  Rosalie POV

I check my watch again, it's 3 am. Why does it have to be 3 AM every day? I look behind me again. There is no one. No one has noticed me sneaking out at this time of night and they bet that the security of our Hostels is fucking five rated. I laugh at their faces. No, this is not my idea of Friday night. I am not a teenager filled with out bursting hormones who need to party every day or weekend. I am someone who is cursed to be blessed. This is not the first time, and I guess it won't be.

I tiptoe my way to the streets and then as my feet hit the road, I start to run. As per my recent premonition, that's what I think they are, something bad is going to happen on 56th street. The street lights aren't working properly, so I have to walk slowly now. It is almost silent except for the sound of the vehicles passing by from somewhere near here. The air today seems eerie and the sky is covered with clouds and no moon or stars. I should have brought an umbrella. Now that I think about it, it would have been tough sneaking out then.

As I thought, it has started to rain lightly. It's too bad for me since I am still dressed in my school dress, a white blouse and a maroon knee-length skirt. I am wearing socks and shoes which I know would be tough to dry later. I feel another presence and check my watch again, it's 3: 15 AM, it's too soon, they shouldn't be here till 3:30. As I look around, I see a figure. I would have not noticed it if it was not the smell of the lit cigarette. The figure seems to be aware of me but doesn't make any move.

He looks like someone in his 30s, dressed in all black. Black tee, with a black leather jacket and black jeans. In other circumstances, I would have tried to approach him, but looking at the time and the purpose I am here, I ignore it.

I search for a place to be hidden and sit on my knees, pulling my skirt down. I notice the figure has sat straight now on the bike unlike before when he was laying calming on the bike as if sunbathing. I try to ignore him again, though I feel myself being pulled by the masculine smell and physiques screaming from him.

"I don't know if we should be here. It's too late and I feel…" I hear a girl speak, her voice shivering.

"Oh please for the last time, shut up. You are freaking out for no reason," the other girl says.

Oh if only they would ever use the feminine sense of power to predict when things seem wrong to good use, I wouldn't have to be here.

"No, please Scarlett, listen to me, I feel something is wrong. How could you trust anyone you met online?" the first girl asks.

"Don't act like a child! I have talked to him, and trust me he was totally into me. I just want to meet him once, then we will go" the second girl says.

I check my watch again. Okay, I have five minutes; Five minutes for the guy to be here. I spring to my feet and walk toward that girl. I know I can't tell them what is going to happen, they would not believe me, no one will. So I have to make something up.

Both of them are stunned for a second to see me and then they start to whisper to one other.

"Hey" I approach them but they ignore me.

Who would want to talk to a weirdo at this time of night?

"I just heard the news. There is going to be a storm today. I guess you should go home." I look at my watch again, it's almost 3: 25. Now I am panicking too.

"So, why the hell are you here?" The second one says, crossing her arms across her chest.

So she just is acting tough. She is scared too. If none of the two is strong enough, they shouldn't be here.

I sigh. I should get going soon. They would be here any second now but I can't leave them here.

I stand straight, chin up, and smile. " I live right here in that building and was just taking a stroll". Now that made them think a little. They believe me so they should get going now.

But I am too late, as I hear the sound of the car. My breathing has almost raced up as my legs start to move back on their own. I am in a confused state where I don't know if I should run and should stay with them trusting the feeling of more man force for what is about to come.

The second girl, Scarlet, is smiling, blushing and I feel sorry for her. I shake my head and my shoulder slump down.

"He is here, let's meet and go back soon." The words from the first girl die in her mouth as she sees a 40-year-old man coming out of the car. He looks rugged and tall. There is an evil grin on his face as he moves slowly toward the girls.

"You were so hard to get," he says moving his hand on the first girl's face while she is frozen on her spot. The second girl runs away leaving the poor girl alone. "Thanks to your friend, I got you" he pulls her toward him with such force that the girl almost screamed.

  "Fuck…" I whisper.

I can't leave her. The minute you think the world is full of trusting people you get this.

"Move away from her, she is too young," I say as I try to put a distance between the girl and the man. The girl from near seems like she must be 18.

  Not young, but naive.

"Oh, I must be lucky. I got two for the price of one." He grabs my wrist and holds it tight.

"Let her go, this isn't right" I beg now feeling the force of the hand holding my wrist. I try to dig my nails into his hand without success.

One loud slap gets me on the ground. I could hear ringing in my ears and the burn of his hand on my face. With tears in my eyes, I look up to find the guy above the girl, pulling off her skirt.

I get up immediately and start to punch his back. One more slap makes me bleed from my lips. I look back at the figure and let out a cry for help.

"Please help her." As soon as the words are out of my mouth, the guy gets off his bike. Throwing away his cigarette, he lights the lighter again but this time, he bends down and runs the lighter on an invisible line surrounding the men. I am mesmerized by his effortless walk like a leopard. And then everything happens in a blur of the moment.

I can't see anything as the line has started to raise flames of fire around the men. The guy pounces inside and within a few seconds, everything is over.

I rub my eyes a few more times. I don't know what happened.

As the flames start to die, I see him coming out with the girl. She is sobbing now. I moved close to them, trying to help the girl. Making her sit down for a second, I scan her face to make sure if she is okay.

I turn back and I am hit by a chest close to me. The smell of leather and cigarette immediately hits me and I almost grab the man having this dark and sensual smell. I look up and see his eyes staring in mine.

"You are a young maiden. You shouldn't be out at this time." His voice is deep and smoky, pulling me towards him. My eyes fall on the one thing I desire the most, his lips.

His eyes scan my body as if they are touching me everywhere. I bite my lower lip trying hard not to moan.

His face moves closer to my ear and I feel myself breathing slowly.

"Too young to think about it," he says with a smirk on his face. I blink again and again to know if it's true if this man standing in front of me is true when suddenly a cry behind me breaks the spell.

I look towards the girl sitting down and sobbing and quickly move towards her. As I turn to thank the stranger, he is gone.
