Chapter 1

She rolled to the other side of the bed having the bed cover on her body, her eyes narrowed to see the dim coloured light shining in the room.

"Goodness!" She forcefully sat on the bed,her eyes darting around the room to study where she was. She blinked and wiped her face. "This is not my room." She pulled off the bed cover only for her to discover her nakedness.

Her eyes flew open with mouth agape, she was shocked down to her spine.

"How? When?" She mumbled in question while covering herself.

She is Anastasia Grande, the daughter of one of the trillionaires in the states. Being invited to the birthday party by her friend, Jane…she ended up in a state she couldn't imagine.

Trying to recollect everything that occurred the past night in the party, her eyes landed on a sheet of folded paper, placed on the table near the bed she has been seating on.

She swallowed deeply, stretched her hand and took hold of the paper. Disclosed it in order to see what's written in it.

"Not me! This shouldn't be true." She cried out and tore the paper into two. Jumped down from the bed in search of her clothes, but it was nowhere around the corner.

'Thank you for the blissful night together.' The words written in the letter rang in her ears again and she covered them up.

Hot balls of tears rolled down her cheeks, she was unable to wipe them off. She made a long contorted face.

"It's not a one-night stand right? I can't do that." She bit her lower lips. "Was I raped? I can't remember coming over to this room? Did I end up being dragged?"

A slight smile filled with bitterness and pain stretched her lips, then she finally wiped the tears on her cheek.

Having no clothes to put on, she wrapped the towel she saw on the sofa around her chest to leave the room, but the tone of her cell phone drew back her attention.

She turned around in search of the cell phone she almost left.

"Dad…" She sighed when she stared at the screen, and then she picked up the phone.

"Why aren't you back yet, Anastasia? For goodness sake, why would you mess up yourself at a birthday party? I warned you to stay back home but you insisted on leaving—" Mr. Liam screeched at his daughter through the phone.

She glanced at the phone screen again. "What are you talking about dad? I only went to a birthday party with my friend."

"Birthday party my foot!!" The phone almost slipped off her palm on hearing him yell that way. "You attended a birthday party that's damaging your reputation. Tell me what happened."

"I don't really get it dad, it's a birthday party."

"Then you should be back home within ten minutes, we need to sort ourselves out." He hung up the call.

Her feet glued to the floor while she stared at her cell phone, still not getting what her father was talking about.

"Damaging my reputation?" She soliloquized, trying to get what's going on…but she recalled nothing. "Like seriously, I'm gonna leave this resort this way huh?" She scoffed and tied the towel tightly to her body, then made her way out of the door.

She felt not just ashamed but frustrated, walking through the empty hallway, lost in thought…not until she stumbled into a pillar that took her up from her feet, ready to hit her to the floor, but she ended up in the arms of a stranger.

Her eyes slowly opened to stare at the broad chest she found her head on, the shoulder and arms that had her in. His handsome face and curly hair made her gasp.

"Uhmm…I'm sorry…Uhmm…" She stammered, taking herself away from him.

He let go of her, but his eyes fixed on her body. "Why on towel?"

"I just decided to have it on, you can get going." She picked up her cell phone that was laying on the floor and twitched out immediately.

Her mind raced as she took a turn to any direction she saw, until she found herself outside the building.

Different faces and genders passing by took a stare at her and she became uncomfortable with their looks. Being less concerned, she headed to the nearby boutique situated in the resort.

"I'll make a transfer, just get me a nice cloth." She referred to the first attendant she met, but a lady came over with a package and handed it to her.

"Uh-huh!" She rolled her eyes.

"He already paid for it, about to get it for you before you came in."

"He? Who's he?" Her brows arched.

"He's anonymous." The attendant walked out.

Standing for a while baffled, she decided to have the cloth on. It's almost the ten minutes given to her by her father.

She admired how fitted the gown was on her body before leaving the boutique. In a haste, she drove back home.

"Dad! Dad!!" She called out after alighting from the car, but one of the servants announced that the father had already left for the company.

Instantly, she drove off again, heading to the company this time.

The workers were standby, staring at each other and murmuring while taking a look at each other's cell phones.

None of them could stare at her with a loud greeting as usual, rather they shifted for her to pass by.

She was getting insane seeing what was going on. These aren't the workers she employed, looking down on her like she's trash.

No time for bullying. She took the elevator that dropped her on the last floor, then she headed to see her father.

"My workers are acting weird, what's going on dad?" Her voice rising at each word.

The not too old man stood up. "Seems like you haven't taken a look on the Internet since today."

She sighed and unlocked her phone, then logged into her Instagram account immediately. The first image she came in sight with sent dread all over her body.

Goosebumps fell on her skin repeatedly…her mouth agape staring at her father without a blink.

"Anastasia…"

"Dad, tell me this is not true. No! It's not true right?" She took a heavy breath and slumped to the floor.
