*Incoming video call*
“Hey mumma!” Darcy Green answered the call and said in a cheerful tone.
“Hi Darc . How are you? How have you been lately?” Mrs Green enquired , although she was trying to behave calm but there was a hint of abnormality in her voice.
“Everything has been good so far. Italy is really a beautiful place and I have already made a few friends , even my colleagues at office are really helpful .” she replied choosing to ignore the calm strangeness of her mother’s behavior.
“ I see . Well , we have some guests sitting right here who say that they came all the way from Italy for you” Mrs Green finally said releasing all the tension in air. With this she turned the camera towards the person sitting on the sofa .
Darcy who was unable to make out the meaning of her mother’s words was stunned when she saw the man on screen . A wave of chill ran through her spine , she tried to speak but the only words which came out were … “ YOU…YOU! WHAT ARE YOU DOING AT MY PLACE?!!!!!!”
Chapter 1
THREE DAYS AGO……
Darcy was an Assistant Section Officer at Indian embassy and was transferred to Italy only a month back . Fortunately she bonded well with her colleagues , who were mostly young people or those in their late 30s . Veer and Anvi were her best friends and colleagues so far , three of them shared good bonding and even hung out on weekends . It was Veer’s 28th birthday and all the office members decided to celebrate at Bianchi club , the most expensive and extremely famous club of the city.
All of them agreed to meet outside Bianchi club at 7 in the evening .
Darcy left the office at around 5’o clock and rushed to her apartment to get dressed for the party . Her apartment was 45 minutes drive from office and 30 minutes from Bianchi club. This means she had a very little time to get ready , she took a shower quickly and dried her hair.
She wore a black mini bodycon dress with a pair of high block heels ,making her plump and beautiful body look even more admirable and tall . Black color suited her wheatish complexion extremely well , giving her a look of a gorgeous Indian goddess dressed in western attire .
She drove to the club and found everyone waiting for her . They entered together and grabbed a table for ten at a suitable corner . The atmosphere around was very lively and cheerful , people were drinking , dancing and playing games , but the loud music made it totally impossible to hear each other .
Their group decided to dance after a few drinks , Darcy was a bad drinker so she deliberately kept herself from drinking , Anvi , Veer and Darcy danced together , they laughed and enjoyed to their hearts .
