Chapter 1

Ronit completely exhausted from fatigue until noon today after performing one surgery after another.

He was on his way to the hospital canteen for lunch around 2:30 p.m. when he was abruptly stopped by a girl's voice.

As he stepped in the incoming direction, he saw a girl pleading with folded hands to a nurse standing at the hospital reception as he stepped out.

"Please, Ma'am, admit her; otherwise, she will die."

"Sorry ma'am, this is a suicide case; we need to inform the police first; we can't admit her until the police arrive; this is hospital protocol," the nurse explained to the girl.

"What is the point of such a protocol that can cost someone their life?" the girl said angrily to the nurse.

"Please open your eyes, Sanaya. Nothing bad will happen to you," she pleaded, attempting to reawaken the girl on the stretcher.

Because of her pitiful state, Ronit couldn't stop himself from approaching that girl. Instead of going to the hospital canteen, he helped the girl.

"Please open your eyes, Sanaya," she cried. Ronit steps came to a halt when he heard her words.

"Sanaya?"

"Is this the same sanaya? As far as I know her, she will not commit suicide, as far as I know, but what if she is the true victim?"

"Ronit, you are a doctor, and people only believe in doctors after God. You must help Sanaya, regardless of who she is."He took a decision.

"What's the matter?" Ronit asked the girl standing by the stretcher, interrupting his inner thoughts.

That girl's eyes glowed when she saw Ronit. She begged him to save her friend, pointing to the stretcher.

It blew his face when he saw the body lying unconscious on the stretcher and saw her face.

"Sanaya!" He exclaimed, startled.

"Do you know who she is?" the girl inquired, surprised.

"Yes," he nodded.

and immediately called the ward boy near the reception.

He told the ward boy, "Shift this patient to the emergency ward right away."

"But doctor, this is a suicide case," the nurse at the front desk tried to inform Ronit by reminding him of hospital protocols.

"Yes, I know," Ronit exclaimed, looking at the nurse, "but if she is not treated in time, she will die, and a doctor cannot put his patient's life in danger because of some stupid protocol."

Being a senior doctor, the nurse argued a little with Ronit. He pointed to the girl standing in front of him to fill out the admitting formalities for Sanaya.

Ronit immediately started examining Sanaya, who was lying unconscious on the bed.

Fortunately, her pulse was still functioning. Her left wrist had a deep cut, but the good news was that her vein had survived the cut. She had passed out because of uncontrollable bleeding throughout her body. Ronit tied a bandage around her wrist by stitching it.

Ronit inspected Sanaya's face and was taken aback by her state. On her cheek were fingerprinted, and there was a bruise on her forehead.

Ronit had anger and hatred for Sanaya, but seeing her in this condition today, he could not stop the good person inside him from helping her.

"Doctor, will Sanaya be alright?"

The voice of the girl in front of Ronit jolted him out of his reverie.

"There's no need to be worried; she simply passed out because of excessive body bleeding."

"Thank you, doctor," the girl said as tears welled up in her eyes.

"Ma'am, Sanaya requires rest as well; I'd like to speak with you about Sanaya; please come to my cabin if you don't mind," Ronit said, looking at the girl in front of him.

"Okay, my name is Isanna,"she introduced herself to Ronit.

"Ok, Miss Ishana, my name is Dr. Ronit Roy," he said as he walked alongside Ishana.

"Ishana, do you have any idea why Sanaya attempted suicide?" Ronit inquired as he sat in his chair.

"I'm not sure," Ishana said, her face red with pain, "but maybe she did it because of her boyfriend's torture."

"Torture?" Ronit inquired, his eyebrows raised in surprise.

"Yes, Sanaya's boyfriend has beaten her up several times and has kept her mostly confined at home," Isana said, surprised by Ronit's reaction.

"Then why hasn't Sanaya abandoned him yet?" Ronit had another question for Ishana.

Ronit couldn't believe a girl like Sanaya could stand it in silence for so long.

"Sanaya doesn't say much about herself, but I've seen bruises on her face before, and I once saw her boyfriend threatening her through the open window of her bedroom from my house's balcony. Sanaya made some requests to him with folded hands as well."

"Then her boyfriend slapped her and threw her to the ground; I could only see both of them from the balcony and couldn't hear them."

"Have you met her boyfriend?" After listening to Ishana, Ronit inquired.

"Yes, I went to meet Sanaya at her house, where her boyfriend was also present; Sanaya had introduced me to him, but nothing special happened after he saw me there; seeing Sanaya's scared expression, I returned home early from there," Ishana explained.

"However, how did you come to know Sanaya?" Ishana looked at me perplexed.

In the end, Ronit couldn't figure out how to respond to her question.

He replied thoughtfully, "I am his relative."

"However, Sanaya has mentioned none of her relatives or family members." "Why haven't you ever visited Sanaya?" Ishana inquired, her eyes suspiciously fixed on Ronit.

"Ummm... I.. me.. she..."

Ronit got caught up in his lies, and he couldn't think of an appropriate answer to give to Ishana, who was sitting in front of him, to persuade her.

As a result, his speech became shaky.

Ishana, who was sitting in front of Ronit, was waiting for his response with eager anticipation.

The nurse said, "Doctor-patient has regained consciousness and is panicking at the moment," as she entered the cabin from the emergency room.

Both Ronit and Isana dashed towards the emergency room after listening to the nurse.

Sanaya threw out the drip in her hand and also threw open the bandage tied around the stitches after regaining consciousness.

She was sobbing uncontrollably. "Why should I be saved? I want to die. "

Sanaya pushed the nurse away from herself and tried to make her lie back down on the bed.

Sanaya's condition astounded both Isana and Ronit.

Ishana took a step forward and attempted to calm Sanaya.

Sanaya began crying like a child when she saw Ishana and clung to her. Amid her sobs, Sanaya looked at Ishana and asked, "Did you save me?"

Ishana nodded yes and continued stroking Sanaya's back to silence her.

Ronit motioned to Isana to make Sanaya lie down on the bed and asked the nurse to prepare a sleep injection.

As soon as she sat down on the bed, Sanaya looked at Ronit.

"Ronit?" she said, her voice trembling.

Before she could say anything else, Ronit injected her.

She was silently staring at Ronit. It constantly filled her eyes with tears.

Ronit was walking back to his cabin with her drips and bandages on when she asked him in hushed tones, "Why did you save me?"

He was about to respond by turning to her and telling her then he had seen the effect of the injection she had received some time ago, and she was trying to sleep with her eyes closed.

As a result, Ronit returned to his cabin quietly, saying nothing.

Ronit is surprised to see Sanaya in this condition after 3 years.

After all, what happened to Sanaya to cause her to take such drastic measures as suicide?
