Kylie was just going threw some pictures of guys on an app when she heard her father coming in. She knew he was angry with her for last night. She looked at the current picture showing on her phone: Caleb 20 years old. Oh what ever she thought to herself. He was smiling on the picture. It couldn‘t be worse then facing her father at this minute. She pressed the Message button „hi let‘s meet“ at the same time she grabbed her coat from the chair and ran downstairs past her father who was just headed to her. „Sorry dad got to go“. She squished past him and put her shoes on quickly whilst heading towards the door. Her father was just about to shout after her as he heard the door at the entrance shut.
Walking towards her bike she checked her phone. „Sure let‘s meet at the bridge in the city centre.“ Well that worked for Kylie as long as she could pass the time outside until her father would go to bed. She put her headphones in and shut the world out as she was riding her bike towards the centre.
At the bridge she locked up her bike and looked around. She could not see the guy from the pictures. She checked her phone but suddenly noticed someone walking towards her. The big smile from the picture was on his face as he came closer. She couldn‘t help herself but smile back. „Hi I‘m Kylie“ she said in a shy voice. „Nice to meet you, you can call me Caleb.“ They walked down the stairs and sat on a bench just next to the river. First it was awkwardly silent. Then he started some small talk and asked her „Are you still in school or already working?“ „I am just finishing my last year of school, what about you?“ He was silent for a moment and after thinking about it he said „I have my own business.“
„What sort of company is it? Maybe I know it?“ He did not look rich or anything like the guys at her private school. „I might show you one day when I get to know you a bit better.“
Kylie did not think about it much longer. He asked her some questions about her school. Then it was silent again. The sky was turning orange as the sun slowly went down on the other side of the river. It was still a bit warm as it was just the end of the summer going towards autumn. Lost in her thoughts Kylie has not noticed that Caleb had got out a little box from his coat. Suddenly she looked up as she could smell weed all over. It was not unusual, a lot of young people smoked next to the river. She looked around to see if she could trace where the smell came from until she realized that Caleb who was sat next to her started to roll a joint. „You don‘t mind do you?“ He again had this big smile on his face. She shook her head. Kylie had tried it before but she tried to stay out of trouble so she tried her best to keep away from things like this. He was done. He got out a lighter and light the joint. The smell got more intense. He leaned back relaxed and turned his head to her. „Do you want some?“ He was looking at her, holding it towards her. Kylies body tensed. What should she do?
