Introdução

I'm playing a game for couple of months before I take my exam. It was cool but somehow stressing handling affairs of my server and trying to create a solution for that while not knowing that I'll cause a commotion myself without even thinking. Can I even escape from this?

Chapter 1

It comes to an end and this is my chance to choose between my mentor and the one that I like.

A month ago, the wind is blowing strongly outside my window and the temperature in my room is decreasing. It was quite cold this afternoon and a typhoon will hit my town soon.

I’m getting ready in case of black out. I bought lots of foods yesterday and batteries just in case. I log into my game and try to tell my alliance leader that I may not get online for a day or couple of days because of the calamity.

When I’m scrolling the world chat, I saw a player with an in game name, Jade. She was recruiting a new active member in her alliance. Her alliance is a newly built one and only at level one.

To be honest, it was not really her first alliance; instead she was the former leader of the third place alliance called Dark Age. She was a great player who is placed at the twelfth rank but unfortunately, there was an accident. She dropped her phone in the toilet, who knows maybe she kept playing even at the bathroom.

Now that her phone was broke, she created a new account since she can’t retrieve her old one because she forgot the password. Okay, I’m not stalking her. She told that things in the world chat at the first day of playing her new account. Seven days offline will lead to reinstated from your leadership. She’s a poor thing. She asked if she can join Dark Age again but they didn’t accept her. That's very disappointing, I guessed.

So where are we? Oh, yes. We’re at the recruiting phase or I can say she’s promoting her alliance. Then my ally, Lissy, chatted, she told her that why won’t she join our alliance since we’re at the first rank and she’s the only one in her newly built alliance.

“Sorry, I won’t leave my alliance because I want to start from the scratch again and try to improve my own.” She replied to my ally.

Then my ally chatted, “Why won’t you join us? Your alliance ranked at the bottom, who will join yours?” She replied. “Don’t be like Zack, who’s still alone at his alliance, Zytro. He waited for months. Even his alliance ranked higher than yours; still no one wants to join his.”

“I understand your concern but I want to build my own.” Jade answered. “I want to depend at my own.”

“Suit yourself.” LIssy said. “No one will ever join yours even you kept promoting it every day. You and Zack are loners. Other will invade your alliance and it will be at the bottom when the parade ground event comes. And who will believe those unbelievable reasons of yours. Who will be on the right mind to drop her phone in the toilet?”

“You don’t have to be rude, I’m an adult, you know.” She said. “You can ask Xu if you think I’m not saying the truth.”

“Xu? Is she the one who doesn’t get online for couple of days also the one who replaced you from being leader of the Dark Age but soon reinstated and being replaced by Neos?” she said and followed by two smirking emojis.

“I’m telling the truth that I dropped my phone.” She protested. “One of my family members passed away a week ago so I didn’t have a chance to create a new account right away. And it’s up to you if you believe it or not.”

“I’m just telling you to act wisely.” My ally said. “It will be your loss, not mine anyway.”

Okay, the argument is getting hotter; why not let me cool them down? I opened my banquet hall and created a banquet. Done and let me intervene between you two. I typed, “Handsome and beautiful, please attend the banquet of mine. I’m sure to appreciate it.” It was followed by three emoji with hearts in its eyes.

Then I waited for couple of minutes but no one replied. Done, the argument is finished in the world chat. I go to our alliance chat and told my leader that I will not be able to get online for a day or couple of days. She told me that she understand and let me log out for a while. Yeah, she’s an understanding leader but here’s the hunch, don’t even mess with her allies or she’ll be a tigress. But she let this Jade go since Lissy is in the wrong place this time.

Last time, our alliance vice leader, Suzy, kicked Lissy because of the tense ranging between them for getting the one emperor title. After Lissy being kicked out without the leader’s permission, Lissy kept chatting that why would Suzy kicked her out while the event still isn’t finished yet and it made the system cut off her alliance reward since she don’t have an alliance that time. She also said that Suzy is pathetic for using her leadership for handling their personal issues. Suzy doesn’t reply after Lissy kept spouting nonsense. And the leader isn’t online that time.

Suzy doesn’t get online the following day. And when the leader finally get online, she saw the words that Lissy chatted and the chaos in the alliance chat and our ally, Wolf, is trying to stopped them that time to not cause further commotion. Our leader is furious why someone would kick someone out without her permission and it’s even because of personal issues.

In the following days, we never heard anything about Suzy ever again. She doesn’t get online and the leader has no choice but to kick the inactive one. Lissy joined our alliance again and no ruckus happened again except now.

Well, as the second vice leader of our alliance, I have to do something. Then there’s a black out. What a bummer? Why would the electric company suddenly cut the electricity the time that I’m having a new idea? Before I forgot, my signal connection is pretty bad that’s why I used Wi-Fi. If there’s no electricity then there’s no Wi-Fi and because of that, I can’t log in.

I stood up and put down my phone. I turn on the radio and the flashlight and have my dinner. I washed up and get ready for bed. I’m a high school student and working as a cover editor as a part-time job. My life is tiring but it’s great. To be honest, I’m having a hard time studying for the college entrance exam next month and I’m not reviewing yet because I kept thinking negative like I can’t pass it. I don’t know what happened to make me like this, it’s like I have a mental breakdown after I failed for the first time in my exam last year. Sigh, I wish I can pass this.

Anyway, before I went to sleep let me introduce myself. I know last of you are eager to know me and I can’t help but to introduce myself. Well, where should I start? Oh, well let’s start. Iʼm Zhu Zhi Wei, who's living in the city. And in the game, they call me QL, the vice leader of our alliance, Capital. I ranked in the sixth place. I won the sky devourer and eternal gourmet title last season. Yeah, you can say I’m such a foodie so don’t ask why I won that event.

I’m known in my server for being noisy even at the cross server event, although no one talked to me unless it’s necessary. So you can say I’m a talkative person. My family isn’t rich, I have to be honest. This is not some sort of novel that some e-sport player is born with a silver spoon. I have to tell you honestly, because it’s not great if you keep bragging even you really not. As for my parents, they’re left at the country side and earning money by taking care of chickens and pigs to earn for my tuition fee. My small siblings are also there. They’re helping my parents.

The money they earn is not enough for my tuition fee but I always told them it’s enough so that they won’t send me too much money and there should be something that will left for their living expenses. So that’s why I’m doing part-time job and barely eat to pay for my living expenses like the fair for the bus, electricity, water, WI-FI, and the rent for the apartment but I eat too much when I’m back at my hometown because it’s free.

So yeah, it’s tiring like I told you. But I have no choice but to hold on. I still have to go to class tomorrow morning so I still have to sleep. It’s a long day ahead before I reached my dream to work at a big company and support my family.
