Chapter 1

Prologue

"Ladies and Gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the Fasten seat belt sign. If you haven't already done so, please stow your carry-on luggage underneath the seat in front of you or an overhead bin. Please take your seat and fasten your seat belt. And, also make sure your seat back and folding trays are in their full upright position. If you have some questions about our flight, don't hesitate to ask us. Sit back and relax, enjoy the view." I announced it, before our take off.

I announced so many things, I'm still nervous even though I've been doing it for years. I'm not used to it, or I'll never get used to it. But being with Aeron here inside the plane my nervousness disappeared a little. I was with my friends all these years, they never left me.

"Nice one!" Captain Haber praises me.

"Great!" our purser commented.

"Thanks! I'll be back later!" I replied, before going back to my position.

While performing the safety demonstration in front of the passengers, while the plane we were on was moving, I was very nervous. A female flight attendant helped me. We're both in business class. I lost my nervousness when I got used to it a few minutes later, my chest lightened because of being with me.

I was pushing the trolley with me when a girl's voice from behind called me.

"Hi!" a familiar voice from behind.

I almost jumped at my stunt when I saw Riana there. We haven't seen each other in years, I knew he's with Carlisle these past few years. That guy has long patience for her. I admire him, he loves my best friend.

"Hi, Ma'am Riana!" I formally said. Other people were looking at us. As a flight attendant, I need to call her formally. And I know she knows why I am being formal in front of her.

"Oh my God, you're stunning, Blix! I missed you so much," he said emotionally.

"I missed you too, Ma'am." I smiled. She didn't question me, she knew it had to be like this at work. "Let's see each other later, I want to bond with you!" I whispered.

"As you wish, FA Blixiene Cawie Valenzuela." She grinned. She's so blooming though, her wavy hair smells so girly.

Why is she going through America?

"I'll try to bring Aeron with me. He's the pilot today, Carlo was not here. He's assigned to Los Angeles."

"Honey. So, let's see each other at the hotel later?"

"Yeah, see you." I want to hug her so bad right now.

I continued pushing the trolley through the cockpit. I missed everything. All these years, we're not together. I've been working here so hard, I went to college at SCU but we're not the same courses. Riana went to college at Batangas University where I live. I miss that place.

Nasugbu, Batangas... the province where I truly belong. I remembered my childhood life there before we went to manila.

"Here's your food, Captains." I smiled as I handed them the plates.

"Thanks, Miss Blix." Captain Haber.

"Thanks." Captain Andaya.

"Hmm, welcome, Captains." I smiled before turning my back against them. I went back to the galley to help some of my friends and co-flight attendants.

After a few minutes of dinner, the other cabin crews were at the rest station to sleep. I was ahead of them earlier because everything was fine outside. Some passengers were also asleep, the flight was peaceful. So I went to bed and rested.

Someone tapped my shoulder. I immediately opened my eyes and Doris appeared in front of me.

"Let's go." She gestured to me to come over. Working time again. I nodded at her, after a while I'm already serving a portion of food to the passengers and the pilots. It makes me happy while serving them, not boring. Especially the kids, they get excited whenever they see flight attendants in the aisle.

I saw myself in them, that's me when I was young, riding a plane, waiting for the flight attendants to serve me too. Now, I am the one who's serving them, and they're now waiting for me to come.

That's the reason why I'm always excited to work here. I never knew that every flight attendant has the same feeling as me, most of the girls. They giggled sometimes and pinched a child's cheek from happiness. I sometimes do that too, I just can't stop myself. They're too cute to refuse.

After so many hours, the purser called me again for the landing announcement, my last announcement for today's work.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, as we start our descent, please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position. Make sure your seatbelt is securely fastened and all carry-on luggage is stowed underneath the seat in front of you or the overhead bins, thank you." I smiled at myself, for saying that fluently for the last.

"Cabin crew, please take your seats for landing." Captain Haber announced. Every time we're at work, he's always serious! After that, he's like a child who's tantrumpsing, he hates himself for acting serious on the plane. But, his acting always made us safe and sound. He never let us fall in danger, we sometimes laugh when he's sharing his corny jokes with the crews. Our laugh always echoed in the whole rest-station.

We waited for the passengers to come out after landing before we checked the aisle, and all the compartments if ever some passengers left their valuables.

"What a nice flight." Aeron blew a breath when we got out. It's so cold, it's a good thing I brought a jacket.

"I saw Riana, earlier," I said.

