Chapter 1

Elliserella White was a twenty-six-year-old actress. Having worked in California for four years, she decided to go back to her state to visit her father. It had been an hour since she got home. She was excited about December, since it was a very special month. It was going to be Christmas in twelve weeks.

Looking at the snow through the window, she decided to explore her room. She had spent some years away from home while pursuing her career.

Her dad was at the grocery store, so she was the only one in her home. Eliserella saw a photograph on her desk, it was a picture of her mom. Many memories crossed her mind.

Elliserella found all her novels. Underneath her novels was a key that she used to unlock her locker. When she was a teenager, the things that were kept in the locker were her priceless jewels. She locked it all up before she left for California, and since then the locker was never opened. She picked up a couple of school notes out of the locker and set them aside. She caught sight of her laptop. Her heart was pounding as she looked at the laptop. A smile came over her face, dimples appeared on the cheeks beneath her sparkling eyes as she saw the laptop. Without wasting a second, she turned it on.

She used to write to her pen pal when she was in high school. The laptop had a password to unlock it, which was 46+83+5.

Elliserella looked out her window and saw the snow again. Holding her laptop in her hand, she sat down on her bed.

She began to smile when she read her letters to Josh Kevin, every type of love always had lots of bittersweet memories.

Elliserella recalled when she first met Josh. The memory was as clear as fine crystal with bright sunlight shining through it.

Eliserella was sixteen years old when she was lying on her bed, simply staring at the blank screen, imagining how great it would be to have a continuously vibrating laptop and a filled inbox, though unfortunately certain of how she haven't the least possible plan how to literally go about obtaining a part of such a thing. In fact, she was quite shy, which was a major step backwards in terms of making friends.

What if she began a pen pal relationship?

What if she made a pen pal account to which she could write letters to and receive letters from, although the two of them may never have met? Eliserella shook her head and thought what the terriblest thing was, being invisible at school, or being invisible on Facebook? Perhaps she'll get lucky this time. Perhaps she might get a response.

Afterwards instead of pausing and searching online on its advantages and disadvantages, she signed up and signed in with her pen pal account. She had even succeeded in creating a bio that would show her peculiar side.

Sensing a thrilling sensation about her new step, she looked at the blank screen for a while and then she keyboarded:

My name is Eliserella White, and l enjoy coffee, tea, and poems.

My family would describe me as an introvert, a great listener, and a bookworm out of the ordinary.

As soon as she uploaded her bio she sensed an excitement. To imagine that she'd literally set her bio out there that a person may read and send her a letter was very thrilling. Furthermore, she got very obsessed with the idea of a person sending her a letter that she kept checking her inbox herself as though she was a person that didn't know herself.

Moreover, after several years of watching each and every one have a good time as she could at best daydream, Eliserella decided to do everything she could to make at least a friend.

Eliserella got out of bed early for school, got dressed, found Miss. Gabby's hair ball in her pink slipper, burned her bacon and eggs with the frying pan, and when she opened the door, she caught her next-door nemesis

Aubree's ex lesbian partner

suspiciously on her bike.

"Get off of my bike, Debbie." Eliserella slid her glasses up her nose, slammed the door shut behind her, and moved toward Debbie's direction, careful not tripped over the steps.

Debbie got off and placed her hands in her pants' inside pocket, breaking into a sly smile.

"Why are you here?"

"Nothing." said Debbie. Even though she'd gotten a bit more good-looking since fourth grade, she was still the same tough tomboy. Debbie had a face somewhat similar to that of Katy Perry, the kind of face where her blond hair styled in pixie cut surrounded her gray eyes in a mess.

Her nostrils flared up. From Eliserella's experiences, she knew the knitting of Debbie's brows meant she was annoyed with her, and that they were about to throw down about the most recent fight. And when Debbie had her eyes shining as at the moment, her grey eyes glistening maliciously, Eliserella felt uneasy inside.

Eliserella extended a finger to her bike. "What have you been up to on my bike?"

"I didn't do a thing with your bike."

"Liar." Eliserella said lowly.

"Whoa. You better watch your filfthy mouth."

