Diana from the farm singing happily in her beautiful little seablue patched up gown after a long day at the farm with Stacy hopping through their way home to the orphanage. They stumbled on beautiful lady in a carriage, her eyes dazzled at our gaze upon her, beautiful as ever. She had a red lips like that of the strawberries in the farm, her skin glows as the sun kissed upon a cheeks, "she's like princess", Stacy said, I stood with my eyes still on her gaze. I said to myself "Lady Diana", I will be as beautiful and stunning as ever......
We arrived at the orphanage with the thought of the pretty lady we saw while on our way back home, "Diana? Stacy called, "what's it's like to be a princess, would I get to live in a Castle?, oh! Will have beautiful dresses not like the one's charity donates, she said in a sad tone.
She's the prettiest dont you think Diana? Stacy asked again, I knuckled not even given a chance to answer her first question, "I nodded in response to get her to stop talking.
Stacy has always been the one with a fairytale and dreamy fantasies, Stacy and I have been friends since I arrived at the orphanage. Stacy was the first to talk to shy little Diana, and immediately took fond of her because of her charisma, and sense on humour. Stacy hails from Northampton, she then moved to England after the death of her parents in a crash, with no relations she was brought to Greenwich Church orphanage home. She's always wanna be a princess just like "Lady Amelia Windsor".
"Diana you have such pretty eyes and skin like milk, you'll fit for a princess, or you are a princess My Lady", and bowed before me. "Come on Lady Diana of Wales dance with me", she said, the other girls in the room happily sang and watch us dance around the room till we felt off our feet. "She's indeed beautiful Stacy, never I've I thought of being a princess but I wanna be "Lady Diana". I said.
Stacy we need to get outta here, I know there's a whole world out there for us, Stacy can't you see your dreaming in the wrong place.........
Stacy knuckled, "and how are we supposed to do that huh", we got about a year to turn eighteen before we can be let outta here. Maybe perhaps we could runaway psycho, Stacy laughed and continued to fixing her bed.
Diana knew she couldn't wait any longer, she was so eager, waiting a year looks like a delay for seventeen year old Diana.
She watched out the windows how the breeze blows through the grasses, she said " how free and beautiful how nature is, oh Diana, when will you ever get this free, like the waves of the ocean".
"Hello mate", Are you ok?. Stacy asked.
Well, "I am, just got a lot going on"
Well I've got good news for you Diana, we've been offered a job. Stacy said in a low and unhappy tone.
In excitement Diana turned around and screamed out, happily and with so much joy.
"Stacy, you look unhappy, I thought you wanted to leave here, you should be happy Stace", think of it we will be together too, we will explore like we always talked about. What's wrong Stace?.
Still waiting for Stacy's response, "Don't you wanna go?",
Stacy in response, " we are going to be maids Diana, do I look like I want to be a maid Diana", Stacy cried out. I'm a princess not a maid Diana, how could dey do this to me Diana. Stacy cried.
I giggled, Stace we will be together alright, don't be a cry baby, I'm way to excited to leave here Stace, a whole new adventure awaits us Stace. Stacy replied, " a whole new chores, Diana"
We both giggled while Diana dried Stacy's eyes.
Stacy giggled at the little girls playing Romeo and Juliet characters,
"Diana do you remember how we used to play like them and act mischievously to the sisters, and how I'll get you into lots of trouble, she smiled".
Yeah Stace, the sisters will always make us do the dishes, hahahaha. I missed those days Stace, she smiled warmly.
I'm so happy we got to be best friends Diana, and we got to go everywhere and be every together, she smiled.
Uh oh not everywhere you silly, hahahaha.
I'm happy we get to be together Stace.
I will miss this place Stace, except the gross meal sister Martha cooks on Sunday, " both laughter and hurried out to the stable".
"Diana do you think the mistress will be nice?"
Stacy asked.
"Well I don't know, but as long as I get to leave here soon, it doesn't really matter Stace".
Diana said.
Stace giggled......
