Alone in the rain;
It was a rainy day at Meago, but he left her in the rain and went as it were a speed of light.
she walked sorrowful all the way by herself in the cold night.
Down the way as walked alone, there came as it were a gaint figure from the blue. The man tried to subdue her and devor her like an hungry beast. She wept and cried out for help but nobody came to her rescue, she struggled to defend herself from being devored by the beast but where was her strength before such a deadly beast.
"Please let go of me; I am begging you, don't do this to me, I will give you money, any amount, please let me go;" she kept pleading.
Yet he wouldn't listen: in the next moment, She was brought down to the ground at the road side.
Her tears flowed down her neck and yeah all her hope was gone, her virginity was going to be forcefully taken, her dignity her pride.
She was going to be disvirgined not by the man she loved but by a beast she knew not where he came from.
She wept in agony, she was lost in disbelief, "am I actually going to be raped today?" She thought,
Yeah she had lost all her hope because she simply couldn't do anything to the beast that brought her down, But just before she was ripped open the man fell motionless upon her with blood dripping from his head. She was confused!
"Fuck, what the hell just happened" she said as she noticed the man was motionless. She then pushed him off her body.
When she stood up, she found out that he was bruised on his head and blood was gushing out.
"Oh my gosh, what the hell just happened? She asked herself as she stood confused!
"I can believe I am still intact, thank God I am still ok, but who just saved me?" She was confused.
She looked around and couldn't see anyone else, she became even more afraid and confused!
"What a mess, i need to leave this area right this minute" she said and she walked fearfully alone along the mountain road downtown until she finally got home.
When she got home, she got in and she was crying and subbing, she cried bitterly not because of the pain from the incident just now but because when she needed him the most he left her by herself, this was not the first time he left her heart broken, she even imagined him coming to rescue her from the beastly man, but that was all her fantasy.
She cried all night still hoping that he was coming to check on her but he never came.
She wept until she finally slept off on the sofa where she lay.
When she woke up early the following morning, she still hoped the first thing she did see was his face, but that was not the case, the so-called prince didn't even come at all or even bother to leave her a message.
She stood up to comfort herself "just try to forget him, she said to herself but she only ended up weeping like a little kid when her mom abandons her, she couldn't even eat that morning!
Yeah! She cried, she soar bitter because the man she loved so much doesn't care for her even for a little..
Although the so-called prince had told her before that he doesn't have a space in his her for emotions, she never believed him, she thought she could create that space in his heart, because though the prince said he doesn't love her, he still cared so much for her safety, although just as a friend, but this was not the case this time.
So She wanted to hate him and never see him again, but even at this, the more she hoped that he will even come and say that he was sorry, and she would forgive him! But yet he didn't show up, it seems he didn't care a hang.
"Is he really heartless? does he really have no emotions at all?" this were questions running in her mind.
"He should have told me why he left me alone in the rain in a hurry at such a lonely road. He could have just explained the situation to me before leaving me alone, but he left me alone in a flash without saying a word". This were all thoughts running on Aneli's mind.
She just wanted to hate him forever, she just wanted to never see him again, she wanted to never care a hang about him; but the more she thought about it the more She was hoping to see him, the more she wished he would appear out of the blue and say 'i am sorry'.
She kept thinking, she was vacillating and couldn't sleep, but the so-called heartless prince never showed up.
The Night came again, yet she didn't go outside, She stayed indoor throughout the day. People would even think that no one was at home, even her neighbor didn't know she was inside.
She stayed alone in the room crying and hoping to see him!
"Why does it seem so hard to forget you? why can't I just hate you and stop thinking about you?" She was speaking with herself as if she was reading a novel! just as you are reading one right now.
It was another morning, she woke up early with beautiful smiles on her face, but her mood changed immediately as she opened her eyes to see that it was all just but a dream. She became sad and lonely immediately, she started crying like a baby again.
Yeah! She saw him in her dream; he apologized to her and promised to make up for the wrong he did and also promised never to leave her again in that manner! So she forgave him and he even kissed her. But that was all but just a dream and no reality at all! Yet, what could she do about it?
She was cracy and she wept bitterly till her cheeks were swollen.
