Introducción

The last thing Kira Samia expects at work is to fall into bed with her arrogant, irresistibly hot boss, Tesah Clover. It’s a mistake—a steamy, mind-blowingly satisfying mistake. But a night of burning skin to skin with the super wealthy boss proves to have turned her world inside out when Kira finds out what kind of dirty mud she had fallen into. Tesah has cultivated an enviable, manipulative lifestyle: dating his work, exotic destinations, and luxury without limits. He’s not looking to be domesticated, and certainly not by his second hand waitress—even though he can’t get her out of his mind. Still, he knows he has both the responsibility and say towards her and the pregnancy she claimed to be his. Though Kira has no interest in Tesah's money, her lack of prospects gives her little choice but to get loan from the bank to repair the only inheritance she got from her mum. But her actions of avoiding him, makes him want her even more, and if Kira lets down her guard, she just might break the wall her heart had built so strong in a long time.

Chapter 1

“Hurry up, Kira, and meet me back in my office before your shift is over. You will have to work extra time at the president's penthouse,” Geo commanded as he slightly pushed her aside and tugged off his tie with one hand and poured himself a brandy with the other.

Kira stared at her boss with a simmering resentment that she hid behind a mask of impassivity. She was exhausted. She had been doing extra time for the entire week and been taking orders from the rich socialites, whom her manager had termed as, "important guests!" She was already well acquinted with this term. Always working to the bone whenever the hotel announces about them. Even though she earned extra money, she still felt the need to take care of herself, her monthly salary was enough to cater for her needs.

After she was done serving one of the guests, all she wanted was a hot shower and a good night’s sleep since she knew that she had to face more of the same frenetic pace for about a month.

Sadly, that was not supposed to happen; the manager wasn’t done entertaining the rich fellas that she knew were just like other people, and that meant no leaving work until he said so.

“Yes, Mr.Geo,” she said demurely, keeping her voice low and emotionless. He didn’t acknowledge her response, picking up the glass of brand and taking a sip from it with the careless disposition attitude he gave whenever he happened to be in intense stress at any given moment. Recognizing the dismissal, Kira turned and headed for the locker room.

Kira rolled her head on her shoulders and listened to her neck creak with the movement. God, she felt like she could sleep for a week, whereas the manager barely worked like the others she looked winded compared to his haggard state. Perhaps that was the reason he was always a little infuriating towards her indefatigable body, especially since it earned him points directly. She sighed and allowed herself a moment of self-pity before rummaging through her locker for a change of clothing, and padding to the bathroom.

When Kira heard that she would be serving the penthouse suite of one of the most exclusive hotels in Medina with the boss of the continental hotel she has always prayed to work in, she had a moment of panic. Until she’d seen the suite. Her entire apartment back in Median town could fit into this place several times over. It had three huge bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a living room. Nothing but the best for a stoic boss who she'd only seen on posters and boards at the hotel. Until his house was furnished, he would stay in what was the best hotel in Medina.

She walked towards the elevator, pressing floor 64, before leaning on the glass walled elevator.

She was back to her duties, she was a waiter who only served the special guests that came by, probably her manager knew how important her looks were, not like she was bragging, that was the reason he always made sure she attended to the exclusive guests. Exactly twenty minutes later just as she was instructed. Dressed in a modest maroon slip dress in which she felt a lot more comfortable than the suits she was required to wear for this job. Her short bob was still damp from the shower, and she hadn’t bothered with makeup. She hoped that the president wouldn’t mind her lack of formality, because she wasn't planning on doing it, she was now looking for a way to get fired, she was already tired with always being on a beck and call.

She was disappointed to note that he’d removed his tie, unbuttoned the top two buttons of his white shirt, and folded back his shirtsleeves to reveal extremely masculine forearms. Her favorite kind—strong, lightly dusted with hair, with raised veins mapping a path to his capable-looking hands.

He looked up and grunted when she entered the room.

“Good, you arrived just in time. I have to go through today’s minutes and compile a list of the most pertinent facts. Then take care of hotel's correspondence. You get started on that; I have to make a few phone calls.”

He turned away from her and lifted his phone to his ear. Kira stared at his broad back for a moment before trudging over to the dining table with a muffled sigh. She wondered if he’d ordered room service yet or she was to do so; she was campaigning with time. She wanted everything to end as soon as possible, she only had two hours at most to attend to his needs. She glanced around the room as she walked to the telephone to make a call and gasped in outrage when she saw the room-service cart standing off to the side of the room, with the uncovered empty plates precariously stacked one on top of the other. Another quick look around the room told her that there was definitely no other food around and he wasn't waiting for any either. Had he actually called her to pick the dishes? Was the man wholly incapable of thinking of anybody but himself? She picked up the room telephone to order the staff to pick up the dishes, but he had finished his call and cast her a sharp look.

“Stop wasting time, Miss Kira,” he growled, tapping away at the screen of his phone. “We have a lot of work to do. I didn't call you to sit around looking pretty and doing nothing.”

The injustice of that statement left her fuming, and she bit back a sarcastic retort, knowing that she had no alternative but to swallow down the anger she felt toward him. Kira knew that—due to the last-minute call nature of her work—she’d been his only choice as a waiter. And since the manager had succeeded in testing her full potential in the hotel up until now, Mr Tesah trusted her to get anything done competently. Still, Kira hadn't jumped at this opportunity to join him, in fact she couldn't careless if her manager hadn't chosen her. The heady eagerness of leaving combined with the desire to prove herself incapable of doing the job to both Mr Tesah Clover and to herself had proved her stand. Yet now, feeling completely overwhelmed, all she wanted was to run back home with her tail between her legs.

All because her boss was doing his level best to be an ass.

Don’t answer back! Don’t answer back! She repeated the three words over and over to herself. No mouthing off at the boss, no matter how much he deserves it.