Eliserella narrowed her eyes, and Debbie stared at her, softly with tender eyes before her full pink lips turned into a sly smile before she said, "Later, Dumbo."

Eliserella rolled her eyes.

Debbie turned and walked up to her house, relaxed and self confident. When she arrived on the lawn, she yelled at Eliserella, "Good day, Eliserella White!"

That can't possibly be good.

Debbie would never let Eliserella have a good day. Eliserella took a look at her bike, fearful of even riding it.

Eliserella and Debbie were enemies in a merciless battle over the only available parking space at their end of the street. Debbie had a habit of winning, but only because she cheated. She found it fun to reserve her title by covering Eliserella's entire bike in a bunch of sticky notes. Eliserella usually had to remove all of the sticky notes before she could leave.

For the first time, however, it was Eliserella who won, because last week she had the bright plan to ring the city after Debbie left her bike in the space for five days straight. Mersval had a twenty-four-hour ordinance, so Debbie got a parking ticket.

Whereas Eliserella twriled in her room when Debbie earned a ticket on her handlebar.

Eliserella checked both tires before getting on her bike. Debbie winked at her, and she saw what she thought was such a joke. The parking ticket was now on her bike, stuck to her seat with tape.

Eliserella and her neighbour Aubree arrived at school. They moved to their lockers and took their books for classes. "Guess who split up."

"Who?" Eliserella asked with no interest.

"Teddie Shannon and Amy Foster! He broke up with her."

"Okay,"

"Apparently, he met some model named Claire Daniel at a cafe. I can assure you he cheated on Amy all summer." Aubree smiled.

From the age of twelve, Aubree had been a regular fan of Teddie Shannon, which also meant that she was a Teddy shipper.

As a matter of fact, Aubree tweeted a lot about how adorable Teddie Shannon and Lucy Witherspoon were together. Since January, Aubree started the new year the way any true Teddy shipper would, and that's by praising the celebrity couple for being their amazing selves.

She said: "She's more than perfect and he's you know he's Teddie. They're a perfect match. -___- forever alone."

And then a month later, she tweeted, "I have to say I was really looking forward to seeing what Color Coordination Teddy was going to do for this VF years party."

And when Aubree wasn't tweeting about Teddy, she was just waving her fan flag for Teddie and his music.

In spite of their perfect romance, which included a PDA-heavy appearance at the American Music Awards, Lucy was embroiled in weeks-long accusations that she mothered a baby with a fan, James Han. In August, paternity tests were completed, subsequently debunking Han's claims.

A source close to the singer told people the couple called it quits on october.

"They weren't getting along and decided to call it quits," said the Teddie source.

And in spite of reports that the couple split because of rumors of Lucy's infidelity, a source told people James Han had nothing to do with the pair's hiatus. "They didn't end things because of Lucy's infidelity. They have their own issues and are always on and off," said a source about the couple, who dated for five years.

"Who's Lucy dating?"

"Beats me." She shrugged. "It doesn't seem like a big deal and they will probably be back soon again." She blew a stray hair out of her face. "Anyways your hair looks amazing. That color is great on you!"

"Thanks." Eliserella watched the oval face of Aubree, brown eyes, brown hair styled into a long bob cut, almost perfect white skin, dumbo ears and felt somewhat envious when she realized how she's an exact replica of herself except she lacked giant buck teeth. Whereas Eliserella was raised poor, even after her mom's death, Aubree was neither poor, nor rich. It's the same as having access to the best clothes and hair salons. It's a pity her heart was precisely the opposite to her physical appearance.

So far, everyone thought Aubree was kind and intelligent, yet Eliserella was aware of the real thing. Aubree may have been faking being kind, but since Eliserella recalled, she'd given her looks. Whenever Aubree looked at her, it was as if she was disgusted. She was rotting in that kindness, and one day everyone would see what Eliserella was seeing.

"Oh, I totally forgot to tell you. I got two tickets to Teddie Shannon concert coming up next week." Aubree then began to twril and Eliserella stepped away from her once she was finished she stepped back.

