Axel stared at the tall building in front of him.
Workers with their neat suits and skirts passed along him and secretly stole glances at him.
A passer-by bumped into him.
"Ah—"
"Are you alright?"
He caught a woman who stumbled and almost fell in front of him.
"Y-yes," the woman stammered and blushed. "Thank you."
"No worries."
He began walking and a number of eyes followed him.
The woman, who bumped into him earlier, had a dreamy face.
"He's ripped! I wonder if he has a girlfriend," her co-worker exclaimed. They were on their way home and got to see an unfamiliar man wearing formal clothes.
Even though he had a suit on, he couldn't hide his body.
"The muscles are no joke!" another exclaimed.
Unknown to them, a woman was listening to their chatter in the corner. She turned to follow the man and finally catching up to him, she announced, "Mr. Davis, the President is waiting for you."
Axel silently fell behind Nicole Langley, the President's secretary.
Six months earlier, his sister was involved in an accident. Now, six months after the accident, he came to see Ada Garcia to borrow money to pay the expenses of his sister's medication. He knew there would be big consequences with his actions but he couldn't care enough. His only concern is for his sister to get healed and to do that, he needs money.
Axel patiently waited in the President's office. It was eight in the evening when the door finally opened and in came Ada Garia in her work suit.
Her skirt length was above her knees, boasting her long legs. Her collars are unkempt and it exposed her collarbones.
Ada Garcia is beautiful, Axel could not deny it. She has the charm and charisma that make her stand out. Her slender tall body and her sharp looks makes everybody want to look at her twice.
But behind her beauty is a devil hiding.
Axel stood up to greet Ada. Ada waved it off, sat on the chair in front of him and crossed her legs. She unbuttoned her blouse, revealing slightly her chest. Then, she looked up at the still standing Axel.
Slightly grinning, she said, "Please sit down, Mr. Davis."
Her secretary came in, pushing a cart. She placed teacups on the table and poured tea in it. Afterwards, she wordlessly left the room, leaving behind both man in woman in silence.
"So, what may be the reason you're here, Mr. Davis?" Ada asked, after sipping her tea.
Axel clenched his fists. He knows she knew why he is here. The first time he met her, his instinct told him that this woman is dangerous.
"Not talking? I'll take this as a finished matter."
Threatened, Axel struggled to say the words.
"The money..."
"Yes?"
"I came here to borrow money."
At Ada's silence, Axel desperately tried to find the right words to say.
"I won't be taking the compensation, instead—"
"How much do you want?"
Both parties sat still, facing each other, seemingly observing each other's thoughts. But on the other hand, it was Ada who had the upper hand.
She knew in the beginning that Axel's visit meant something else rather than accepting the compensation she was offering him months before. Who knew he had the guts to present himself to her and ask for money?
She was sure that the amount he wanted to borrow was nothing for her. A few million dollars wasted is not too much. But it was entirely a different story for him. So why did he not accept the compensation in the past?
Ada took a look at Axel and again sipped her tea. Of course, why did she forget? The man in front of her sticks in his own definition of justice and morals. She had seen it once and took interest in it.
"Five million dollars. I need it today."
Ada stared at the man before her. His firm and unwavering form impressed her but try as he might, he could not hide his desperation. Not in front of her.
She could see it, the darkness that was covering him; His anxiety he's tring to hide.
She grinned. Should she try shaking him up?
"That's a big sum."
Axel did not move even after hearing her answer. He just felt a tinge of anger welling inside him.
"Then, if it is such, I would not bother you anymore."
He concluded that Ada was rejecting his plea and gave up. He stood up to leave when...
"However, I can give you that much but..."
Instinctively, he already had a feeling that persuading her won't be easy. But there was nothing left to do but to cling on to her.
"What can you give me as a guarantee? At the end of this deal, I don't have much benefit at all."
Ada was not short in money. Five million dollars is only a small sum to her. Even if she gives it to Axel, it won't affect her.
But as she was a cunning woman who take advantage of every opportunity, she couldn't just give up on Axel.
She pulled out her phone pocket and turned on the video.
"Now that I listened to your request, you should listen to my request too."
She grinned, looking straight to Axel.
"Strip."
That one word made Axel surprised. Her one command shook him to the core. He was right. Behind her beauty was something sinister. He knew that look in her face. She wished to see him surrender to her. To be helplessly caught in her trap without any escape.
"We can talk about the medical bills after... and I know your sister is also in a very tight situation."
Unable to deny her words, he stood there silently.
Ada knew her provocation would work. It was fun to see him lose his composure.
Soon enough, one by one of his clothes dropped on the floor. The rustles of clothes accompanied with the tick tocks of the clock rang in her ear.
His upper body was now fully exposed and soon, he stripped off his trousers.
Ada smiled in triumph.
