Today is the day when I am finally going back to my home newYork city. After spending two years in college I am finally going back and I am really excited to see my dad I have missed him. Ever since my mom died when I was ten my dad took care of me so yes he kind of spoiled me but I am not brat. I am currently sitting in a flight patiently waiting to land it’s been almost two hours since the take off. After few more minutes we finally landed I picked up my bags an headed out airport where I saw my dad. I left my bags and hugged him. “I missed you dad” I said to my dad. My dad hugged me back and said. “ I missed you too sweetheart now come on lets get you home” He said and I searched for my bags “ don’t worry the guard’s will carry your bags” Oh did I forgot to mention that we were super rich. My dad is one of the top millionaire of newYork city.
After 20 minutes of drive we finally arrived to our mansion. I went inside everything was the same as when I left. “ Go get some rest sweetheart maids have cleaned your room” I nodded my head and went to my room in upstairs.
It was afternoon when I heard someone knocking my room and someone came in I didn’t had to look who was because I know only two people can come in my room without my permission my dad and nancy. Nancy was my babysitter when I was little since I was very attached to her so my dad kept her even after I grew up. She loved me like her own so she was like a mother to me. I saw her and smiled. She sit on my bed and said “ Hey sweetie slept well” I answer her questions with a yawn. “ok your dad is waiting for you for lunch in dinning room now go freshen up I’ll see you in downstairs” she said and left. I went to wash room and did my business and went downstairs.
When I reached to dining room I saw my dad already seated. “ Good afternoon dad” I greeted my dad taking a seat. “ good afternoon sweetheart” He said and I stated eating my lunch when my dad started talking again. “ I have something to discuss with you” my dad said. “ what dad” I replied. “ John and I want merge our companies we have being planning this for a very long time we were just waiting you to finish your college” My dad said. John is my fathers business partner and best friend. “ ok that’s nice but why were you guys waiting for my college to finish I mean you could have merge your companies without me” I said feeling little confused. “ cause it’s not just the merging we want to do” I could see my dad getting all tensed up. He started speaking after while “ do you remember Lucas John’s son?” My dad asked me about Lucas. “ dad how am I gonna remember someone that I don’t even know I saw him like when I was 15 that’s also one or two times I guess” I replied I kind had bad feeling how this conversation was going. “ ok ok so we both wanted you guys to get married!” When my dad said that they wanted me and Lucas to get married I felt like my whole world went upside down. Lucas knight and me getting married someone kill me already. I don’t really know him but I have heard so many stories about him. He is a manwhore thats for sure he never stick with someone more than a week and here my dad was asking me to marry him. “ dad I don’t even know him besides I am only 20 I don’t wanna get married” I said that little loud getting angry. “ Davina McCall don’t raise your voice at me” My dad said getting excitedangry. “ I am sorry dad but I don’t wanna get married not now not to him” I said to my dad hoping he would change his decision. “ sweetheart this something very important to me I want you to marry Lucas and this is my final decision I hope you respect that” my dad said and left I felt like crying I didn’t want to hurt my dad he has never asked anything from me so how could I say no to him. I was lost in my thoughts when I felt some stroking my head I looked up and saw Nancy as soon as I saw her I hugged her and cried. “ you know your father always wants what’s best for you maybe now you won’t see it but you will some day” Nancy said and I just kept crying. “ now go to your room we will talk about this later” she said to me an I nodded my head and went upstairs.
I kept thinking about a way to stop this marriage whole night and then it crossed my mind. Lucas is not someone who would want marry so I decided I that I will talk to him and convince him to decline this marriage hopefully he would agree and why wouldn’t he for sure would not want get marry right!