"I don't like Teddie Shannon." Her spectacles seemed to be fogging. She pulled them off, wiped them on her skirt, and put them back on. Teddie Shannon was one of the biggest pop stars in the world. He was a young pop singer who wears an all-pink ensemble and doesn't only disguise his real name with an alias, but he also hides his face from the real world by wearing a giant marshmallow-shaped helmet.

"You are so lame Eliserella. Look, if you don't listen to Teddie Shannon, what do you listen to? I pity your ears." Aubree teased.

At McDonald's, Eliserella took one of the low-priced menus from an empty table. She flipped through the pages quickly before setting it back down.

Eliserella caught sight of Aubree at the counter outfitted in a stained apron as she wrote on a pad. She didn't see her, so she snuck up behind and yelled, "Boo!"

Aubree jumped and dropped the pad on the floor. "You scared me off!"

Eliserella was having a giggle fit.

"Alright, alright. Quit laughing.

Why are you here?"

Eliserella held up the menu and waved it in her face.

"What can I get you, Eliserella?"

"I think a cup of coffee will be fine." Aubree walked away without saying a word, which was her way.

Eliserella's phone vibrated.

Aubree: Hey.

Eliserella looked over at Aubree, but she appeared to be attending to a red haired lady. She glanced at the lady and responded: Hey.

Aubree: Just so you know, Cherry texted me.

Eliserella: ???

Aubree: Before I tell you, you have to promise not to get upset until you hear it all.

Eliserella: Okay. Her stomach stress-dropped, and she typed: What's going on?

Before Eliserella was even able to look at her phone, she saw DeAndre Treyvon walking in her direction.

DeAndre Treyvon?

A number of people moved about while she was sitting and staring. He looked the same, only broader and taller.

She thought her heart skipped a beat. DeAndre lived in the street when they were small, and he meant a lot to her. He was her first love. He had always been the most amazing person. Intelligent and...more handsome than any guy she ever met.

He was wearing white hoodie with green shorts, the kind of outfit that showed he was seeking comfort from his hoodies. He had curly dark hair that he had dyed blonde and braided in cornrows.

Beautiful light green eyes fixed at her and then he grinned his perfect grin.

"Hey Elise, long time, no see! It's been years."

Obviously, she was destined to meet her first love again at McDonald's.

Eliserella was helpless to stop her cheeks from turning red as she felt like crawling into a hole.

DeAndre came and sat in the same booth with her. She felt strange inside, like everything was squished together and turned to mush when she realized they were seeing each other for the first time in years. Just like in movies and novels.

Could this be the most perfect time? She made eye contact with Aubree, who winked at her.

DeAndre was back.

The smell of his cologne was soothing. His perfect light brown skin, a few feet away from her.

Was it wrong to breath deeply and daydre_

"Debbie." DeAndre shook hands with Debbie, and grinned and started talking.

"Do you remember Charlotte Dennis?" DeAndre pulled up on his backpack and tugged Debbie's long sleeve t-shirt.

"Brittney's twin, right?" Debbie smirked and revealed a dimple.

"That's right," said DeAndre. "Charlotte's throwing a party tomorrow at her place, you should come."

Eliserella tried to keep her neutral expression when she heard DeAndre ask Debbie to come to his party. Debbie used to be DeAndre's best friend and crush when they were little, but still. Are they back together?

That might be bad for her.

"That sounds fine," Debbie said with a nod and said, "Later, DeAndre." She turned and started walking toward the door with a wave.

DeAndre watched Debbie's disappearance before looking down at Eliserella as she straighten her dress.

"Aubree?" DeAndre looked away from Eliserella, and his mouth popped open. "Is that you?"

She glared at him. "It took you so long."

Aubree had always been closer to the kids in the area, playing football with DeAndre and Debbie. Her hair was pulled back into a space buns with Dutch braid, but instead of looking neat like when most girls wore one, it seemed messy.

"I'll see you girls later." he said, glancing at his wristwatch.

Eliserella worked to curve her lips, even if she was upset because DeAndre didn't invite her to his party.

He got to his feet and went the other way.
