Sunny day that Elmore city, the leaves bloom beautifully, the sun shines at its hottest, and the streets were filled with people moving to and flow to their destination,
2:34 pm
, I had just finished my classes from college and my school was few blocks away from home.
I strolled home alone, just to drag the front door open, and walked in on my sister's having a heated conversation, urgh! No day passes that they don't have a little argument with each other.
I had every right to intervene in the situation, but something held me back, I was the last child of my family! And in my family, the last born had no says at all.
Karina Willam, was my name and I know where I stand in the circle of my family.
I walked past them, heading to my room, and still, they both conversed in a high pitch, the reason why they fought I had no idea.
After a while, I didn't hear their voices anymore, I opened up my door and walked out to the living room, but this time our parents sat down with them sited by their side, Sophia Willam, the eldest daughter to the family, tall, dark-skinned and a replica of my mom, sat beside my dad, whereas the second child, Lisa Willam, who was also tall, a little fair-skinned sat next to mom.
"What's going on here? Why are you both fighting?"
I watched from my room, as they both uttered out the same time to explain, rather mom pulls Lisa back and ask her not to alter any words before her elder sister could.
So with that, Sophia explained to them the reason why they fought, and can you believe, the silly reason was because of my dad, both sisters fought for the love of my father, Lisa claimed dad loved Sophia more that's why he sent her to school, and she had to pass through school, by getting a scholarships, while Sophia declined the idea and to her, she tried to make Liza understand that our father had no favorite, thus even though he did, I was the last child, it would have been me.
What! Last borns are the babies of the house but if my sisters would fight like kids, I wonder if I was the mature one at home.
But in all Lisa was headstrong about the whole thing, after dad blatantly told on, he didn't have any favorites, she walks out of the living room in an agitated mood, as we all looked at her.
Urgh! There was no need to listen to such a childish matter, I stepped back to my room and locked myself till the next morning.
The following morning, I haven't even gotten up from bed, when a knock attained my attention, "what is it?" I forcefully pulled myself out of bed and saw Sophia at my door, wonder why she's here!.