"Oh how much I'll miss you Felix", said Stacy
Who's Felix?. Diana asked.
"The horse, stupid", Stacy replied angrily
"You gave the horse a name, Stacy". Diana yelled.
Yeah, everyone deserves a name, Stacy angrily left the stable.
"She's so unbelievable, how did she know his name is Felix, pathetic". Huh
"Stace wait up",
Diana hurried up to meet up with Stacy.
I was only pulling your legs Stace, I'll miss Felix too.
They both stare at each other, Diana waiting for Stacy's response.
"Alright, I forgive you"
" Thank you, Stacy wanna make some pies for the girls today?". Diana asked.
"Girls?" Shouted Stacy
"Well yes?" Said Diana.
"I promised the girls to help them with their hairs, I'm so stupid to forget", Stacy said running towards the hostel.
"She's so nice and forgetful" Diana mumbled to herself allowing a smile escape her lips.
"Stacy, Diana you've been called", said sister Martha.
"Ok mum" Stacy replied
"I'm not your mum bitch" sister Martha
Mumuring in the room after sister Martha made use of the B word.
How embarrassing as the sister left the room in anger.
Diana and Stacy knuckled at the incident.
They got dressed ready to go meet the Father and their soon to be boss. Since they couldn't get adopted, they have to go work before getting a life from what they however save from their earnings.
"Are you you nervous?" asked Diana
"Not a bit mate" answered Stacy
"Ok let's do this" replied Diana
They said making their way to the father's office, approaching there, they saw the Lady from the farm.
In excitement Stacy couldn't hold it in her and screamed out.
"My dear, are you ok"?
"Yes Father, never be better". Stacy replied happily upon seeing the Lady.
"Well my dear children, this is Lady Marie".they bow their heads in sign of respect and acknowledgement
"Lady Marie will be your mistress, and you should show her respect and obey her wishes"
"Lady Marie has been donating to this foundation, so see to it she's happy".
"Understood?". Asked Father
"Yes Father, replied both girls
Lady Marie took a glance at both girls, and nodded in response to the Father.
Stacy's thoughts.
"She's so elegant, beautiful, she smells like roses. Oh! How bright and clear is her skin, she may be taking a bath in milk and roses. Oh my mistress you do not know how I've longed to see you one more time".
Diana noticing Stacy in thoughts, hits her to snap her off it.
Diana whisper to Stacy
"Are you drawling again"
Stacy replied.
"Leave me be my dreams are in lines mate"
Diana knuckled.
Lady Marie stood up to take a proper look of the girls before taking her leave. She said,
"I like them, they clean up nice"
Diana smiled, and admired the beautiful red dress and the sleek glows embedded with crystal red stones, her elegant fur robes and her crystal pump heels which defines the tone of the beautiful legs.
Diana in thoughts.
"Soon it will not just be Diana, But Lady Diana, in a beautiful black silk dress, gold fur coat with a strap gold heel and a black crystal purse, oh Lady Diana your elegance.........
Snapped back to reality by the scream of Stacy
Diana!!! Diana!!! Diana!!!.…...
We leave in two days!.......
How exciting, I can't wait!.…..
Stacy yelled out in excitement.
Oh my what do I do with you Stacy, always a wrong timing to yap and yell. Still in the father's office.
" You may leave now, and get ready"
Father said.
Stacy hurried out so happily.
Diana hummed a song while she walk back to her room.
Other girls: is it true Diana
Girl 1: are you really leaving in two days?
Girl 2: will you give me some of your old clothes?
Girl 3: I heard your mistress is a pretty one?
They rumbled,
Yes!! yes!! yes!! yes!!!.........
Diana yelled getting back their audience, "we have two days,and two day is a whole lot of days remember, your continuous yelling and questioning might make me lose my mind, ok".
Little girl: will miss you Diana, promise you'll come visit?
The little girl stares at Diana with tears in her eyes,then Diana replied, " I Will, of course. Here if you miss me hold on to this stuffed bear".
