His Last Resort

The bright day seemed to be enough my eyes could barely handle wishing itd go back to night time so I could sleep in. I picked myself off the softness of my bed and stared at the carpeted floor where my feet were setting "time to start yet another day." I said standing up; heading over to my closet where I grabbed my tank top and shorts. "Anna! Im heading to work message me if you need anything, your dad will be home around 4 so make sure he knows its another late shift at the hospital tonight!" My mother yelled heading off to work as usual never taking a break from her seemingly long hour hard work as a surgeon whiley father published books for a living. I walked to the bathroom staring at my reflection a girl with shoulder length brown hair and seemingly tired blue eyes. I stepped into the shower turning the water on hot letting the drops hit my body waking me up. After what seemed like 5 mins I stepped out and dried off getting dressed and heading back to my room where I pulled my hair into a ponytail then slipping on my mixed match socks one a dark baby blue and the other cop red. I headed downstairs grabbing my water bottle while checking my phone for any messages. Only one and it was from Mike 'hey where were you last night the party was a bore without you, you need to come to one before college starts back up' I put my earphones in and played my favorite song while slipping my tennis shoes on and going for a jog. 20 mins in and im already greeting regular faces I see everyday and already in town. Stepping into the small diner to see everybody already greeting me "hey kiddo hows your parents doing?" Mr rogers said with his bright green eyes showing he was having a seemingly good day so far. "They are great Mr. Rogers they both ahve very busy schedules like always but not me" I laughed sitting in a booth alone ordering my usual a orange juice scrolling through my phone only to find a post from the infamous CEO 'John Harris' talking about hiring on college students who want to learn basics in buisness. I out of 24 million other people have already applied to. Except me and 3 others have already been hired on but i was placed to work by his side probably cause I have a high attendance records in my school and the top of my class. After a few hours of finishing my run i head back to my house to see my dad home early along with a seemingly brand new Mercedes in the drive way also. I wonder who could be here.
