Luca's POV
"ah! I am hungry",said Ariel.
"Shut up! We are in front of the sacred goddess.",I said my tone as low as a whisper.
"Brother, doesn't it feels insane, standing infront of a dirty wall praying to the goddess on it's other side, whom no one has seen",she murmured.
"Prince, Luca ", I heard the priest calling me.
I rushed to the sacred wall. I took the dagger kept aside, made a cut in my finger and dripped a drop of my blood into the bowl filled with water and my father's drop of blood mixed in it .
I sat on my knees , bowed in front of the wall and left.
The priest then poured all the contents of the bowl into a sewage like lining leading to the other side of the wall.
"The royal family is now allowed to have food for the next one year",said the priest.
Later in the afternoon
"I am not a prince like you , Luca. You see, if we get caught, you can excuse yourself as the to be king or the only heir to the crown but me, I have eight brothers , no one will even think twice before pushing me to the scaffold , not even my father. Why do you like breaking rules so much?",said Riva.
"Because I am a prince", I replied.
"Then do it yourself brave prince. Why take a mere soldier with you on your illegal adventure!", Riva argued.
"Riva, we are still in the Dono city, we haven't crossed the boundaries yet and you are calling it illegal."
"How far are we from the bank of ulo river?"
"Don't you hear the sound of the water!"
"No"
"Even Ariel can do that Riva. Come on now jump this petty fence and cross boundaries of Johan province.", I said as I jumped to the other side.
"Done, happy?",he said as he jumped to the other side as me .
"Not yet, you now need to cross the river with me."
"No way, with the Johan boundaries ,I have also crossed my limits. And don't you hear the roaring ulo. It will swallow us."
"Fine, but at least come with me to the bank."
"Yes, I think I can do that for my friend."
"When we return, I will have a nice talk to your father. He is the war head of Johan and he is having soldiers like you in our army. Look at yourself Riva, you can't hear sounds of river waves. "
"Um- Luca, are you sure you are crossing the ulo?"
"Of course ,you coward."
"Don't call me that."
I glared him for the last time before running and diving into the violent ulo river.

Riva's POV
Prince Luca has left for quite a time now and I am fed up from sitting alone.
Prince Luca , the man every lady in the Johan province dreams of. The only son of King Nentz , a great scholar and fighter. He is loved by the people of Johan as they love their children.
King Nentz ordered me to befriend Prince Luca and keep him updated about his whereabouts, whom he meets , what he does and all he does.
I had returned from my scholar training of two years, I had planned of joining the royal scholars group and work under the ministry of King Nentz but, fate had different plans for me. As soon as I step foot in the palace, my father dragged me to the king who ordered me to befriend his son and become his special agent.
I was dumbstruck at his first sight. He was the same as that in the childhood stories mothers told their small daughters in their childhood. He had those dark attractive orbs , narrow cunning eyes , a sharp proud nose , attractive lips and seriousness as well as kindness depicted on his face. The height of an adolescent elephant and body features carved like that of the fierce lions of forests. His pace as speed as the cheetah and his anger like that of the forest Kings. His glare could melt you,but at the same time making you feared of him.
I was jealous of him at the beginning but, I accepted the fact that he was better than me and will always be, after all he is the prince, the heir to the throne of Johan.
I heard deep breathing and then I saw him returning. It was a miracle ,how he crossed this dangerous river and came back without any scratch on his body, always.
"There is a beauty on the other side.", he said panting and taking deep breathes to moderate his breathing.
