Simmi's POV
The man sitting next to me on the flight to Canada groaned for the fiftieth time.
What was his problem??
" Are you all right?? Do you need something? Maybe I can help you. " I asked politely.
" Yes!! I need some more leg space. Can you help with that?" He snapped at me.
" Excuse me?? Then you should have booked a ticket for business class. "
" I didn't book this... Listen, please mind your own business. I already have too much on my mind. " He said and press the bell to call the air hostess.
" Yes, sir?? How may I help you?"
" I want you to upgrade my seat to the business class, right now!" He said as if he owned the airline.
" Sorry, sir, I already told you that all the seats are booked in business class. I am afraid it is not possible. " She said and left.
" Ughhh!! " He was frustrated and called a number on his phone.
" You are fired!!! " He said and disconnected the call.
What the hell!!
The food was served but he didn't even touch it, He asked for a drink instead.
I started eating the food served by the airlines but didn't like the bland food much, so I opened my handbag and took out the tasty cutlets and kebabs I had packed with me and started eating it.
I moaned after taking a bite. And realised that the man sitting beside me looked at me with a weird expression.
" What?? It is awesome!! Want to try? " I asked him. He seemed to be hungry.
" N..no... thanks for asking." He said, but I knew he wanted to try it.
" It's ok, you can try. If you like you can share with me, if you don't like it, I won't mind it, since it's not your kind of food." I said.
" Is that spicy? " He asked.
" Only if you eat the chillies with them. " I said.
" No, I will try without chillies. " He said.
I rolled a bit of spicy potato cutlets in a wrap and gave it to him. He took a bite of it and seemed to like it.
" Thanks!! It is good. " He said.
" Had to be, I made it. I was the best student in my college. " I said and thought he would ask me about me or college but he didn't.
Strange man! Anyway, I offered him one more roll.
" Are you sure? Do you have enough of it for you? " He asked, I nodded, he shrugged and took it and thanked me.
I could not control it anymore and asked him, " So you are from London? " As he boarded the plane from London.
" No!! Canada. " He said.
" Wow!! Really?? " I smiled at that.
" Yes! So what?? " He looked at me weirdly.
" I am Simmi, going to Canada as well. " I said with excitement.
" Ok! "
Ok? That's it?? Such a dry and boring man.
" Generally speaking, when someone tells their name to you, you should also introduce yourself. " I said.
" Why do you want to know my name?? Are you interested in me? Well, don't give me that cute and sweet girl look because I am not interested. See my taste is a bit better than that. " He said and smirked.
What the hell!! What the hell does he think of himself??
" I am not at all interested in you. It's just that I was getting bored so thought of talking to you. You think very highly of yourself, but let me assure you, I am not at all interested in you, In fact, my taste is much better than you. As it is, I am already married to a very handsome Canadian man. " I told him.
" Ok! " He said and nodded.
Is he mad or what?? To hell with him. I put the earphones in my ear and closed my eyes. It was better than talking to the arrogant man.
Just then there was some turbulence and I got scared as it was the first time, I was travelling alone. I started panicking. I removed the earplugs and heard the announcement that a hurricane was there, I caught the armrest of my chair so tightly that my knuckles turned white.
" Hey! I think you were lying." The man sitting next to me said.
" About what? " I asked.
" That you are not interested in me. " He said with a smirk.
" How can you say so??" I was getting angry now.
" Look at yourself you are doing all this panic attack act to seek my attention. " He said.
" Are you out of your mind?? " I glared at him.
" You are holding my hand so tightly." He said. I realised that I was his hand, not the armrest. So I released it immediately.
" You want me to distract you by kissing you or something like that? So that you can lure me. Well, tough luck sweetheart, I am not interested." He said.
" Neither am I... I told you I am married to a much more handsome man than you and I am madly in love with him. " I said with annoyance.
" Where is that handsome man? Left you alone to travel by yourself? " He asked.
" So what?? I am old enough to take care of myself. "
" So you really think that your husband is more handsome than me?"
" Yes!! How many times do I have to repeat that?? " I was getting angry now.
" I think you are exaggerating."
" Shut up! "I shouted at him.
" By the way, the turbulence has settled down. " He said and realised that he must have done that to distract me.
" Oh, thanks. " I said looking around.
Finally, the plane landed, I was very excited as I was going to meet him after almost a year. It was a long time and he kept telling me that he was missing me so badly. Today, we both would be together forever.
I was waiting to collect my bags. Just then I saw one of my bags on the conveyor belt. I tried to pick it up but they were heavy. I was trying to pick them up just then I heard a voice.
