Chapter 1

"Luzia Reynolds, I'm back! Thiago is mine. If you back down, I'll give you twenty million as compensation."

Looking at the text message on her phone, Luzia's lips curved. The message sender was said to be Thiago Vaughan’s most beloved woman. Four years ago, she left for some reason, and Luzia was lucky enough to be her substitute.

Luzia walked into the bedroom holding her phone and fixed her gaze on the tall man standing by the window. It was only after quite a while that she came to her senses. Then, she quickly trotted over and wrapped her arms around the man's waist, whispering, "Mr. Vaughan, Miss Langley sent me a text message again. Do you need me to call her to explain our relationship?"

"No," Thiago Vaughan said in a light tone, "I have already asked the lawyer to draft our divorce agreement, so you just have to sign on it."

Luzia pretended to be sad. "That's a pity. I was going to snitch on her! Well, it’s great that she will be yours again."

Thiago couldn't see her expression but he could hear the lightness in her tone.

Yes, the sky would fall if Luzia was sad.

Luzia finished speaking and she was about to withdraw her hands. However, Thiago grabbed her, and with a tug, Luzia crashed into his broad chest.

She gently snuggled in his arms, raised her chin, and welcomed his kiss.

After the kiss, she leaned against his chest, panting a little. In a sweet voice, she asked, "Miss Langley whom you've been thinking about a lot is coming back. Aren't you afraid that she'll be jealous of our relationship?"

"You are still Mrs. Vaughan." His implication was that as long as they were not divorced, it was necessary for her to fulfill the obligation of a wife.

Thiago raised her chin and kissed her again.

In fact, he liked Luzia very much. Besides looking like the woman he loved most, he also liked her figure.

Men were visual animals. Unless it was a woman they really fancied, they liked only a woman’s appearance. Compared with aging women, of course, men would prefer young and beautiful women with hot bodies.

“I just came back from outside and I’m sweaty all over. I’ll go take a shower first." With that, Luzia slipped out of Thiago’s embrace.

Thiago looked at her with an unclear expression. "Together?"

Luzia threw him an ogling glance before stepping into the bathroom. Then, she stuck out her body and said, "Mr. Vaughan, I think I still prefer to bathe alone." The next second, the door was closed unceremoniously.

Thiago's expression changed. He adored Luzia's play-hard-to-get attitude, just like a demon who was born to seduce people.

Four years ago, his beloved woman left due to some misunderstanding and gave up their wedding. He sought out a woman who looked very similar to her as a replacement. As expected, he got married. However, what surprised everyone was that his bride was not the daughter of the Langley family.

Everyone said that he was disloyal, but only the two families knew that it was Jaliyah Langley who escaped the marriage. The Langley family were guilty but Thiago loved Jaliyah so deeply that he didn't take revenge on them. Instead, he took in a woman who loved money as his stand-in wife.

The Cinderella, as known by everyone, was Luzia Reynolds.

Luzia was so tired that she couldn't even move her fingers and she slept until seven in the evening before getting up.

When she woke up, she went into the bathroom to take a bath and changed into a dress that she had just bought. After dolling up a little, she opened the door and went downstairs.

Thiago was having dinner as she walked up to kiss him on the cheek. With a smile, she asked, "Why didn't you call me when you got up?"

"You were sleeping very soundly, so I didn’t feel like waking you up," replied Thiago as he placed a dish on his plate.

Luzia kissed him on the face again and said towards the kitchen, "Avaa, I'm hungry."

After a while, a plump middle-aged woman with a happy look came over with a dish in her hand. "Oh, Mrs. Vaughan, I didn't expect you to come down fast. Mr. Vaughan just said that you might sleep a little longer because you were tired, so he asked me to reserve the food."

Luzia sat down with a smile. When she saw that Avaa Fischer had brought over all the dishes she liked, the words she said came out even nicer. "You’re the best. You always prepare my favorite food."

"Eat more. You came back thinner. It's good that you're back now. I'll prepare good food for you every day," Avaa said merrily.

"Thank you."

Not long after Avaa left the dining room, Thiago almost finished eating. He wiped his mouth and said, "Go to my parents’ place tomorrow. Mom could use you as a company since Dad is on a business trip. It's boring for her to stay at home alone."

"Sounds good."

Luzia's smile was sweet, which made Thiago be enchanted for a moment. It was true that her facial features looked like Jaliyah, but he didn't expect even their smiles were so similar. Actually, Luzia was even more unique if compared with Jaliyah.

"Be good at my parents’ place."

"Yes, Mr. Vaughan."

Thiago stood up, and then Luzia also followed suit. She pointed at her cheek and said cheekily, "Gimme a kiss."

Thiago gave her a glance, walked over, and pecked on her right cheek very lightly.

"You eat by yourself. I still have some work to do."

"Sure."

They were like a couple who had lived together for many years. Their daily habits had long been remembered in each other’s hearts. Although there were no more beautiful flowers as foils, their way of getting along with each other could still be seen through their tacit understanding. Who would have thought that they would soon end their contract of marriage?
