when it came to a man like Howie.

Could he end up falling in love with her?

Howie glanced at her information, and his gaze returned to her face. "Are you sure you won't regret marrying me?"

Teresa's heart skipped a beat. She nodded hard. "I won't regret it!"

"Okay." Howie threw the document back to his assistant and took Teresa's hand. "Let's get the marriage certificate."

Fifteen minutes later, she successfully married him.

"Mr. Simonson, I have something to say to you personally."

"Get in." Howie exited City Hall and led her to a black limousine.

Once inside, Teresa composed herself and began, "Thank you for choosing me. As husband and wife, I'll do my part without causing trouble. But I have two requests."

"What requests?" Howie asked, arms folded.

"First, let's keep our marriage private. Second, I have unfinished business... Rest assured, I won't have connections with other men after our marriage."

Howie nodded, his eyes on her. "I'll give you a year to handle your past. After that, we'll announce our marriage publicly."

"Thank you." Teresa smiled gratefully.

"Also, I don't want to be apart from my new wife. You must move to my residence soon. My assistant will send you the address," Howie informed her.

Though they lacked affection, living together was reasonable for a married couple. Teresa agreed, "I'll move as soon as possible."

With no objections, Teresa then exited the car and left.

The assistant asked, "Mr. Simonson, are you returning to the company or sharing this news with your father?"

"Have someone track Teresa and report her every move to me," Howie coldly ordered.