"Oh really? Are you pregnant? Is your stomach big?" he asked a series of questions that I just laughed at.

I shook. "Not yet, she's got sexier now, Carlisle is a good caregiver ah?" I smirked, jauntily.

"Of course! That's my friend." He said, boasting.

"And, I said, we should bond later. We'll meet at the hotel where we'll stay, maybe she'll check in there first before going to their house."

I remember her story to me when we called, she said they have a house in America, and she bought a new house for her.

"Wow, nice. Okay, it's a pity Carlo isn't here, he was flown to LA." He scratched his nape.

"That's okay, you still have plenty of time." I tapped his shoulder before I went inside the van, our service through the hotel.

When we reached our destination, I was about to step on the ground when someone held my hand to help me, even though I can do it by myself.

"Sorry, I saw you're struggling with your heels." Captain Andaya said, still holding my hand.

"Uh, yeah. Thanks." I immediately pulled my hand and walked inside the hotel.

I saw Riana in the Lobby, sitting comfortably on the sofa. Talking to someone on the phone as I walked towards her, I knew Aeron was behind me and it was confirmed when I heard him call out for her name.

"Riana!" I knew it. He ran towards her, not minding the luggage he was holding. Our co-workers were laughing at his childish moves. He hugged her tight.

"Ouch!" Riana growled but still smiled. "I miss what?" he said sarcastically as he adjusted the rumpled dress.

"Yes, and I'll break up with Carlisle later."

Carlisle is possessive when it comes to Riana, when someone in the circle of our friends hugged her, he'll know it and will punch you harder than you thought.

"Huh! Why?" she doesn't know anything about it. I don't know why Carlisle doesn't confess his feelings to her. Is he shy, or still a boy?

"Nothing." Aeron innocently averted his eyes from him and just transferred it to someone else.

"It looks like you used to be real ah? Now you're a real pilot, you're cool, Captain!" Riana laughed and the crew laughed.

"You're destroying ah?" he pointed at her, tauntingly.

Riana grinned and turned her head for me. "Well, I'm telling the truth. Right, FA Blix?"

"Yeah," I chuckled.

Everybody laughed at Aeron, who's already pouting and crossing his arms on the sofa beside her.

"Oh, she might cry. Let's eat, the dinner's ready," Riana invited us before standing up.

"Are we dead?" and Captain Andaya.

"Yes, Captain! Let's go, it's my treat, don't worry."

"Just call me Rouvic." Captain Andaya said formally.

"Okay, Rouvic and friends." She smirked and chuckled accepting his hand.

We walked through the restaurant inside the hotel. We chose the big table for us.

"Here," Captain Andaya pulled the chair for me. I was shocked, he never did this to me. Just now, as well as him helping me get out of the van. What's wrong with him? Is he sick or something?

"T-thanks," I nodded and sat on that.

Riana's the one who ordered for us. A minute later, the food was served. That was fast, I didn't even think about that. It only lasted about a minute.

"Enjoy your food, Ma'am and Sir." The waitress spoke.

"Thank you." Riana nodded.

The waitress walked away.

I was about to put some rice on my plate, when I saw Captain Andaya doing it for me. Not only was I surprised, but all of us, except Riana who smiled at me.

"What else do you want?" he innocently looked at me.

"Uh. I-I can do it for me." I just answered.

"No, I can do it." He smiles.

I just sighed and let him do that for me.

"Done, you can eat." He said. I nodded again. While eating, I felt a warm hand on my lap. I swallowed and looked up at the owner, Captain Andaya was smiling creepily at me, he's fucking waiting for him to look at him!

I picked up the glass, but because of the tremor, I dropped it and broke it on the floor.

"Oh, God!" Riana gasps.

I immediately bent down to pick up the glass, but Captain got ahead of me again. Riana came to me and held my hand tightly.

"Hey, are you okay?" she asked.

I didn't respond. A few seconds passed, and my phone vibrated, it was in my pocket.

"I'll just answer this." I couldn't wait for his answer. I immediately ran to the bathroom to answer the call.

"Hello?" I made sure that's nobody's around me before I answered.

"Hi, baby. I called just to inform you that I'm gonna kill that motherfucking Andaya for touching you."

I knew this was going to happen. This man is possessive of me. He knows when someone is touching me, and Aeron said that.

"No one's allowed to touch my property. You're my property, mine only, Dexter Rue Herrera is the one and only owner of you, Blixiene Cawie Valenzuela."
