Introduction

Juliet and Angel Surinamet are completely opposite twins: one is wronged yet strong, the other beloved and radiant, surrounded by praise and attention since childhood. While Angel lives in the light of fame and affection, Juliet hides the pain and anger born from neglect and constant comparison. When the younger sister enters the world of middle school, a psychological conflict begins between shadow and light, between love and jealousy, between strength and weakness. Rumors, manipulation, and violent confrontations put the twins’ relationship to the test, revealing that true love is not mere praise or confessions, but endurance through pain and the courage to face oneself. This is a story of pain, jealousy, love, and revenge, where the “gray” heroine is the one who lives through suffering, while the “angel” learns life’s true lesson: that real strength comes from honesty with oneself and with others.

Chapter 1

Chapter One:

Everything began in the back courtyard of the school.

The place was unusually quiet no noise of students, no shouting only a light breeze and bright sunlight reflecting off the green grass. In a distant corner of the yard stood Juliat, her face flushed and her heart pounding rapidly.

Standing in front of her was Gin Marks.

The most famous boy in the school. Handsome, rich, and tall. The captain of the American football team, and the boy all the girls knew.

Juliat lifted her head slightly to look at him, then said in a hesitant voice: “Um… why did you call me here, Gene?”

Gene lazily ran a hand through his hair, then spoke in a casual tone as if it didn’t matter much to him: “Well… I think your name is Julie? Or Julia? Doesn’t matter. What matters is that I want you to help me.”

Juliat froze in place. “Help you… with what?”

Gene smiled faintly and said: “Getting closer to Angel. As you know, you’re the closest person to her, so please, help me.”

At that moment, all the color drained from Juliat’s face. Her eyes widened, and her features changed completely. She lowered her head slowly and murmured in a voice that was barely audible: “No… no… this is happening again.”

Gene took a step forward, frowning: “What? What did you say?”

She didn’t answer him. She suddenly turned around and said, trying to steady her voice: “I’m sorry… I can’t help.”

Then she hurried away.

Her tears began to fall uncontrollably, and her long hair flew behind her as she ran. She left Gene standing there, calling her name, but she didn’t turn back.

She ran without stopping until she reached the field. She finally stopped, took a deep breath, and pressed hard against her chest as if trying to calm her heart.

Suddenly, she heard laughter coming from the right.

She slowly turned around.

The group was gathered around Angel.

Everyone was smiling at her, praising her, talking to her excitedly. And Angel, as always, was smiling gently, as if she were an angel who had mistakenly descended into this place.

Juliat stared at them intensely, then focused her gaze on Angel’s face. She clenched her teeth tightly and muttered in a voice full of bitterness: “Damn you… I hate you… I hate you… I hate you.”

---

Who would believe that we are twins?

Everyone says it is the biggest lie humanity has ever known. But this is reality. Angel and I are sisters… twins, even.

Even the doctors did not believe it at first, but the truth remained the truth no matter how much they tried to deny it.

Angel was born with blond hair, clear blue eyes, and smooth white skin. She looked exactly like our father.

As for me… I was her complete opposite.

My hair is purple, my eyes are violet, and my skin is white with a touch of light freckles. I looked like my mother in every way.

Since our childhood, Angel received everything: praise, attention, love.

As for me, I was always the other girl.

The wild girl.

The evil girl.

When we played as children, confessions would pour onto Angel. Boys competed over her. I remember once, two boys fought over who would marry her in the future.

As for me… no one cared about me.

They always said to her: “Angel, you are a special girl, just like your father. He is a kind and handsome man.”

And about me they said: “I can’t believe she’s Angel’s twin. She doesn’t look like her at all.” “She looks like her mother… that witch who forced her father to marry her.”

I had many nicknames.

Cinderella’s sister.

The witch.

The ugly one.

The black goose.

I didn’t hate you, Angel.

And I didn’t love you either.

All I wanted was to receive the same attention you had. The same love.

But no… everything shattered.

Do you know how much I suffered because of you?

How many times I was insulted?

How many times I was humiliated?

And you… what were you doing?

You stood there, like a statue, with everyone else. Just watching.

Isn’t that right?

During that confrontation, she said to me in her usual innocent voice: “My sister, I’m sorry… I really don’t know what you’re talking about.”

I screamed in her face: “Shut up, you idiot! Pretending to be innocent as usual!”

And as expected… she burst into tears.

Everyone attacked me, saying I was a cruel sister.

That I was evil.

That I had no heart.

Yes… I am.

I smiled my usual smile, left everyone, and left you behind, as if I didn’t care.

But don’t worry, Angel.

I will get my revenge.

This is my story.

And I am its heroine this time.
