Chapter 1 : Sweet Morning
Lilith's pov
The sparrows, it looks like they are ready for a hectic day. But their tweeting sounds relaxing though .
It's been ages since the last time Lilith got a break from her daily life. There are always weekends to enjoy but never a relaxing one as the teaching materials needed to be prepared. She really needed a good break. The school is closed for a week for some renovations.
Anyway, let's start the day. Lilith finished her morning business and got out of her room.Her sisters are still sleeping probably. The three of them each have eight years of gap.Which makes her love them more like a parent than an elder sister.
As she went downstairs, she saw her mom sitting on the two seater mauve sofa with her hot cup of coffee.
"Ah, that feels heaven", Lilith thinks as a comforting smile spreads on her lips.
"Lovely morning , mom" , she said to her mom as slumped on her mom's shoulder from the back of the sofa.
"Morning love, still sleepy?" , said Mrs.Ruby with a gentle smile on her face.
"Nope, I'm soooo refreshed" , Lilith said as she jumped away and skipped towards the kitchen for a good cup of coffee.
Swear if her colleagues saw how this she-devil is skipping around like a five year old. They would have started praying as if the end of the world is near.
No one has ever seen her smile even though she's just a young woman in her early twenties.
"Mom, what do you want for breakfast? I feel like cooking today"
"You know, you can just relax. You hardly get a break from all your school and cram jobs" her mother said with a guilty look.
Lilith shouldn't live a life like this. She should be enjoying her life and job doing things for herself. Not supporting their household and sisters education in replace of their sorry case of father.
Who knows where that man is away from home for the last 6 years of their lives. Not that it matters because he was never there for them. All that he ever did was add debt and burden.
"It's ok mom, I just feel like cooking today."
"I will have your special cheese toast," said Murphy with 8 year old Lily getting down from the stairs.
"How come both of you are up so early today?" said Lilith with a smile on her face.
"Sissy..! I want cheese", said Lily as she clung to her waist .
"And pancakes. Go brush your teeth.Your mouth stinks" she said.
"Mom, there's no egg and cheese. I'm going to the mart for some groceries "
"What a lovely morning", She thought as she went out, putting on a hoodie to the mart unaware of the situation soon to unfold in her life.
Micheal's pov
It's the weekend, not that it matters. I am Visiting a site this early morning. I am craving for a smoke. I reach in my pocket only to find my cigarette case empty.
I asked Liam, my PA and driver to stop the car when I noticed a mart. I put on a mask before I leave the car. I have a very sensitive nose. I feel extremely repulsive whenever someone with a strong smell passes by me.
I went inside the store to get a pack of Marlboro.
"Welco…...me"The shopkeeper looks at me all stoned with her weird welcome. I know I am wearing a mask but what can I say when I am this handsome with my red eyes.
I went inside the shop to also get a bottle of water when suddenly a sweet smell hit me. As if all the senses in my body rushes me to turn back.
It's a girl wearing a hoodie looking at the shelf with all her concentration as if she's finalizing a deal worth millions. She has dark black curly hair like her dark eyes. As she turns her face to the left it feels as if I am soon going to have a cardiac arrest. She has an expressionless face. But those two moles below her lips fit perfectly on her face. Those dark pink lips look inviting. I wonder how it will feel to suck them.
Suddenly, she looked at me as if she felt my gaze on her.
But as if all this heart squeeze was not enough her dark black eyes really killed me as it fell on me.
