CHAPTER1
December is the best time of the year for me cool harmattan breeze makes it difficult to wake up during the morning hours with the cold well I think I love it.
The cold is much better than having very hot weather making you feel like the sun is getting closer to the earth. Lying down on my bed in a dark room trying to reflect a lot about my life and the choices I've made lately, well thinking about it being 19 does it count as being an adult in a Nigerian home, I don't think that counts lol I think 25 is fair to be called an adult here. But I can't help it, My name is Chidinma and I'm 19 years old I've always fancied being a model but my height 5ft isn't exactly going to make me a model. But I'm sure my glowing dark skin and my introverted personality is something that I like about myself except for the fact that my stomach is a little bit off, I guess thats because I eat late at night and I've refused to work out well you can say I'm lazy but not exactly lazy I just like to do things at my own time let's say I'm a bit stubborn. I don't like being manipulated.
Back then in high school, I wasn't always the friendly type that always made me lose a lot of friends. I was more reserved and loved to be alone well I can't help it is just who I am.. Moving into the university I felt I had to do better with letting people into my life I had to let my guard down a little bit thats how I found she didnt know anything about the school setting and was a fresher like me. We got talking and I found out her name is Tracy 19years, she's really beautiful, tall, fair skin, nice body, she's lovely too, extrovert I think we were meant to be good friends.
After waiting for 2years to gain admission I have finally got it and I'm so happy. I stay with my family and my mom she's very caring and strict but she allows me to stay on campus instead of going to school from the house and that is how I started my life a life of freedom.
I met an angel in the form of a friend Tracy she was looking a little bit lost when I walked up to her lol. That was the time I made a friend of my own, school started being fun for me I love her for being herself. My roommates are ok, they always love arguing and making noise I made friends amongst them too.
I know you guys are wondering if Tracy is the only friend that I have the answer is no. I have a best friend we got admission. At the same faculty different departments and we stay in the same hostel but separate wings though that wasnt the plan at first it's up to fate I believe anything is possible .and Zara she's sweet I mean so sweet I know you'll be wondering how I got to know her well Tracy brought her into our lives at first I wasnt so happy about it I was finding it difficult to vibe with Zara she gets angry easily but I have decided to love her for who she is with time everyone tries to change so I believe nobody is perfect.
Zara is the youngest, she's 18, average height, really fine dark skin, killer body, very beautiful, extrovert.
The first time I'm going out with a guy. Fred, I met him online he seems like a nice guy I am ready to meet him in person he likes me a lot so I went to visit him and it turns out he wants something else that is too much to give out so I feel irritated the way he is getting close to me, so I left his place end of his chapter in my life you won't blame me I'm just naïve it's my first time visiting a guy's place. I chat with friends on FB when I'm bored and that helps a lot since my friends stay a little far from me.
Lectures are always stressful gosh! Guess who just met troy Anika's brother he is so cute why is he staring at me like that I know you'll are wondering who Anika is, well she was my classmate in secondary school and close friends with my best friend Chelsea. I said hi to Troy and he said hi. we spoke for a while before I went back to my lecture hall .he added me up on Facebook I accepted his friend request I will chat him up later.
Hectic day man I just got to my hostel and I'm so exhausted I took my phone from my bag and decided to chat up Troy we talked for a while and he asked me to a movie date and I said yes I'm so bored in the hostel nothing is happening here so I just have to get my lazy ass out of this bed and look for something to put on. He came to pick me up as agreed I spent the night at his place he is a gentleman I already like him.
My roommates are so annoying they were all over me asking where I went to and why I'm so dressed like wtf you guys I'm an adult for heaven's sake they're starting to get on my nerves why can't they ever mind their business.
I've decided to visit Troy at his place missing lectures because of him today he invited me over, got there on time and we started talking, I'm laughing so hard right now this guy is funny and caring this vibe is made in heaven he when went to the kitchen to prepare lunch oshey romantic guy I've decided to tell my girls about Troy I left his house during the evening I did not want to leave but I have to I have rehearsals by 6 pm [theater art} time to see my girls missed them already.
