Amara's Point of view
I was walking on the side of the road. Today is the biggest unlucky day of my life. My workplace is already closed, that's why I'm unemployed now.
After a prolonged walk on the side of the road, my legs are starting to feel numb. I still rested for a few minutes when I saw the bench beside me. I was massaging my legs to relieve the numbness of my legs. I realized that I was walking for two hours without any ride. I want to take a jeepney to take me home, but my money is not enough.
I needed to go home before the sun was setting. I check my cell phone, and the notification pops up on the upside.
I almost jumped for joy when I read her message on the screen.
A friend of mine was offering me a job, and the thing that made me smile even more. Suddenly the numbness of my legs disappeared from what I heard because of what happened. I immediately got up and started to walk again. I need to go home right away to ensure that my friend is serious about what she said.
After half an hour, I had already arrived. After I change clothes, I quickly go to my friend. As I expected, she is also waiting for me about the job that she said earlier.
"Amara! You are already here! I have a piece of good news for you! The nephew of my boss was searching for an applicant. And I know that you need a job; that's why I recommend your name to them," she said with excitement in her eyes. I glanced at her excitedly.
"Really? What should I submit to them?" I ask to her
"Anything you have to submit. What you need to do is to go to this address for your interview," Jamila said while she showed me a piece of paper. There has an address of a place.
A smile appeared on my lips before I spoke to her.
"Thank you, friend! I'm still lucky," I happily said while looking at the piece of paper.
"Oh, come on, Sis! You can do this, okay? Just fight for your future!" Jamila cheerfully said.
"Yeah, of course! Thank you again!" I said before I left her house.

I stopped in front of a high-rise building. I turned my eyes back to the small paper I was holding. A taxi took me here earlier. Couldn"t this be the wrong address Jamilla gave me?
I turned my gaze back to the high-rise building. My eyes can hardly see the top.

I turned my gaze back to the high-rise building. My eyes can hardly see the top.
I was amazed looking at the building. Back then, it was my only dream to work at Intellivision Company. Now I will be an employee here. It's funny to think that I'm not unlucky because I'm still lucky somehow.
I hadn't finished looking at the tall building when I collided with someone. Because of my embarrassment, I could not look at the guy in my front and just focused my eyes on the floor. I took a deep breath before looking at the person I had collided with. And I was shocked when I saw him. He was wearing formal clothe and was carrying a laptop bag in his hand.
"I'm so sorry," I apologized to him, but he remained serious as he looked at me. I wish I could say more when he left me stunned by him. I could no longer speak out of sheer embarrassment.
A few moments later, a woman approached me from inside.
"Miss?" she said while looking at me in astonishment.
"Good Morning, Ma'am. Is this Intellivision Company?" I asked her.
"Yes, is there a problem?" she asked again. I immediately smiled at the woman.
"Nothing, I'm just looking for Mr. Callen Walton," I told her.
"Sir Callen? What do you need from him? We don't just let anyone into his office without permission from him," the woman said.
"Miss, I'm the one who's Jamila sent here to be Mr. Walton's assistant," I told her again, something that made her surprise.
"Ah, it was Ma'am Sienna who sent you here, " she said to me. I haven't spoken yet because I don't know who she is talking about.
In a few moments, we went inside. The woman just talked to a man outside the elevator before entering the elevator. It's also too tight and strict here because you can't just go in as long as you don't need them.
After a few minutes, the door opened. We're out. I was amazed at the beauty and arrangements of their offices. It also looks spotless, and its floor is expensive with the tiles used.
I was surprised when we stopped in front of a door.
"Wait, you're just here first," she said before he knocked and went inside. I don't know who she is, and I don't know her position here.
After a minute, she came out as well.
"Go inside first. Sir isn't here yet; he's in a meeting, so wait for him," he said while smiling.
"Ah, all right, thank you," I told her.
"By the way, I'm Carmela," she said, smiling again. I smiled before speaking again.
"I'm Amara," smiling, I told her further.
"Nice to meet you, Amara." After that, we shook hands before I went inside. I nervously turned the doorknob and sat down on the sofa. It's so pristine and aesthetic the interior of his office.
I was shocked because I didn't expect to see him again. The man I bumped into earlier was none other than him! I can't believe he's here in front of me. He just looked at me thoughtfully as if he didn't know me. He went straight to his swivel chair, so I sputtered.
"Good Morning, Sir Callen--"
"Please, call me by my surname," he said, so I was a little embarrassed. I just nodded in no time. I had intended to apologize, but I have not made him speak again.
"So, tell me about yourself," he said while not looking at me. I took a deep breath before approaching him.
"I'm Amara Zephyr Silvidad. I'm twenty-six years old," I introduced him. He looked at me with something serious that made me nervous.
"Do you know what you entered here?" he asked as you felt his cold dealings.
"Yes, Sir," I said while looking at him as well.
"You can start by next week," he said, something that surprised me.
"Thank you, Sir!" I said while smiling. He immediately folded the folder he was holding before returning it to his drawer. He focused his gaze again on the computer in his front.
I took a deep breath while not removing the smile from my lips. It just feels good because I can finally work here at Intellivision. Even though he was still rude, God didn't abandon me, and he still gave me work.
