Chapter 1

“Stop crying for Pete’s sake,” I told Elizabeth. We’ve been here hours already and yet she wouldn’t stop crying. If I had known this would be the situation here, I would have not joined them here in this apartment.

I could have been just studying, enjoying every moment of my peaceful life but here I am, handing out a tissue to her.

Bianca shook her head at me, she’s also our friend who went here because Elizabeth called her.

“Just let her fucking cry, Bianca from the very start we told her, that guy is no good. Still she didn’t listen to us.” I uttered.

Elizabeth throwed her tissues at me and even had the guts to roll her eyes.

I crossed my legs and arched my eyebrows. It’s starting to irritate me big time, it’s beginning to hurt my ears big time.

“Is it my fault then?” Elizabeth said.

“We already told you that Blaze is no good yet you still insisted on dating him.” I said while she continued on shedding another batch of her tears. “Stop crying already, no one died.”

If I could just smash Elizabeth’s head on to the wall just to make her stop crying and make her fall asleep, I’ll gladly do it. I just couldn’t understand why on earth she was crying so much when their relationship didn’t even last long. They were together for a freaking week, just one week and yet, the way she cries is too much.

“I love him.” She reasoned while wiping her tears away.

I chuckled at her.

“I’m not buying that stupid word, you were together for a freaking week! A week, Elizabeth.” I yelled at her.

Bianca laughed at me.

“What?” I snapped at Bianca.

She shook head at me. “Nothing, I’m just wondering how on earth would you react if your boyfriend broke up with you using the same method? Will you cry?” Bianca asked.

“What the fuck are you talking about?” I asked her.

Bianca laughed even louder.

“I mean imagine you’ll be able to understand Elizabeth's feelings one day if you ever go through the same relationship. I hope someone hurts you big time,” She said to me.

I rolled my eyes at her.

I would never ever cry for someone’s attention, my tears are not for some asshole.

“I’ve been in a relationship before, but I would never cry because they are not worth it.” I said confidently.

Bianca’s smile turned into a grimace. “Well, why don’t you meet the great Blaze so that you would know why everyone is dying to be with him.” Bianca said.

“Are you trying something absurd here because we all know it’s not gonna work for me.” I stated.

She leaned on the sofa and looked me straight in the eyes. “Oh really, Carmela?”

My ears even hurt more upon hearing the things they were saying. Can anyone enlighten me why I became friends with these two?

I mimicked her tone. “Yes, Bianca.”

Like it was planned, she stood up. “It’s settled then, you’re meeting Blaze tonight.” She beamed her eyes at me and showed this virtual party invitation on her phone.

Knight’s Party

“It’s a black party, okay? For sure the great Blaze De Gomes is there, it’s his cousin’s party.” She said filling me in with the details.

I shook my head but ended up given in because Bianca and Elizabeth wouldn’t stop asking me to come with them.

We were now prepared for the party. Elizabeth was kind enough to lend me one of her dresses so that I won’t need to go home and change according to them. “You bitch might not return anymore.”

Parties start around 10 in the evening, it’s the earliest. Only the losers will go earlier than 10, one thing I hated going to parties it’s because of the social climber everywhere. They think guys in parties would go into a relationship but the truth is guys are after their pants. Those kinds of guys will have sex with them and dissapear like a bubble.

We went to a convenience store first because I had to buy in-can coffee to wake up the sleepy soul of mine. I’m not really the type of girl who likes hanging outside and staying up late because of parties.

“Ready?” Bianca said the moment the attendant ushered us in. She whispered in my ears what Blaza De Gomez is wearing.

After a while, she fucking bounced away.

I didn’t look for the guy named Blaze because I really don’t care.

“Tonic, please.” I said to the bartender.

I was just roaming my eyes around the bar and observing the party.

“Not interested.” I said everything a guy would come near me. I don’t have plans to flirt with anyone.

After a while, I went out to breathe some fresh air, the air inside was polluted with cigarette smoke and vape smoke. I was busy mesmerising the stars above when someone bumped into me.

I looked at him.

“Are you okay?” I asked worriedly because he’s having a hard time standing straight already but then this girl showed up out of nowhere.

“Blaze, why did you leave? I’m still talking to you.” She said,

My forehead creased when I heard the name she said ‘Blaze’. I looked at the guy who is now leaning against me.

This is Blaze De Gomez?

“Just go away, Sheena. I told you, I’m already with someone.” He replied while he’s head was still bowed down.

“Let’s be real here, Blaze. You’re not in a serious relationship yet after what happened to you.” She uttered.

Blaze shook his head and faced the girl, okay. Now I know why they were dying to date this guy, he’s like a walkin Greek god with those blue eyes.

“I’m not supposed to reveal it first but yeah.” He then drags me into his embrace. I ended up in his chest.

God, he’s perfume is so good.

“This is Carmela, we've been dating for almost a month now.” He said, making my eyes widened.

What the fuck is he talking about?

How the heck does he know my name?
