Introduction

Candace Moore had once been celebrated as the most beautiful girl in the city until a tragic accident left her with an unimaginable ugliness, both inside and out. Everyone in Ocean City labeled her as a disfigured lunatic. In stark contrast, Lionel Luke, the esteemed Young Master of the Luke Family, possessed not only wealth but also striking good looks. His influence and power were enough to send shivers down anyone's spine. Yet, despite his impeccable taste in most matters, it seemed inexplicable that such a Greek God-like figure would fall deeply in love with someone like Candace Moore. All attempts to dissuade Lionel from marrying her proved futile. Lionel's determination remained unshakable as he adamantly proclaimed, "My wife is perfect in every way!"

Chapter 1

In the Moore Manor in Ocean City.

"You are not allowed to come in!"

A shout came from the second-floor master bedroom.

The servant standing at the door trembled. The cup in her hand almost fell to the ground.

The door was half closed, but no one dared to enter. The faces of the servants were pale. They looked at each other, and no one dared to go forward.

Just when they were at a loss, the sound of high heels stepping on the ground came from the corridor. Then, a sharp and cold voice sounded. "What's going on?"

Hearing the voice, several servants standing aside took a step back to the two sides and respectfully called, "Madam."

"What's wrong with her?" The woman's voice was full of disgust and she asked unhappily.

Standing closest to the woman, a servant said in a low voice, "She seems to have had an attack again..."

The servant didn't dare to say the following words in person. The words were stuck in her throat.

Without waiting for the servant to finish her words, the woman snorted coldly and said, "Just send her to the hospital if there is an attack!"

"But... Sir..." The servant wanted to speak but stopped on second thought.

Hearing this, the woman sighed helplessly and then ordered in a low voice, "Then keep an eye on her. If she runs out again this time, I won't spare you!"

The servants nodded repeatedly. "Yes, Madam."

After that, they turned around and fled, soon disappearing at the corner of the stairs.

The woman stood at the door and hesitated for a long time. She did not go in but turned to leave.

In the room, a girl around 20 years old was sitting barefoot beside the bed. She wore a long T-shirt and a pair of shorts. She was sitting on the carpet with her long hair blocking her face.

If the seaweed-like long hair was lifted, one would be able to see an extremely beautiful face.

She had thick eyebrows and big eyes. Her skin was fair, and her eyes seemed to contain a lot of shining stars. She was extremely beautiful.

After the sound outside faded away, the girl moved her body. She placed her hands on the edge of the bed and stood up.

It was widely known that the daughter of the Moore family was out of her mind three years ago and her appearance had been ruined. Every time she got sick, she was like a devil...

It was said that the Moore family was afraid of losing face, so they didn't send Miss Moore to a mental hospital. Instead, they imprisoned her at home.

But no one knew how beautiful she was.

Candace Moore was as sweet as her name. One could never find a girl as beautiful as her in the whole Ocean City.

But since three years ago, Candace had been living in the Moore Manor and never left. She had become a lunatic who was being gossiped by people in Ocean City...

After it was completely quiet outside, Candace walked to the door and reached out to open it. The light in the corridor had been turned off. Candace tightened her grip on the handle of the door.

She was afraid of the dark. Extremely.

But that night, she had to go out.

She took out her phone from her pocket, turned on the light, and then slowly walked downstairs barefoot.

Half an hour later.

Candace changed her long t-shirt, and her long hair was tied up high. Her makeup was exquisite, and she had a lollipop in her mouth.

She wore a black leather coat, a pair of tight leather pants, and a pair of Martin boots. She looked extremely cold.

"Candace, this competition is different from the past. The participants are all famous people in Ocean City. Can you do it?" The woman standing next to Candace whispered.

Candace turned to look at the woman and said with a smile, "Flora, what are you afraid of? It's not you who's competing."

Flora laughed. "My child, I'm just worried about you."

Candace bit the lollipop in her mouth, chewed it a few times, and swallowed it. She turned to Flora and asked, "How much is the bet?"
