Chapter 01
Some people live a life in a full of happiness. But some are in deep sadness. World isn't fair. Yeah, and I would agree on that thing.
It's been one week since my mother died in aged. And I still can't just forget about that because she's my mom, ky everything. So, I ended up lying on this floor again and thinking how would I continue my life again.
Can I?
I closed my eyes.
Yes, I can. But how? How would I continue my study too? We're not rich like my friends. We don't have a lot of money. And my father left us years ago, for the reason that she doesn't want to live a life with my mother. And now, he's happy in his new family.
I just cried in so much pain.
Why all sudden?
I can't take it all, I guess.
I'm hoping that I'm just dreaming.
“Liane, my condolences. ” Those are the last words that I heard from my friends and after that it all went back that like nothing happened something bad one me.
I'm not saying that they're not my true friends, but somehow I feel sulk at them. I don't know why. Maybe it's part of this sh*t? Ugh, those stages that the doctor said.
Never knew that would be true.
“Liane, hush. If you need something, we're just here okay? We're friends. Friends helps each other, ” Kath said. One of my closest friend so I can totally say that she's my bestfriend.
“I know. But it hurts, my Papa knows that she's dead but he's not here. How dare he... ” I whispered.
“Just let him. Demons doesn't need here in your mother's wake. ” I didn't uttered a word again. She has a point.
My eyes roamed the whole area. There's no one seating in the chairs and no one visited my mother's wake except for my friends. I cried more deep inside.
“Liane, where are your other relatives? ” Now, Hans asked me. I thought I'm the only thinking that everyone should come.
“I don't know. ” I didn't want to say more, something that is more painful than this so I immediately shut my mouth and looks like he got my point too so yeah, he just stayed silent too.
”That's too harsh for them. They didn't showed up in her grave? Err, are they have thick faces? ” Crizel said.
“Hey, hey! You're too loud! Can't you just sit properly? I can even see your panties! ” Aaron scolded her like her own father.
“Don't look, you dummy. ” Crizel glared.
“How?! Look how you sit! ”
“If you still look, I'll gouge out your eyeballs. ” And with that, Aaron tried his best to not look on it.
Tsk.
Why would she sit like that anyway?
She's wearing a clothes that exposing too much of her skin plus she's wearing a very very very very short skirt! Just what the hell?
“Give some respect, ” Katherine said to them.
“We know. ”
After that, silence eat up the whole place. My friends let me to be alone because they all know that I need it too specially times like this. And that's the reason why I'm all alone in this freaking bed inside my room. I don't know how long will I stay in here.
I'm not eating since my mother's wake and I have no plans too. I feel like I'm losing everything. What if I lose my self too?
But in the midst of that, I just got stopped when hearing a loud thuds coming from the downstairs. I csn even hear the fast footsteps until it reaches my door and after that, there's a rain of loud knocks.
Are they want to wreck my door?
“Liane! You'll get out of that or I'll throw a slap on your face?! ” In just a voice, I can even say that she's my friend Crizel. Because yeah, that's too bitchy and it suits her too.
“Hey! You're not helping! It's not like that, dummy! ” Now I can hear Aaron's voice.
“Err, atleast I have my efforts not like you. You're doing nothing and you're always asking but not helping too. Loser! ”
They're not helping. They're just making the situation worst, geez.
“You're efforts are fake, don't give me that kind of question again. ”
Silence.
“Liane, it's me, Katherine. ”
I stayed in my position.
“Please, get out in your room. We have plenty of good foods here. This is all for you. You need to fixed yourself. Do you think you're Mom will be happy seeing you like this? ” She asked.
“I don't care... ” My voice broke.
“Liane! Our professors finding you. They giving you one month rest for school. And you'll be stayed in your scholarship too, ” Hans said too.
“I-is that even true? ”
“Yes! So get out and start a new life. ”
In just a couple of minutes, I opened the door and finally faced them with my 'almost-dying face'.
“Oh gosh, you're too pale! ” All of them, got shock.
“I have some meds here. Drink it later, Liane. And it is from our Pharmaceutical company meaning, it is branded and well proven that you'll be fine! ” Crizel clapped her hands a bit.
I blinked.
“Thank you, ” I uttered.
“Of course! We are friends and friends helps each other! ” Crizel hugged us immediately.
“Hey, hey! It hurts! ” Aaron shouted.
And Hans seems so irritated too by Crizel's move. But we have no choice. Because she is she. I just smiled seeing my friends like this. I'm happy with them.
Knowing that they have my side...
