Chapter 1

I woke up today and it felt a little different than I always feel but in no time I will be used to the city and I won't feel like this anymore. Any way I have three interviews today so I have to make sure I am on time because these places are very far from each other. I took a bath and wore my red pantsuit I need to look professional and even though red is a bold color I need to look confident that I can do these any of these jobs I applied for. I got to the first job interview and I must say the old lady that was interviewing me was bitter as hell and she was mean as if the company didn't need to hire anyone. I mean I know we looking for jobs but they also need somebody to fill that position and even though they won't pick me they have to pick someone, "I don't think I want to work here" Martha said.

Martha is a slightly older woman who sat next to me and started talking before our interview, she said everyone she tried to talk to before me treated her like they were going to war or that she would steal their interview tricks, I laughed hard when she said that- I made an acquittance. "Yeah I understand wat you saying, imagen how rude everyone is here?" I asked her and she nodded "But that does mean you won't take it if they call you?" I sincerely asked and she thought about it and said "well I have another interview today then three more for the week so if none of those pan out I guess I am taking the job" That was pretty awesome how she said all of that.

"You wanna grab lunch as we wait for our second interviews, I mean even thou we not going to the same place?" That question came out of nowhere but she smiled politely and agreed. Ohh my god she is so beautiful and confident she didn't even need a red pantsuit to look that part. Martha was a petite woman and she wore her quarter heels with her brown leather pencil skirt and a white blouse, we went for lunch and I was surprised at how she was open that much about her life. She told me how her best friend and her husband betrayed her by sleeping together and she had a divorce then gained primary custody for her two boys and now she is just starting to be independent and I can relate except I can't share much about my self at least not yet and I hope someday I become as strong and sweet as her.

I got in a cab and fixed myself for the next interview and I hoped it would be very different from the last one. I stood there for about five minutes and looked at the tall building written McKenzie with bold letters and I felt so small that I was contemplating not going inside. the door automatically opened when one person came out and I slid in then I walked to the reception "Hey I am here for the interview" the lady smiled politely and gave me a visitors pass written interviewee number three and she told me to go the 77th floor as the building had 80 floors. I got there and there was a woman wearing feminine maroon suit with a black chinese collar shirt, she had a bob hair cut and she was 5'1. As soon as she saw me she smiled and said "hey I am Jessica, do you have an appointment?" I nodded my head and gave the card and the she smiled again "Ohh you just missed our boss he is the one who has to the interviews but I hope you can wait because he will be back to continue" I widened my eyes and Jess was like "I know, it's really not fair but he is a spoilt billionaire what can he do?" I chuckled that was really funny and took a seat.

After 30 minutes Jess brought me and the other candidates some doughnuts "Compliments from the company" she said as she served us two each I stared at the doughnuts and thought this is ridiculous, if he was going to be late then he should at least have the decency to re-schedule or cancel all together. I stood and walked to Jess "Look not to be rude but the doughnuts aren't helping at all plus looks like this boss is not worth working for if he doesn't have the decency to think about us" then I put them on her desk, immediately she smiled and I looked at her puzzled "Mark!" she yelled "Mark! come look she did it!" she started clapping her hands while the Mark guy came from the big door that we have been staring at for the past half an hour "Someone finally did it, I really thought we were gonna have to extend the date again" Mark and Jess were clapping hands and then they stopped "Congratulations Rosa, you have passed the interview" Jess said hugging me and she smiled, mind you I was still fazed and smiling awkwardly so I just stood there shocked like everyone else besides Jess and Mark who were totally happy about me getting this job or whatever the reason behind their celebration.

"Now you still have to answer a few questions but overall you passed and really the job is yours." jess was busy rubbing my back talk about boundries and professionalism meanwhile Mark was like "Okay everyone please take the remainder of your doughnuts and eat your feelings on you way out" he chased everyone out and only the three of us were in the room then they took me to the office Mark emerged from. The office was big and spacious, it had a library and there were many books on my right, the floor was made with marble, the entire room was silver and in the middle of the room there was a huge grey sofa and a coffee table beside it then I looked forward there was the glass obviously for the view of the city. The working desk was big and made of glass while the spinning chair was comfortable and black. On the desk sat a huge name tag written 'M McKenzie- CEO/Chairman' but the man himself was no where to be found.
