Chapter 1

After enduring three arduous months, Leah Nicholson finally completed the graduation defense at the prestigious A University, a trial renowned for its hellish intensity. With exceptional results, she successfully crossed the threshold of graduation.

On the day the defense ended, she was filled with vitality as she sought out her beloved boyfriend, Zac Gray, with whom she had shared three years of companionship. She yearned to share this joyful news with him.

As Leah arrived at the doorstep of Zac's apartment, a cacophony of depraved moans emanated from within before her hand could knock.

"Mmm... Zac, be gentle... I can't bear it any longer," the woman's voice echoed, soaked in licentiousness.

"Darling, how can I be gentle when you grip me so tightly?" Zac gasped, his breath heavy with desire.

The woman, sensually swaying her waist, provocatively parted her crimson lips. "Zac, tell me honestly, who is better? Me or Leah?"

With each determined thrust, Zac answered, "My sweet, undoubtedly it is you. How could that insipid Leah ever compare to your allure? I would never have entertained her if it weren't for her inheritance."

Upon hearing these words, Leah's heart turned as cold as ice.

She stood motionless at the doorway, tears welling in her eyes, struggling to comprehend the truth of what she had just heard.

After a considerable time had passed, she was again startled by the passionate cries from within the room.

"Zac! Zac, open this door!" Anger surged within her, and she vehemently pounded on the door.

Suddenly, the sounds from inside ceased, replaced by calm movements. Eventually, the door was pushed open, revealing only Zac standing alone, with no trace of any other woman in sight.

Leah rushed inside, catching a fleeting glimpse of a figure vanishing on the balcony.

That woman must have fled through the balcony!

After all, beyond the balcony lay the enchanting garden.

Vaguely, she felt a flicker of familiarity in the woman's silhouette.

Leah strode purposefully towards the balcony to investigate, yet she found no trace. The woman had already disappeared into the distance.

"Leah, allow me a moment to explain. Things aren't as you perceive them. " Zac's complexion alternated between pallor and sallowness, caught unexpectedly in his deceit.

Clutching her trembling hands, Leah turned and walked toward the edge of the messy bed. Lifting the tangled sheets, she discovered beneath them a woman's undergarments.

Her disappointment in Zac grew all-encompassing, enveloping her being.

Without waiting for another word from the man by her side, she delivered a resounding slap, suppressing her choked sobs. "Zac, you are a true embodiment of human filth! Were you only with me for what my mother left behind? You are repulsive beyond measure!"

Having spoken her piece, she fled without a second glance, paying no heed to Zac's frantic attempts to chase after her.

......

The night descended upon the city.

Leah tossed and turned in bed, unable to find solace in sleep. Her eyes burned with the weight of unshed tears.

Thoughts of their three-year relationship weighed heavily on her heart, inflicting unbearable pain.

At dawn's first light, she resolved to confront Zacand unravel the tangled web of their connection.

When daylight fully embraced the world, she dialed Zac's number, arranging a meeting. Astonishingly, this petty man still harbored thoughts of retaining her affections.

As Leah arrived, he hastily rose from his seat. "Leah, what happened last night was truly a misunderstanding! I hold no affection for that woman. She was the one who pursued me relentlessly. You must believe me... You are the one I adore the most!"

Having spent a sleepless night, Leah's eyes remained swollen.

She settled onto the small sofa, picked up a glass of lemonade from the nearby table, and sipped. Gradually, her spirit rekindled. "I have no desire to hear your explanations. I called you here today to convey one thing face to face."

"Let's break up!"
