Chapter 1

"Ah... No!"

It hurt so much as if her body had been torn apart forcefully. And her bones had been crushed.

The man on her body acted like an animal was constantly attacking her. Sweat ran down his wild bare chest. The light was dim. She struggled to open her eyes and wanted to see what was happening.

Who was it? Who are you?

......

The vibration of the mobile phone woke Arlette up from her dream.

She suddenly opened her eyes and awoke from the nightmare. She was full of horror, and her body was still trembling.

It had been two years, but she was still buried in the nightmare. She could not forget the experience of that night in the hotel. The pain was hidden in the deepest part of her heart.

The phone was still vibrating.

She rubbed her eyebrows, calmed down, and picked up the video call.

"Mama!"

A childish voice sounded at the other end. The three little heads leaned over and looked at her with their big eyes.

"Mama, are you sitting in a gray plane?"

"Mama missed you so much!"

"Mama, we're good!"

Looking at the children's well-behaved and innocent faces, Arlette couldn't help laughing and said softly, "Babies, you all are so good. Mama is about to board the plane. Be good and cooperate with Zola at home. Don't be naughty, understand?"

Zola Young was a nanny she hired overseas. She had been taking care of her children for the past two years.

That night, she fled, but she didn't expect she had pregnant. As a college student, she couldn't afford to raise a baby. She decided to have an abortion in the hospital. But, She then found out that they were triplets.

Arlette couldn't bear to abandon them. She dropped out of school to stay at home and recuperate.

Looking at the lovely faces of her two boys and one girl, she was glad to have made the right decision.

After talking to the children and giving some instructions to Zola, Arlette hung up the phone and boarded the plane. She felt a little nervous and scared when she was on the plane.

She couldn't remember how long she hadn't been back in this country. Two years or three years?

If not for the fact that her aunt had been inviting her to attend her wedding anniversary dinner, she would have hoped that she would never return to this country.

The city of Corsas gave her a very unpleasant experience, and it could even be called a nightmare of a lifetime.

She didn't want to overthink. Since she had accepted the invitation, she would take the opportunity to visit her aunt and uncle.

She would left once the banquet was over

Arlette breathed a sigh of relief and comforted herself. When the plane reached its destination, a car was waiting for her.

They drove to the venue of the banquet was held. Along the road, there was some familiar scenery. Soon they arrived at the destination.

Arlette was wearing a simple white dress and high heels. Her skin was fair and translucent. She looked charming under the light of the hotel.

When she walked into the banquet hall, it was lively and filled with people. Men and women in their pleasant gowns and suits, drinking and toasting with each other.

Her appearance attracted a lot of attention, and they were curious about her, which made her very uncomfortable.

"Arlette?"

Not far away, someone called her. Arlette looked over and saw a middle-aged man and woman standing there. The man was elegant and graceful. The woman was beautiful and had an extraordinary temperament.

She recognized them. They were her aunt and uncle, whom she had not seen for many years.

Her mother passed away early when she was a little girl, and her father ignored her. It was her aunt who took her home and took care of her

In her heart, her aunt was as kind as her mother.

Arlette stepped forward and said in a choked voice, "Aunt, uncle."

Her aunt's eyes were filled with tears. She stepped forward and gently hugged her shoulder. "Good girl, you're finally back." Her aunt, Margot said gladly.

"It's good that you're back. Your aunt misses you very much." Her uncle, Michael, said with a smile.

Arlette lowered her head and smiled shyly.

"Come on, let me take a good look at you." Her aunt let go of her and looked her up and down with some pride in her eyes. "My Arlette has grown up and become so beautiful. What a great beauty. Taking this opportunity, I want your uncle to choose an excellent young man for you."

"Ah?" Arlette was embarrassed and said, "Aunt, I'm only in my early 20s. Don't worry..."

Before they had time to chat, there was a noise at the entrance.

Soon, a group of bodyguards more than 185 meters tall rushed in. They were well-trained and took charge of the scene directly.

Every guest in the hall was surprised by this group of bodyguards, and a tall figure stepped in.

His figure was tall and straight, and his face was as handsome as a statue. His steps casually showed that he was lazy and undisciplined, but the aura around him seemed to spread out in all directions and instantly drew the attention of all.

For a moment, no one dared to make a sound.

Among the crowd, Arlette looked at the face hidden in the depths of her memory, and her heart suddenly trembled. He was more handsome than he used to be, and his face was almost the same as her sons'...

The memory began to flashback to that night two years ago...

It was a life-and-death struggle...

All the confusion and luck in her heart were shattered at this moment. He was the man of that night.

How... how could this be possible? It was impossible!

Why was it Denver? He was the stepson of her aunt!

"Denver?" Michael, who had come to his senses, asked in surprise, "When did you come back?"

The father and son had been separated for many years, and Denver had almost disappeared from Corsas. He did not expect that Denver would appear here at this time.

Denver strode in. His eagle-like cold eyes swept around the crowd and finally landed on  Arlette.

His sharp eyes were like a poisonous snake, target at Arlette's face. Arlette trembled all over and lowered her head with a pale face.

"What's wrong?" After a while, the man's playful voice sounded, which was inexplicably creepy. "Am I not welcome?"

Next to Michael Adams, Margot Wright's body trembled slightly, and her eyes were filled with fear and horror.

Michael laughed and said, "How could it be? Both Margot and I are glad that you can come back! It's a coincidence that Arlette came back too!"

With this, Michael gestured to Arlette. "This is Arlette, who stayed in our house in her junior school. Do you still remember her?"

As Denver stared at Arlette's face, his thin lips slightly raised. With his cold smile, he said, "It was very impressed."

Arlette's face was as white as a sheet, and her lips trembled. The moment she looked up at him, her heart suddenly stopped.

There was a cold and mysterious light in Denver's dark and deep eyes.

He was telling her...

You won't be able to escape.
