Congratulations Ms. Fonce, you're pregnant! These words of the doctor kept running in Lucy's mind as it seemed like a horse was chasing her heartbeat as she boarded the taxi going to the location of Dale's penthouse unit. She kept pressing her lips due to overflowing happiness while her palm was on her tummy which was covered by a red chiffon dress. She smiled gazing at the window, watching the heavy rain even though there was no storm.
The taxi stopped in front of the condominium building. She opened her foldable umbrella. She could feel the cold and the edge of the raindrops touching her skin while her feet were soaked in rainwater because she was wearing flat sandals.
As she walked into the vast lobby, she froze senseless, her heart seeming to stop beating upon seeing familiar faces. It's Dale grasping Charlie's both shoulders while she tightly hugging him, kissing!
Lucy's hands got weak, the umbrella dropped on the tiled floor followed by her tears, "Dale…"
Dale's eyes widened, he pushed Charlie then ran at Lucy. "Lucy, it's not what you think!" He tried grabbing her but she moved back.
"I know it's my fault, Dale! I am the bad girl, the coward, the two-timer b-but you said you will wait until I can finally hold onto you…" her mind couldn't even think, only her mouth did. She runs while shivering in pain and anger.
He ran after her, but she just ran in the rain like a crazy woman without looking back nor looking her way. She was drenched in the rain which mixed into her tears. A moment later the squealing sound of a car roared!
CRASH!!
Lucy fell to the ground, blood flowing from her head. Suddenly in Dale's eyes, the raindrops halt together with the world.
With all the heaviness he's feeling he walks near and hugs her, "We're going to the hospital, hang on me, Sissy please!!" He cried out.
Lucy, while engulfed with tears and blood, her eyes turned blurry, grasped Dale's face. "For a moment I forgot, your right, love is selfish Dale. But humans shouldn't be so selfish at all…"
Want to know the myth of Wish upon a Church's door? Well, it all started with an innocent young boy who crazily loves a woman.
Tug-tug... Tug-tug... your heart pounds so fast. The sound becomes louder and louder like that of the train starting to run faster. The sound makes your ears deaf. Your tummy hurts as if it is being squeezed, you start to feel nervous and it is hard to breathe. They say this is the feeling of love at first sight. But maybe they're wrong because I believe it's unusual to love someone at first sight but instead, perhaps this is the feeling of a crush!
CRUSH...
The year 2019... Fairview Quezon City, Philippines.
It was still February and the weather here, in the two-seasoned tropical country, was still refreshing. Raindrops unexpectedly fell and mixed with the cold wind that blew to the ground.
"John Dale Suarez! John Dale…" A woman kept calling the boy with the umbrella. He was walking just a few meters ahead of her.
"Huh! Can't you hear me?" she said after approaching the teenager. "I've been calling you since earlier, can you share your umbrella with me?"
She continued speaking while doing her best to keep up with him. She starts acting cute like a kitten in front of this boy, but she was more like an adult cat.
The boy stopped, raised his eyebrows then took off his cap. The tiny sweat drops on his reddish-white face instantly made the woman smile inwardly and she felt heat rise to her cheeks. It was as if she was daydreaming, she saw the raindrops pour in slow motion.
His hand moved to his ears then pulled out his earphones. "What are you saying again, Ms. Lucy?" he asked with a serious expression.
Lucy was flustered. "Ah-ah I mean, can you share your umbrella with me? I didn't bring one eh…" She bit her lips.
"Oh, I'm sorry but what to do? This umbrella is too small for the both of us, and I got sick last week so I don't want to be sick again!" he said, his fingers pointing at his umbrella.
Lucy felt she just got struck by a bolt of quick lightning because of this teenager. But as an adult, she tried her best to smile. "Oh, alright, you should go ahead then." She breathed heavily. "I will take my time and don't get sick again, huh..." she said, smiling like an idiot.
"That arrogant kid! That rude kid! How come many girls in the Training Center had a crush on him anyway? Fine, he's handsome but a jerk!" She couldn't stop herself from cursing the teenager over and over while feeling like a pitiful wet duckling!
