Jill waited for hours waiting for her beloved husband to return to the mansion.
Today is their third wedding anniversary which is nothing special to him.
She never gets tired of waiting for him on a day like this which he never acknowledged.
Sometimes,Jill wonders if Clark was never raised with love or affection.
He doesn't know what it means,He never portrayed it or showed it to Jill for the past three years of their marriage.
She still hoped that he would come back to his senses soon and realized how much she loved him and was willing to go the extra mile for him.
"The food is getting cold"The steward who helped Jill with the meal reported to her and she took a deep breath.
"Leave,I will..."She trailed off trying to hold back her tears and the woman tried to walk closer to her but she stopped her.
"I will sort it out myself"she completed her sentence and dismissed the woman immediately.
Her makeup was getting smeared already.
Jill decided to exercise little patience before going back to bed.
Luckily,She barely took her seat when she heard the blaring horns of his card entering the mansion.
She took a deep breath and ran towards the window to take a look.
He's the one.
She smiled softly and returned back to the couch.
She sat gracefully and waited for him to enter,After that seemed like eternity to him,He entered the main living room.
Jill almost jumped on him as she admired him over and over again.
He keeps getting handsome day by day,Jill couldn't help but be more proud of his achievements the past years of their marriage.
He's now at the peak of his career,He topped the highest successful entrepreneurs without difficulties and maintained his position over years.
"Welcome back"She greeted and he turned to her,He twitched his lips to acknowledge his greetings.
"I prepared dinner,Today is our third anniversary"She mumbled and Clark hissed in anger and walked closer to her.
"I've told you,Jill,Stop stressing yourself over insignificant things like this,Our marriage wasn't built with love,There's no reasons for us to celebrate every fucking anniversary!"He yelled at her and she only nodded.
"Fine...,I will never stress myself again,Just eat.."She said the last words in a softer tone and he took a deep breath before walking to the dinning.
Moira walked into the room and Jill's eyes almost popped out of its sockets.
She never expected her to be here,Not in a day like this.
Even if she's Clark Mistress,There should be some limits to it.
"Moira...What are you doing here?"She asked uneasily and she only glared at her.
"I invited her,"Clark announced and Jill took a deep breath before turning to him.
"Today is our anniversary,This should be us,Us only.."She yelled at the top of her voice and Clark sat on the last chair at the right hand in the dinning before turning to the two women and rolled his eyes in a rude manner.
"I never expected this. ''He pointed to the dishes on the table and some lighted candles which had almost melted completely.
"I thought this was a normal day and I invited her to the mansion. You have a problem with that?"He asked, referring to Jill and she shook her head,clutching her dress tightly.
"Jerk" She cursed under her breath and walked to the dinning to dish them the food.
Moira joined them also.
Jill served Clark's portion and dishes her own too before taking her seat.
"Why aren't you serving me my food?"Moira questioned angrily. Jill scoffed and dropped her cutleries before turning to her.
"You have your own hands,Moira"
"Why did you serve Clark then?"She blurted in jealousy and Clark turned to her.
She pressed her lips in embarrassment and bowed her head. Sometimes,she tends to cross her limits.
"He's my husband,And I can serve him his meal,You?,Do it yourself"
"Your husband?, Are you sure that is the right words to describe the 'situationship' you're in?"She countered back and Clark glared at her in anger.
"You don't talk rudely in my presence,And you don't have any right to define my relationship or marriage life"He warned in anger and Moira only pouted before eating her food.
Clark's phone started ringing,He sighed before picking it up and excused himself from the dinning.
After he left,the duo didn't say anything to each other.
Everyone ate in silence,Only the clanking of the ceramic plates could be heard at intervals.
Suddenly,Moira dropped her spoon and poured herself a full glass cup of water,she gulped it down at once and stared at Jill who was eating courteously.
Jill knew she was staring at her all along but she decided to ignore it.
"So,how has the past three years been for you?"She asked, groping her hand under her chin and Jill looking up at her.
"It's none of your business"she snapped at her and Moira burst into laughter for no reason.
Jill hates it when people ask her about how her marriage has been for the past three years.
Despite the fact that their sexual life has been good so far,Jill couldn't conceive,Clark forced her to take the yearly birth control.
He believed that Jill would pin him down with the baby when he gets tired of the marriage and demands for a divorce which was never Jill's plan.
The past three years have been worse and almost unbearable for him but because of the likes of Moira and her sister-in-law,She couldn't give up on him.
"Wait..,You're still planning to stay in this marriage and celebrate another year with him?"She asked in mockery,By this time,Jill stopped eating already and watched him blabber all along.
She wished Clark could see this other side of her,And how much she detests him for being his wife.
"Just like I said,My marriage should never be your business,Focus on getting your ruined life and bankrupt business back since you have the time for all this"
"You sly bitch!"She yelled in anger and was about to charge towards her when Clark returned and stopped her from hurting Jill.
"Know your place,Moira!"He yelled in anger and dragged Jill away from her.
Moira tried explaining herself but Clark wasn't ready to listen,He's mad already.
She pressed her lips together in disappointment and watched him end his call.
"I'm going back to the company,I have an emergency meeting"He announced referring to Jill in particular but made it audible enough for Moira to hear him and Jill nodded.
He picked his car keys and Jill bade him goodbye.
