Chapter 1

The night was deep enough to swallow everything into darkness. Like a shroud, the sky blanketed the land, obscuring the shady transactions taking place in every corner of the city.

The yellow lights flickered in a regular residence, emitting an erotic atmosphere. On the messy bed lied a man and a woman.

Suddenly, with a click, the room lit up. Following the light, a woman arrived and looked at the people on the bed with disgust. A frown formed between her beautiful eyebrows.

Instead of giving them some privacy, she walked in gracefully and sat on an old wooden chair far away from the bed. She fanned her hand in front of her nose, legs crossed, to dispel the sickly smell in the room.

She possessed a good figure with a height of 5'5 feet, a perfect curve, plus a delicate face. She was the dream lover in countless men's minds.

She was dressed in the latest design of Chanel gown and a pair of limited edition YSL high heels. Above her chest hung a Cartier diamond necklace, and on her hand dangled an LV leather bag. Even the simple hairpin on her head was Alexander Wang.

The noble aura that flowed down from her body was obviously not something a simple prostitute could have. It was even nowhere near possible that she would live in such a disreputable neighbourhood. Sitting in the small room, she looked out of place.

Her slim hand with sharp crystal nails stopped waving and pointed impatiently at the door. "You, get out of here," she said with an emotionless voice.

The woman on the bed got off without hesitation, flaunting her naked body in front of the other two people. She put on her cheap and revealing clothes that earned her a scornful snort from the noble woman.

"But... I haven't had enough fun yet." The man on the bed blurted out, unsatisfied, as he watched the prostitute leave.

"That's enough!" The woman growled in disappointment. The anger she had been suppressing for a long time finally came out. The man lazily leaned against the bed, revealing his thug nature.

"It's been three hours. Are you a stud?!" The woman snarled at the man. She got to her feet and opened the previously closed window.

"Remember who gave you such a wonderful life." She turned around and fiercely glared at the man.

As if taking it for granted, the man twisted his mouth and said, "It's you, of course." He sneered, his lips curving in contempt, "Didn't I also help you handle a lot of problems? The woman and the money you sent here didn't end up in vain."

"Not in vain?" The woman's voice hardened. She looked at the man as if she was looking at a monster. "Haven't you heard about it? Finlay Nelson is going to get married! The woman you sent to him did nothing favorable to me. Instead, she even snatched the position that should belong to me. About that, how are you gonna explain it?"

Being agitated, the woman threw her delicate fair hands heavily beside her waist. Her exquisite purse at her elbow swayed with her rage.

"Is that so?" The man sat up straight.

"Of course, their wedding will be held very privately. It's said it will not involve any media, nor be grand. Look how good a woman you just chose! If it wasn't for a friend of mine at the wedding dress shop, never could I know it, even after their ceremony!"

After saying this, the woman paced back and forth in the small room. When she turned back, there was a firm and sinister expression on her face.

"Listen to me! I want this woman to D-I-S-A-P-P-E-A-R!" These words came out of her clenched teeth. Her whole body radiated a want to kill.

She pulled a stack of cash from her bag and tossed it in the man's face. "Remember, you don't know me, and I have never seen you before. This is a delicate situation that has to be handled cautiously. There mustn't be any traces of your presence, let alone evidence that you did it."

The man picked up the money happily and counted it in front of the woman. After finishing the counting, he revealed a satisfied smile. "You are straightforward and crisp. Don't worry, I have been in this area for a long time. My brothers have done this kind of things many times. They can definitely find a scapegoat. Neither of us would be found relevant to this matter. You can wait for my good news."

"But..." he switched his tone. The man slid off the bed naked and came to face the woman. His 5'2 feet height made him seem like a monkey in a circus in front of the woman. The difference between their statuses was clear at a glance.

The man rubbed his hands roughly and gazed directly at the woman's chest. It was clear what he wanted.

"Xander, listen up. I'm not like those prostitutes you can pick up anytime. Don't even think about touching me! Get lost!" The woman understood his intention and slapped the man on his villainous face before pointing her slender finger at his nose.

"Oh, of course I get it! You are reserving your body for Finlay." The man touched his pained cheek and retreated.

"It's good that you know!" The woman picked up her purse, walked coquettishly away and disappeared from the man's sight...

Sunshine Market was a place where people from mid- and low-class families would come to buy food every day. The food selection here was extensive, and the price was affordable. It was deeply liked by the tenants in the nearby residence.

The busiest time of day was usually in the morning. Queues of customers would form in front of each stall. Coming and going from this stall to the other, many housewives returned home with loads of goods by their side.

Despite the fact that now it was past the rush hour, in front of the fish stall on the first floor, there was still a large line of people which was made up of males, not housewives, however.

"Fish Beauty, give me a grass carp." A man stared at the stall owner's face and pointed at the fish pot.

"Fish Beauty?"

The stall owner was a young woman under twenty. There was always a tiny smile on her oval face had and her snow-white skin was not weathered by the long-termed hard labor. Like two shining stars in the dark night, a pair of glistening round eyes were embedded on her face. To be precise, they were the only two dazzling black jewels in the world.

Her beautiful long eyelashes fluttered lightly as they naturally curled up, which veiled her eyes when she smiled, leaving an implicit beauty.
