Introdução

A bet made with the Devil thrusts Hyuga Aya deeper into the Netherworld’s deadly game with no other exit than death. But that's something she's more than familiar with, having escaped the Netherworld once before. However, if there’s something Aya wasn’t expecting, then it was to have a pre-fated meeting with Odagiri Ikuto, during her reconnaissance mission on the Revolutionary Army. Throw in her growing relationship with Haruse Seiren, Ikuto’s questionable affiliation, and Aya’s own not-so-pure motives - things get complicated really fast. Can Ikuto change the rules the Devil is playing by and save her soul before she loses the bet? Just how far are you willing to go to protect the one you love? It's a race against time, where even the tiniest error can cost you your life…

Chapter 1

: prologue

Father,

I’ve committed a crime.

A terrible sin

no one should ever know.

‘Cause someone ought to know.

Someone, who ain’t part of it.

Father, please,

let me tell you our stories.

No. No. No.

I’m here to tell our stories,

not to be forgiven.

‘Cause we’d take it

to our graves if not...

...Before doing the right thing.

Chapter 2: Reminiscent [Aya]

How does one start with narrating their story?

I wouldn’t know, since this would be my first time. But I suppose that I’d have to start from somewhere. Not from the start, not from the end but just right in the middle of it all. By leaving out the boring parts, and focusing on the events that are important. Nothing else matters, not really.

Why?

Because Time’s running out and I need someone to know our stories, someone who isn’t part of it. Someone, who could be an impartial judge and tell me if we were right or wrong. Someone, who’d carry out our legacies once we’re all gone. But that’s really up for you, listener, to decide what to do once I’ve finished with the story-telling. Whether you’ll end up burying this truth deep within you or you’ll find someone to continue what’s left unfinished is a decision you must make on your own.

Oh, before you start - I’m not here for forgiveness nor a God’s pardoning but for someone to simply listen.

And understand where we come from…

Now then, let us start…

…With the day I first witnessed Death…