I will never forgive you for this; she said! but that was just mere words as deep in her heart she could never really hate him!
Yeah; she loved him dearly.
It was noon already when the bell suddenly rang, she stood up quickly, as she could see him with a red rose in his hand, he knelt down and apologized;
"I am deeply sorry for what I did to you" he said!
But she immediately tapped her forehead; "Aneli what are you doing!" She said to her self.
Yea! That was all her illusions, she was still standing where she was until the bell rang again, she went quickly and opened the door! Only to be disappointed, it was an home delivery of the foreign utensils she ordered for about four days ago and not the Prince she was expecting to see.
"Good afternoon ma! This are the.... She couldn't let him finish his statement before she interrupted him:
"Go and drop them there". she said not politely.
The delivery man replied politely: "Please miss, sign the papers for me" She yelled angrily again;
"Go and drop the goods inside first" she said and the delivery man became angered but yet he could only do as told.
She herself was surprised with her own behavior today, when the delivery man came back, she apologized and told him that it was all because she wasn't in a good mood today, so the delivery man nodded and she signed the delivery papers for him and he went away, but she went in heart broken again.
She had tried texting him since yesterday but he wasn't replying and would not even pick her calls.
it was twilight already when the bell rang again, she wasn't ready to see another face.
"Who is here this time" she murmured to herself! And then stood up slowly to the door, and when she opened the door.
"Who are you.." she asked but she couldn't finish her statement as she saw that it was actually him, her lips were wide opened and her gaze fixed on him!
"Haven't you seen me before, why are you hypnotized?" he mocked as he pushed the door open and went in without giving a hoot.
"Oh I am sorry" she said.
She had forgotten everything when she saw him, but when she got back to her senses:
"Didn't he see the bruises on my face? didn't he see that my face was swollen red and my eyes clumsy from much crying? why is he giving me this attitude? She was thinking.
While she was still vacillating in her mind; The majestic voice sounded;
"Won't you offer me something to drink?" The so-called Prince asked.
"Sure I will;" she replied! Although she was dumbfounded by his attitude, she still went to the refrigerator to get him some juice.
He switched on the TV and was watching the news already without any form of remorse towards her, he didn't seem to care a thing.
"Won't you even ask me how I have been doing even if you don't apologise?" she thought! But his voice sounded again;
"Why are you looking at me strangely today, I will be on my way now since it seems you are not very comfortable with me today, I have something to do," he stood up quickly and was about to leave without even waiting for her reply! But!
"Wait.... " she yelled and went after him, he stood still!
"what is it?" he asked!
"You left me alone in the rain the other night and..." she couldn't finish her statement when he cut her off;
"I don't wanna talk about that", he said!
But! "I do want to talk about it;" she replied with boldness!
The so called prince was surprised because she never spoke to him in such manner beforehand, she was always pleading,.
"I said I don't want to talk about that today, let's leave it until tomorrow;" he compromised!
"No;" she replied, "I need an answer today, do you know what I went through that night? you left me alone in the rain without saying a word, I was afraid and lonely, you know how dangerous that way was for a girl to walk by herself, you should have told me what the reason was before leaving me like that, and I would have understood, but no, you left without even a word, I was all alone and that man almost...". She couldn't finish her statement before tears began rolling down, she remembered the incident of that night again.
yeah! All she thought about in that situation was him, yes that he would come to rescue her, even when the big man tried to rip her clothes off, all she kept saying was.....
"I will not allow any other man touch me apart from prince, I belong to him and he will not spare you when he comes back" She tried to scare the big man, but the big man only mocked her and wouldn't listen until he was knocked off from behind by the unknown person.
"Answer me; she cried, why did you do that to me? Why did you leave me like that? Don't you care even for my safety again? I need an answer! Why did you do that to me?." She cried as she reached out for his hands, to make him turn to her, he turned slowly and said;
"it's because I don't have a heart!"
"You don't have a heart? What a fuck;" she said! "I don't believe that, if so then tell me why you have no heart? she asked!'
"I sold my heart;" he replied!
"Why did you sell your heart? Why?" she asked again.
But he said slowly as he turned and left; "it's because My dreams demands so!.."
