Introdução

Lola Water’s story continues in The Daughter Of Nothing. Book two in the Eagles Wing MC series. (It is highly suggested to read book one, 'The Daughter of A Criminal' first). Lola Waters is on the run, tasked with the only mission that matters, protect her new-born Niece from her father’s brutal path of vengeance. Yet, despite her best efforts to keep them safe, the girls are captured all too soon, only it’s more than one familiar face who is responsible for her downfall, and the betrayal is more than she can endure. Separated from the club and her young niece, Lola must do whatever it takes to survive. Only this was not at all the Kidnapping she had anticipated, and as time ticks on, it quickly becomes apparent that nobody is coming to save them. If Lola is to get out of this one, she must do so alone. Or die trying.

Chapter 1

This is book two of the Eagles Wing MC series; Reading book one first, ‘The Daughter Of A Criminal’ is suggested.

Warning

This is a Dark MC Romance Novel, Dark being the most optimal word. More so than The Daughter Of A Criminal ever was, some content may be extremely triggering to some readers.

If you are seeking a sweet cosy romance novel with cute heart emojis, then I suggest you read no further. This book is heavy and will most certainly make you cry.

But with this in mind, this is still a work of fiction, and none of the characters or content is based on real events. That is not to say that this kind of scenario never happens because it does, and in no way glorifies or is supportive of these crimes.

Read at your own risk. You have been warned.

Unknown - You know who I am, but I will not give you my name. Not here. Not yet

Eight months ago…

Everything was dark and quiet in the Eagles Wing Clubhouse. The kind of quiet only came in the two hours before sunrise, when the men were passed out in their bunks, and the day had yet to start anew.

Everyone was asleep, that is, except me. It didn’t matter how much whiskey I shot, what pills I popped, or how many whores I fucked. I couldn’t sleep. Call me crazy, but I found it hard to sleep with the sins I’d committed that made the very darkness that surrounded me revolt and tremble with fear.

Only tonight was different. This time it wasn’t my insomnia keeping me awake, but her: Lola Lilly Waters, the long-lost Princess of the Eagles Wing. The same girl her father had claimed was dead to me four years ago, but dead girls didn’t just walk into Sinner in the middle of the night and steal a fifty-grand custom Rolex straight from my buddy’s wrist without him noticing. And only a daughter raised by the Eagles Wing would have the skill and precision to pull that off.

But unfortunately for her, Javier wasn’t just anybody. By targeting him, she had unwittingly revealed herself to me and the world Sam had tried so desperately to shield her from. The World, our Princess, still knew so little about.

Only I’d foolishly responded on impulse, and when my men had stormed her apartment on the other side of the city to capture her once and for all, I hadn’t been there. A mistake that had cost us everything, allowing Sam the opportunity to sweep in and save the day once more. Then he’d brought her home. Un-fucking believable. In the heart of the Eagles wing clubhouse, she was right under my nose, so close I could reach out and touch her if I dared. Yet Lola might as well be on the other side of the goddam universe for what good it did me.

By birthright, she belonged to me, not Sam, not the Eagles Wing. Me. A claim that had cost the lives of my club and my entire family in the war four years ago. A war we were still fucking recovering from that I couldn’t justify restarting just to claim her when we weren’t ready. So no, I didn’t need to sun to rise to tell me everything was fucked because of it, and Dean Waters was going to fucking answer for it.

It was this thought that had me rising out of bed in the darkest hours of the night, already fully clothed from the night before. Collecting my bits, it didn’t take long before I walked out the door into the darkness of the third-floor corridor. But I didn’t need something as mundane as light in order to see. My gaze cut through the shadows as if I was made from it. My boots glided over the floorboards without a whisper of sound, not even disturbing the dust in my wake.

Only as I reach the stairs I pause. My gaze instantly flickered to the last room at the end of the corridor, her room. I knew it well, although we barely knew each other. I’d spent a lot of time in her space when I’d first come here, analysing the possessions she’d left behind, trying to decipher her likes and dislikes and what kind of person she was. Obsessed was more like, but I had to know the girl the Waters brothers had loved so fiercely they had slaughtered hundred for the life of just one girl.

Suddenly my feet move on their own accord, drawn to her door, despite my better judgment. Pausing with my hand hovering over the knob as I tried to talk myself down. I hadn’t survived this long to give it all up now. Lola wasn’t worth my life, but now that I was here, I found it impossible to turn away. And worst of all, she’d left the door unlocked, almost as if she was inviting me inside, begging me to go to her, to cut her open like I so desperately wanted to. The door swings open with a creak, my heart pounding in my chest as I slowly creep toward the bed, a monster in the darkness. So eager to taste her blood to avenge my brothers and sister, I was partially salivating as I finally pulled back the covers. Only to be greeted by a cold empty bed.

No. I drop to the floor, my gaze sweeping under the bed. Before jumping up and checking the closet, the fucking bathroom, but she wasn’t there. Four years, four years, I’ve waited for this moment, to be close enough to feel her pulse flutter as I cut her open, only to find she wasn’t even here, to begin with.

Then it hit me. Of course, she wasn’t here. She’d be with him in the room across the hall. Samuel Waters didn’t just love his sister; he was in love with her. Only a man in love would choose her life over hundreds, and only a man in love would condemn his own father for a woman. And the realisation made fire ignite inside my veins.

My rage drove me forward to throw open the door across the hall, and surprisingly I was met with no resistance as if Sam had been too drunk last night to remember to flick the lock before climbing into bed. A mistake he would not make twice. This time when the door swung open on nearly silent hinges, it revealed the bed bathed in shadow and an empty couch beyond.

But at that moment, the moonlight finally busted through the clouds and shone in through the open window in such a way that I could see the two bodies curled up together beneath the sheets with perfect clarity. Cuddling with one another in a way that told me they were familiar with each other in a way that when beyond the realms of mere siblings.

Then, as if Lola could sense the predator in her midst, she startled in her sleep, turning toward the wall with a huff of air and causing Sam to roll with her before dragging her body back against his chest, like even in sleep; he couldn’t bear to be away from her. How cute. It made me crave to flay his skin from his bones everywhere his body was connected with what was mine.

Mine. Like I actually wanted to touch Lola myself to hold her as he did, but that was absurd. What had remained of my heart had been ripped out of me the day I saw what those monsters had done to my sister. No, I wanted Lola for one reason and one reason only. Revenge. I would make what they did to sweet Savana look like fucking child’s play and force Sam to watch as I defile his ‘sister’ over and over again until nothing remains of the woman he once loved. Yet, I had no desire to waste it all in just one night.

Unable to stand the sight of them for another second. I turned on my heels and left. My fingers fly over my phone's touchpad as I jog down the stairs and out the front door, already plotting my next move.

It had been four years since I had last seen Dean Waters, four years since he had lied to my face about his daughter’s whereabouts, unwittingly or otherwise. It made no fucking difference to me. He’d promised Lola to my father before she was born and had failed to deliver on that promise when my eldest brother had called it in four years ago. Dean had managed to escape with his life when they had not.

As far as I was concerned, as the last living son of the Chaos Riders, or Sons of Chaos as we were now called. Dean Waters owed me a debt, and tonight I was coming to claim it whether he was willing or not. But in my current mood, it was fair to assume there would be more screaming from him and his drinking companions than talking.
