"Lisa...aren't you still ready?"
"I'm coming!"
Lisa quickly closed the bag and hanged it at her back
She walked straight to the kitchen and picked up her lunch box and joined Antonia outside
It was already half past six, which meant they were gonna be late if they fail to walk very fast
"You're always late. Why?" Antonia frowned
"Sorry. I was looking for my art book" Lisa apologised softly
The two girls walked very fast
They didn't have a car to go and drop them as other students had
So their only way was to walk every day
"Hey Lisa..hop in let me drop you" a car stopped by them and a guy rolled down the glass window
"Thanks. I can walk" Lisa replied coldly and walked away
"Lisa...I think he likes you." Antonia teased
"I don't care" Lisa shrugged off her shoulders and continued walking
"Okay" Antonia frowned slightly and followed up
This guy has been chasing Lisa for some months now, but she always ignores him
Sometimes Antonia becomes annoyed because they could have easily gotten to the school if Lisa had agreed to let him give them a drive
But here she is giving her cold replies
Antonia stared at the car until it went out if sight
She really wished she was the one the guy had asked to hop into his car
She would have done it without a second thought
Lisa and Antonia were in the same classroom
So they walked in steadily and occupied their seats gently as the class had already started
"These two sisters...you're always late for class. So shameful" the lecturer scolded them
"It's not me Sir Alex. It's her, she forgot to take her art book" Antonia replied angrily
"Haha...." the entire class laughed at Lisa
Mr. Alex shooked his head slightly and continued with the lecture
Lisa turned her head slightly to look at Antonia angrily
This wasn't the first time she was being laughed at because of her
Today she would have finished up early
But she had so many house chores to do
She even ironed her uniform for her and prepared their lunch
And now...
Lisa planned in her mind not to spare Antonia this time
Because it was just becoming too much
And she isn't going to tolerate it anymore
After two lectures were over, it was break time
Lisa walked out first and waited for Antonia anxiously
Seeing this, Antonia already knew what was going to happen
So she walked out and held onto her ears "I'm so sorry Lisa. I promise it won't happen again"
Lisa was an easy going person. So when she saw the tears rolled up in Antonia's eyes, she automatically became softened
She held onto Antonia's hands and said " it's okay. Just make sure it doesn't happen again"
"I will"
"Hi..." just as the two sisters were still chatting, a muscular voice sounded behind Lisa
"Jack...how are you doing?" Lisa turned to face the guy and smiled
"I'm good. How about you and your sister?" Jack asked back
"We're fine. Antonia meet my friend.... oh..she's left" Lisa bit her lower lip slightly
She wanted to introduce Antonia to her friend, but she had already left
This was the second time
But Lisa still felt maybe Antonia had something very urgent to do
"Your sister always ran away when she sees me" Jack started up a conversation as they walked towards the coffee shop
"Don't mind her. She's just like that" Lisa smiled
"By the way, I want to...talk to you about something " Jack served Lisa and himself a cup of coffee both
"Alright"
"I..I think I'm in love" Jack smiled slyly
"You..you're in love?" Lisa's voice trembled slightly
For these past few years that they've been friends, she has always thought about this thing
They are very close to each other
And they do most of the class assignments together
They even meet up after school to do some studies before going home
Then why won't he fall in love with her?
Even she has been getting some feelings she had never thought she would get for him
She always feels happy when she's around him
And the two of them are always good together
So it doesn't surprise her that much
But she's still nervous.
Because she's wondering how she's gonna agree if Jack finally asks her to be his girlfriend
She'll be excited
So excited that, she might not be able to talk
'Oh my God..' Lisa smiled in her heart
"I'm not so sure but, I don't really know how you're going to take this?" Jack added up
"Yeah. Even I myself...I don't really know how I'm gonna take it" Lisa smiled
"I know you are a good person. So I..."
"Jack...just say it straightforward. I'm waiting" Lisa showed her white bright teeth
Jack stared at Lisa for a while and shooked his head slightly
He seemed to have gotten lost somewhere
After staring at Lisa for a while, he slowly grabbed her hands in his and said softly
"I think I'm in love with your sister, Antonia"
"What?" Lisa opened her mouth slightly and stared at Jack in disbelief
She's the one he has been walking around with for the past few years gone
Since when did he start liking Antonia instead
After being such a great friend to him, he has rather fallen in love with Antonia?
How?..
Lisa slowly withdrew her hands from Jack's hand and left the coffee shop without a word
"Lisa!...Lisa!..." Jack tried to ran after her
But she had already ran into her classroom
Jack stood dumbfounded
What did he do or say wrong?