"I remember making that what I was ten with my mum, she'll say if your scared hold on to that for me ok".
The carriage arrived, just at about 11:45am ready to take the girls.
Stacy yelled, "don't worry mates will always come visit ok".
Diana said her goodbyes and approaching the carriage when sister Martha came out and hugged the girls in tears.
"Stacy don't go daydreaming, be nice' said sister Martha
Stacy replied, " yes Mom".
I guess your my child anyways, said sister Martha
The got on the carriage and waved goodbyes.....
As they rode through the country sides, they gazed on the beautiful flowers of the farm, the elegant dresses show cases on the stores they went by, Diana was so amazed at all she saw, the berries and fresh juicy fruits, and caught a glance of a boy, who was always glaring at her for a moment and she got shy and closed the curtains and smiled
"It's quite beautiful, right" Stacy asked as she noticed Diana shutting the windows.
"Yes, yes it's is", as she smiled thinking about the boy she just saw. He had a sliver god like eyes and a red pout lips, quite talk and he looked so elegant and amazing.
"He must be a wealthy guy", she thought.
"But nobody has ever looked at me like that, well no a man that godly and elegant", she thought, she could feel her heart beating and pounding at the same time.
"Oh! How I wish to see you again" she thought, smiling stupidly
"I never knew leaving the orphanage will bring so much joy and happiness and can put such a beautiful smile on your lovely face" Stacy said to Diana.
Diana smiled in return as response. Stacy yelled approaching the mansion, "oh my gracious, could this be the castle" Stacy was so amazed by it's enormous size, I guess that's why they need a maid. Diana thought.
"Diana my dreams are finally coming through, I don't need to be a princess for now, but soon I tell you, my prince charming can be anywhere" Stacy yelled
"Stop day dreaming stupid. We are here to work stupid, and not marry a prince, Stacy concentrate" Diana said.
The coachman opened the door, as they highlighted, they were amazed at the beauty of the compound, as the turned around, they saw Lady Marie and two other maids standing behind her. We how in respect as we walked towards her.
"Grace, Sheila this are the new maid, Diana and Stacy, you'll appoint them to their task and chores, make no mistake, break nothing and we will be happy", Lady Marie stated. As she walked away she stopped and turned around, "show them to their rooms, and tomorrow you may come see me,I guess your journey was quite a stress, isn't it?".
Stacy hurried to reply, but Diana stopped her and replied instead, "Yes My Lady".
"Very well then, I'll leave you to Grace and Sheila". Lady Marie said and left. Grace and Sheila squealed in excitement, "you'll love it here" Sheila said, "but first Sheila, let's show them to their rooms" said Grace. As they make it up to the hallway, Diana noticed most of the beautiful painting on the walls and pictures of the Lady Marie and a boy. Do Diana asked "Lady Marie, is she married?", "Why yes,but he died few years ago" replied grace. "So who's the lad, in this portraits?", Diana asked "always inquisitive Diana", Stacy said in disgust. "It's ok", replied Sheila. "The lad is Lady Marie's son, his so dreamy and charming", said Grace and Sheila. "But his rather rude to us". Said sheila
"Here's your room Diana", Said Grace. Stacy's jaw drops seeing the beauty of the room, the bed and a side drawer in the middle, a dresser by the left and a beautiful rug in the middle of the room and a table on it with a flower vase on it.
Stacy jumped on the bed and said " this is way too much for the both of us", Grace and Sheila knuckled, "this is Diana's room yours is nextdoor". Said Grace.
Stacy squealed in excitement an rushed out to see the room and screamed in excitement. The girls rushed in, Stacy eyes were wary, she murmured to herself "I'm a princess at last", they all knuckled.
"We will let you guys settle in, tomorrow walk up buy 7am and meet Lady Marie in her room, first door second door by the right. Welcome once again". Said Grace. Stacy and Diana hurried back to their rooms to get settled in.
"Stacy?", Diana called out
"Yes" replied Stacy
"I'm happy we are here together".
