"Alpha, the luna is losing so much blood. We need to do a c-section asap or we won't be able to save the babies." The doctor tells the Alpha who can not take his eyes off his weeping mate.
"Do whatever you want but please save my mate." The alpha replies with a pleading tone.
Immediately the doctor leaves the room to prepare for the surgery while the alpha stays beside his beloved wife and tries to console her by whispering loving words.
"Andrew, promise me that if anything happens to me during the surgery you will be taking good care of our children." Lilian, the luna of Dawn Moon Pack pleads in a quivering tone.
"Nothing will happen to you, sweetheart. We will be taking care of our children together." Andrew, the strong alpha replies although today he is not sounding as strong as always.
"I have a feeling that I am not going to survive but don't you dare to blame our babies for that." Lilian says sternly but soon starts moaning in pain from the sudden contraction.
"Promise me my love, promise me." Tears stream down the all-mighty alpha's face but he can't ignore the wish of his mate. So, with a dreadful heart, he nods his head in response.
For the next two hours, Andrew Colbert doesn't move from his place outside the operation room. He has never felt this much scared in his life. Who could have thought that the perfect pregnancy would turn out this way at the time of the birth. But like he has promised his mate, he will take care of his children because they are the precious gifts from Moon Goddess. He will protect them with all his might.
Finally, the door of the operation room opens and comes out the doctor with two towel-wrapped babies in each hand. By the color of the towels, Andrew can easily tell that one baby is a boy and another one is a girl.
The doctor puts the babies in the alpha's arms who smiles feeling proud to see his offspring. But soon his smile falls when he notices the gloomy look on the doctor's face.
"What's wrong doctor? Why are you looking so sad?" Andrew asks worriedly.
"I am sorry to inform you but we couldn't save the luna." Andrew feels like someone has ripped off his heart from his chest.
"My Lili..." Andrew whispers before dropping on his knees with the babies in his arms.
Suddenly, there is an uproar of hysterical crying and screaming making the alpha startles. That's when he hears the urgent voice of his beta through the mind link.
"Alpha, you need to come out. The pack is under attack." John, the beta of the Dawn Moon Pack yells.
Andrew looks at his babies who are sleeping in his arms. He has promised to keep them safe but now he needs to
save everyone. He kisses them on their foreheads before handing them to the doctor who also has tears in his eyes.
"With immense belief, I am giving you my children so please keep them safe till I come back. If I don't come back in one hour then go out of here and reach the Red Crescent Pack. The alpha of that pack is my best friend and he will keep you all safe." By saying this the alpha walks out of the hospital leaving his newborn babies with the doctor.
