Chapter 1

Thelma

I sat up carefully on the bed as I stared at the dark-skinned handsome man sleeping beside me.

It was an unforgettable hot night between us, and I could still feel the throbbing sensation between my thighs from how hard he had pounded me the previous night.

How did it all start?

I had been ridiculed by my best friends, Sandra and Ella, for still being a virgin at 24 years old. I was pained by the realization that I looked stupid in front of them.

I rushed to the nearby club to gulp down any available liquor to drown my sorrows. Then a man approached me and said, "Hello, miss."

I stared back at him, too sad to listen to him.

He took the bottle from my hands and led me away.

"Who are you? Let me go!" I screamed, dressed in a slim-fitted, long red gown and black low-heeled shoes.

As the only daughter of my billionaire parents and the sole heir of BeeH Group, the people in the bar didn't dare to interfere; they were all absorbed in their own drinks.

"Calm down, miss. I don't mean any harm," the man said to me, and I paused, staring at his face.

He was dressed in a black suit and appeared older than me, probably in his 40s.

I had never fantasized about having an affair with an older man who could be my uncle's age mate. I immediately tried to pull my hands away from his grip.

"Calm down, miss. I don't mean any harm," he repeated as he led me to a corner in the bar.

"If you don't mean any harm, then let go of my hands," I said. He sighed and quickly spoke, "Look, miss, I need your help, and I think you're the best lady for the job."

"What job?" I asked, my sharp blue eyes fixed on his dark face.

I wondered if he was a boss or a servant. In City B, only billionaires could afford to live there, and I wondered what help this man needed from me.

With a dark complexion, he said, "Look, miss. I know you don't know me, but I saw you rush in here, and I could tell you're heartbroken."

"So, what do you need me for?" I asked him.

"I want you to accompany me to spend a night with my boss," he said after releasing my hand.

"What? Your... your what?" I asked in disbelief.

As the daughter of the richest man in City B, how could this man offer me such a task?

Feeling already heartbroken by my two best friends' insults, I heard him say, "I will pay you handsomely, miss. Please come with me first as I don't have much time to delay."

I wanted to protest.

First, I didn't know him.

Secondly, I hadn't gone out with a stranger before as I was always heavily guarded by my father's bodyguards.

My dad rarely allowed me out of his sight, and even in the bar I had rushed into, my dad's security men were outside on the ground floor waiting, where my friends and I had previously celebrated my birthday in a private hall before they laughed at me.

I thought it best to follow the elderly man; he seemed responsible and trustworthy from his appearance, and I wanted to lose my virginity quickly to avoid further ridicule from my friends.

My father wanted to arrange my marriage with a top billionaire's son, but he hadn't found the right match for me yet, meeting his requirements for the type of groom he wanted for me.

Silently, I followed the man, getting into the back seat of his car as he drove me away from the luxurious hotel. Two guards were seated behind us in silence as I sat in the front passenger seat with him.

We arrived at a magnificent building, and I wondered who owned the powerful mansion before me.

"Step down, miss," the middle-aged man said to me, and I remembered that I hadn't even asked him his name yet.

I gulped and stepped out, and he said, "Come with me."

I followed him into the magnificent building. The guards respectfully greeted the old man who had brought me there, bowing to me as well. I waved my hand in dismissal, and I saw surprise in Sir Adam's eyes at my action.

"Come with me, miss," Sir Adam said, and I followed him.

We walked upstairs to the second floor of the two-story building. He paused and said, "My boss is inside. Please wait here first, miss, while I attend to him."

I felt scared and curious to know who owned this magnificent building.

Was he my father's age mate or a young, handsome man like me?

I stood admiring the artwork on the walls portraying warriors of ancient times when Sir Adam returned, saying, "Come in, miss."

I entered the sitting room, feeling a chill as the air conditioning blew against my skin.

The room was painted in white, and every item seemed almost invisible in the all-white space.

"Look, miss. Just do whatever my boss wants, as we drugged him to have sex with you."

"What!" I exclaimed in shock.

"I'm not a prostitute," I said, in case that was what Sir Adam thought of me when he saw me rushing into the club.

"I know, miss. Just go in there. You will meet my boss. I promise to pay you handsomely as discussed, and I will safely take you back home afterward."

"Is this a joke? How much will you pay me?" I asked, curious about Sir Adam's offer, even though I wasn't broke and was a billionaire with a black card.

So how much could Sir Adam think he could pay me?

"1 million," he said, and I chuckled.

"I'm worth more than that, sir. I cannot go in there; I'm scared," I replied, afraid of meeting the man in the bedroom Sir Adam wanted me to visit.

"Please, miss," Sir Adam begged.

"Call me Thelma," I said, not wanting to mention my father's last name, as mentioning Sebastian would easily reveal my father's identity, considering my family was the richest in City B.

"Okay, Miss Thelma, but we cannot continue to delay. Just name your price, and I will speak to the master about it."

"The master? Who's that?"

"Who's there?" a deep, masculine voice asked from behind the room door, startling me. I froze as the voice resounded with power and coldness.

"Please go in, Miss Thelma. I will be waiting outside," Sir Adam quickly left the room, closing the door behind him, leaving me alone in the all-white room.
