Do you believe in Destiny? Maybe in unexpected encounters? If so, we are different. Yes I love reading romance novels but I'm not a fan of couples in real life, my life is too chaotic to add. By the way, I'm Esmerald Fuentes, you can also call me "Esme" what does it sound like? Well they say it's like I'm a man when I act. I don't get frustrated when they suspect me to be a lesbian tsk!! I used it, but all my beliefs, words and actions have changed when our town was locked down and I met a man who would soften my iron -like heart and do you think that in an unexpected way I will really fall in love with an unexpected man as well. Destiny is really playful right? I didn't expect to experience unexpected love in the middle of a pandemic but cupid hit me. I was stopped in my dialogue by feeling a pain on my check.
"Aww! Why did you pitch me??" I growled angrily at my friend Eudora.
Then I stared at her as I shook my head.
"You look like a fool there, staring and then smiling to yourself, who are you thinking of?" she growled calmly and pointed at me.
I scratched my head so hard because it's itching. Maybe I have lice again, my brother has a lot of lice, maybe I got it from him.
"N-nothing" I replied and avoided looking at her.
I turned around as if the rotation of my world had stopped to see the handsome face of my beloved---just kidding, I saw our Mayor. His glowing eye shades are just like a morning coffee and his arm was obviously taken care of during the exercise because he was probably locked up there morning and night ----
"Aww!! What the---Eudora! It's hurt" I complained.
l held my cheek and stroked it to relieve the pain, her friend just slapped her brutally.
"It's you! I'm nervous about you, before you just smiled to yourself, now you're stunned, it's not just that you're still salivating, omo!! Esmerald Fuentes, you should get a check up!!." she said and shook her head.
Hearing those words made me blush, l also touched the side of my lip, it was wet.
"Oh self this is bad" l whispered to myself.
l blinked when someone tapped me on the shoulder, l just sighed at the thought that it's my naughty friend who was the one who did it but l stopped when my eyes met the man's face before it was just the flesh of my mind.
l grabbed my hair and put some strands of it on the side of my ear.
"H-hi, mayor what can I serve?" l asked while making a cute face.
When it was really in front of him, my movements and speech became different, so I always wanted to sing the song you change my life at that moment but l can't because it might scare him away.
While Eudora looked back and forth in disbelief at her and their Mayor, she was probably wondering why she was acting like that. Well, even she is, but they say, when the illness called love hits you, no matter how brave, cool and temperamental you are, you will soften when you are with someone you love.
"Are you free tomorrow?"
She blinked so hard she was stunned and stared at him for a long time. Is he asking me to go out with him? Omg! Is this really true? She smiled like a fool at that thought.
"Oh my gosh! No matter how busy I am, I'm always free when you ask my help, I'm willing to serve you and take care of you even you will take me at altar, I'll come----"
"I just want to remind you, we have an assembly meeting tomorrow at the same time and location. I'm looking forward to seeing you there. We will talk about how we will handle this new normal to help our citizens...so are you free tomorrow? If not, you better cancel the appointment you have and be present tomorrow," he said using a formal tone.
She was stunned, apart from the fact that it ruined her greatest dream, she also had a bit of a headache when he spoke English. Well, he is really good at speaking english. Their Mayor Rexcel finished his degree in the US and it's only been a few years in the Philippines, not that long right? But his nationality is really filipino.
"l thought he was going to invite me on a date, but no, it's a meeting, I expected too much how pathetic I am."
I undoubtedly smiled at him "Okay, Mayor, note that, expect me to be there."

THE NEXT DAY, her friend Eudora turned to look at her, as if she couldn't believe that she was going to wear a dress, well maybe she's used to seeing her wearing men's clothes just like T-shirts. Yes, she's always wearing pants and a plain T-shirt. Well, because her friend Kylie said that if she wants to be noticed by him as a lady and the love of his life, she should be feminine, she should show him that she is a woman who needs to be taken care of and be loved. She always believes in her friend so here she is, wearing a simple dress that is above the knee, it fits so well that her curves come out. She doesn't even know but she has a curve, her waist is thin, she has a big ass and her boobs are just the right size. She stared at her own reflection in the human size mirror they had, she swallowed.
"Is this really me?" she asked incredulously.
She held her chest down to her hips, only now she noticed how beautiful her curves were. She used to wear big t-shirts and pajamas or maybe men's shorts so now she just found out that she is so beautiful and sexy so she is amazed by what she sees now in front of the mirror.
"Of course it's you, why? Do you think it was me?" Eudora said using a sarcastic tone.
She frowned, no matter when and what Eudora is really KJ one but she couldn't break her mood so she just will ignore it.
"All right, that's enough, you are beautiful, really really beautiful it's time to go, go ahead now."
She nodded and quickly stepped out of her room. When she saw her companion in the house, they seemed to have seen the angel, they stared at her for a long time as if in amazement.
"Is that really you?? Esme?" her father exclaimed in shock.
Her mother approached her and smiled broadly.
"There's no doubt you're my child, we're alike, beautiful and sexy, I hope you're always like that child so that we don't have to worry about your father that you might grow up a virgin, our race is beautiful and shouldn't go to waste, isn't right dear" her mother praised her.
Her father agreed, she was just shaken and just passed them.
