Introdução

Scene One: He punched the glass mirror behind her. The enchanting, fresh blood snaked down, forming a tiny path. He glared at the white pill he'd thrown on the ground, grinding his teeth in rage. "Su Wei, do you really not want to carry my child?" "I never planned to have a child!" She retorted defiantly, lifting her head to meet his gaze. Scene Two: Just returned from the hospital, she found out that a certain woman was already three weeks pregnant. "Wife, be careful. Why don't I carry you upstairs..." The certain man aggressively carried her in his arms. "Huo Jingmu, stop taking advantage of me, put me down now..." Her eyes wide open in anger, she vehemently protested, looking adorable in his eyes. "Hmm, I won't take advantage of you, I'll make you mine..." The demon-like man's lips lifted in a lascivious smirk.

Chapter 1

In the church, Su Wei stood quietly. At this moment, she was wearing a long, floor-sweeping white wedding dress adorned with dazzling rhinestones. She looked stunning. Yet, her face was expressionless. Underneath her finely arched eyebrows were a pair of large, bright eyes. Her eyelashes were long and she blinked often. She was immensely beautiful today.

However, in her own wedding, the most important person was missing: her husband.

Except for Su Wei and the priest, no one else was in the church. Huo Jingmu, her husband-to-be, did not attend, and not a single guest was invited. Indeed, why invite others to a wedding where the groom is not present?

After the scheduled wedding time had passed, a black limousine drove up to the church to pick up Su Wei.

"Madam, please," a well-mannered man in black said to her.

A laughable situation indeed - yesterday she was an unrecognized illegitimate daughter, today she has become the lady of the Huo family. But would she be happy? Su Wei wiped the tears off her face, her pale face revealing a smile from her past. She believed in her choices!

As the car entered the Huo mansion, domestic servants greeted Su Wei when she got out. "Madam, come with me. Your room is prepared," said a woman in her forties.

"Thank you." Su Wei responded with a smile.

The woman looked frightened, "No, no. Please call me Aunt Rong from now on."

"Okay, Aunt Rong." Su Wei nodded while saying this. Aunt Rong, noticing Su Wei's lack of pretension, felt Su Wei as a sweet, likable girl.

Su Wei was led to her room. The decorations were delightful and girly, but oddly, it wasn't the newlywed bedroom she was expecting – she and Huo Jingmu would have separate bedrooms.

"Madam, if you need anything, let me know. You should rest now if there's nothing else," Aunt Rong was leaving after speaking, but Su Wei held her back.

"You can just call me Su Wei. I'm not used to being addressed as Madam."

Now, to this, Aunt Rong immediately objected, "Absolutely not! The young master would be furious if he knew. There are rules in the Huo family!"

Huo family has its own rules! This sentence kept circling in Su Wei's heart. She didn't know how to survive peacefully in the Huo family. Perhaps she should not have stepped foot into it from the start!

After a long and hectic day, Su Wei was exhausted. She slumped into bed after she had taken off her wedding dress and had dinner.

In the middle of the night, she heard the sound of a door being opened. She was a light sleeper, and it was not until she heard a woman's voice that she finally realized – Huo Jingmu is back!
