I was walking through the crowded streets of Vietnam. I was a bit tired and sleepy but I couldn't sleep because of my nightmares. I picked pocket one man's wallet, I took the money and dumped his wallet on the street. I walked a bit and came to a club, sadly for me it was the only place where I can spend the night and don't have to tell my identity. I entered and took care not to make noise of my boots, because I was still in my army tracts, boots, a black tank top and brown jacket. I was highly trained Commando so I walked across the club towards the drinks counter without making noise. I took a seat on the bar stool, "One Martinique, please." I ordered. The bar tender removed a glass and poured the drink for me. As I was drinking I looked around and saw some people are staring at me. I needed to get out of here. I finished my drink, pay the bartender and stood up to leave. As I was passing by the pool tables someone held a stick in front of my stomach to stop me.
I stood in my tracks and looked who held the stick. It was short dark haired man.
"Care to paly a game?" He asked.
"I don't play for free. " I said. He held the bunch of money up to his face and then slammed it on the table.
I couldn't miss it, I mean I needed money. So I grabbed the stick from his hand, "Lets go on with it. " I said.
I approached the table and saw one more man with him.
"Hey its not fair, you are two I am one." I said.
"Mind if I join you?" A man asked in his British accent from behind me. I turned around and saw a tall blonde haired man with piercing blue eyes standing with a pool stick.
"Sure thanks." I said. He extending his hand.
"James Conrad.".he introduced.
"Amber Vancamp. " I said and we shook hands.
"Shall we start." The black haired man said.
We played the game. After a while we were winning, James hit the last ball and it went straight in the hole.
"Yay we won." I said smiling. James turned to me amd gave me the high five. He went to take the money suddenly that black haired man grabbed his hand.
"You cheated. " he said.
"No we didn't. " James replied.
"Just like you said the one who will win will take the money. " I said from behind James. He pushed him back.
"Oh lets see can you win against them. " he said and we were surrounded by four men. I looked around ready to fight. Suddenly James stood in front of me.
"I'll get them." He said.
"Okay." I said and walked backwards.
One man came from behind and grabbed him, he swiftly hit him in the head and the man backed away clutching his head in pain. Then another man stood in front of him he put the stuck in his mouth and then punched him to knocl him out.
The remaining two men came for me. I sighed and one man walked towards I ran to him and grabbed the one who was in front by his shoulders and then with my both legs I kicked the other man behind him and send him flying on the table. I pulled myself back and dragged the first man in the floor hard and punched him on his face knocking him amd then stood up. I saw James knocked out the man who jumped on him amd he looked at me. I saw the black haired man was about to attack him from behind, I ran to James he lifted me up holding my upper arms and spun me around, I kicked the balck haired man on his face and knocked himout. I safely landed on my feet beside James.
"Well that was unexpected. " I said and looked at James.
"You're really light" he said
Then we hear a man say,
"Captain James Conrad, commander of air, commander of sky and Commando Aalia Rustom of Indian Army. "
I literally face palmed when I hear my real name. No use of hiding.
Later we were sitting on a poarch with the men named Houston and Randa opposite to us.
"You want me to lead your team to an uncharted island. Let me make a list of all ways you gonna die. Rain, heat, disease carrying flies. " James said.
"Hunger and animal attack. "I joined.
"Yes hunger and animal attack. "He repeated.
"I agree with Cap. But why do you need me I am of no use to you?" I asked leaning forward.
"You are highly skilled in hand to hand combat fighting, katanas, knifes, handling guns and medical treatment. We read your file and we want you to give us protection on our mission." Randa said.
"You read my file you say hut did you read that I am dead some 2 months ago and they didn't even found my body. " I said.
"Aalia—" Randa spoke but I cut him out.
"That's not my name any more its Amber." I said and stood up, turn around and leave.
"We will prove the Indian Government that you are not dead. " Houston said. I stood in my tracks.
"And both of you will get double if we completed the mission." He finished.
I turned around and said.
"When do we start?"
