Today I can't help smiling because I am very happy. No it's not my birthday, but I finally got a well paying job as a maid. Sure it's not the best job in the world but I am in great need of the money.
My father passed away 2 years ago when I was just 16, since the it's been very hard for me and my mother. After father's dimmis my mother fell ill. She was no longer able to go to work, and the money left by father I used it to cover mother's medical expenses. Our relatives never really cared enough to help us during this time .l had to drop out of school at 17 as there was not enough money for me to attend school. As I dropped out I began to look for a job so I will be able to support myself and my mother.
I wasn't very successful in finding a well paying job till now.
Layla stop in front of a huge black gate. She is then led in by the guard. She looks at her left first then to her right. She takes a moment to soak it all in. The villa was quiet astonishing indeed.
A sqeal of excitement escapes her mouth. She looks around to make sure the guards didn't hear her.
She then proceeds to walk down the path that led to the front door of the villa.
Layla's POV
"As I walked through the villa's main entrance I couldn't help but think that the inside was far better than the outside,"said Layla. I noticed a warm looking old woman walking towards me.
"You must be the new maid ,"she said with a welcoming smile. "I am the headmaid, miss Zhang ,"she continued. I then proceed to introduce myself.
"Follow me ",Miss Zhang says.
I dragged my suitcase behind me as I followed Miss Zhang from a small distance.
We enter into a building behind the villa.
"This is were you will be staying and these are your roommates, "Miss Zhang says to me. I then proceed to introduce myself to my new roommates. They went on to introduce themselves. Zoe, Ashley and Mia look very sweet.
Miss Zhang left giving me some time to familiarize with my new roommates.
Zoe was cute but also a chatterbox, Ashley was a bit on the shy side and Mia was quirky. "They seemed to be quite an interesting group, "I say to myself. Seems like I was going to get along with them just fine.
I then ask one of the girls to escort me to get my maid's uniform as I'm still new and all. Zoe proceeds to help me get my uniform.
As we come back from getting the uniform with Zoe, I then stop in my tracks as I see Cece Jones approach us with a smirk on her face.
