Introdução

"I have some favor to ask." "....What is this about?" "I've been thinking about it lately," he began. Inhaling sharply, Theo averted his gaze and stared towards the distance, contemplating and looking awkward. Dawn slowly felt her patience slipping away. "About what?" she probed back. Theo exhaled, uttering softly, "It's about Serena honestly..." The moment those words and that particular name escaped from his lips uttered, Dawn felt her soul leaving away from her body for a few seconds. She stopped breathing... momentarily. Her eyes subtlety turned empty as she stared blankly at Theo, trying not to change the void expression on her face as she forced herself to speak back. Her heart went heavy. "You like Serena, huh?" "Yeah." And that's when Dawn felt it. That hard blow on the chest, almost making her cry in an instant but she did all her best not to break apart with him staring at her. This was painful, and she could feel her jaw aching as she tried to swallow the tears and make sure no emotions would ever leak out of her face. She didn't even expect she could be this strong and brave. How sad... Seeing the very boy she was so in love with. Too bad. Why did he have to fall for somebody else?

Chapter 1

"Dear Future Self,

By the time you get to read this, I hope you still like..."

Youth. Chances. Identity. Choices. When we're young, we often take things for granted. We tend to foolishly overlook the simple things that only once we finally grow older and become mature, we'd realize they are all actually very important. We have many regrets. We have many mistakes. But it is with those mistakes that we learn things independently. However, if you're young and you fell in love, it's a different thing. It's much more complicated than you think it is. 'Cause falling in love with someone when you're young... will never be predictable. And most of the time, it can also be very painful.

"We were seventeen..."

THEO ERICKSON used to hate the idea of love. But as he grows up, he realizes that feelings are always going to exist within him and it will grow much bigger, the harder he tries to push them away. And when he finally finds himself struck by the bolt of jealousy and immature love, he soon learns that loving someone can never really be controlled nor predicted no matter how much he wants to make it work for the better...

SERENA GREEN has always been insecure. She can't get over the pain. She wants to be loved in return but she knows that the kind of love she always desires will never be granted anymore. Trying her best to heal herself from her pain, she goes on substituting this unsatisfied feeling by letting someone else fill it for her. Even when that person isn't the one that she loves, and she knows she could hurt their feelings and their trust, she still goes on trying to selfishly blind herself by the thought of being loved by someone else...
