Chapter 1 "the first day"
RINGGG!! Oh God I'm late! I rushed to take a shower,Brush my teeth,Fix my hair and change my clothes.It was only a matter of time until the bell rings for the first period.I had 15 minutes.I swiftly stuffed bread in my mouth and left. As soon as I reached I was exhausted.But nothing was better than seeing my best friend after such a long break.Malia! Where the heck were you?!? Sage yelled.When I finally catched myself I explained my whole morning to her.Girl did you hear about the new guy who came today,All the girls are falling head to toes for him.No I didn't,Who is he anyway. I honestly don't know but he's hella hot Sage replied.The bell finally rang for our first period.Hello class I am Ms Heartwell I'm your new homeroom and Math teacher. Today we have a new student everyone please welcome Jason.Is that him?!? I whispered to Sage.Yeah that is him he's cute right? Yeah I guess I replied.Jason is there anything you would like to say about yourself Ms Heartwell asked.No I'm good thanks Jason replied.He seems shy to me I whispered to Sage.Ok class let's begin, Today we're gonna do Fractions.The whole class Jason was staring at me it was a little bit weird but I accepted it.Malia he's been staring at you the whole class,I think he likes you,sage whispered. I know but I don't think he does, I replied.He finally stopped staring and opened his text book.
Alright does anyone want to answer number one Ms Heartwell asked.Everyone stayed silent.No one?!? Well Malia why won't you give it a try Ms Heartwell said.
Um...okay,I replied.You got this girl! Sage whispered.I picked up the marker to start answering.I knew I couldn't mess up. I had everyone's attention, even Jason's.I knew this was my moment and I couldn't mess it up.I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and opened my eyes to begin.

Excellent job Malia.Everyone clapped but Jason didn't,Which I was a bit confused about but I let that slide.shortly after a few more questions the bell for recess rang.I packed up my bag to go.Malia I'm going to be right back,Sage said.Alright I replied.I waited for Sage for a few minutes but she didn't come back as yet,So I decided to go and grab a quick snack. I didn't have that big of a meal this morning either.While I was walking in the hallway I opened my phone.Suddenly I crashed into a big muscular body.Hey watch where you're going! Jason said in an upsetting tone.
Sor-sorry I said as I rapidly picked up my books.Here let me help Jason said clamly.Uh thanks I replied as I picked up my phone.NO No no no MY PHONE! I yelled.Next thing I knew my phone screen was cracked.Calm down your not gonna die Jason said.I looked at him furiously.
Fine I'll buy it back he said.Who said you weren't gonna buy it back?!? I shot back at him as he walked away.I let out a big sigh trying to turn my phone back on.Sage finally came running down the hall.Girl I saw you and Jason was talking.what did he say?Do you like him?Are you guys friends?!? Sage stops with the questions.That jerk broke my phone screen,I replied.Oh he's fixing it right?Sage asked I don't know, I'll see if my mom can.The bell rang for the second period and I still didn't get anything to eat.It was time for Science and of course Jason had to be there.Hello everyone Im Ms brown your science teacher.I hope everyone is welcoming Jason Ms brown said as I roll my eyes.To today I'm going to be picking your science partner for the rest of the year.And a project will be coming up, Ms Brown said as I crossed my fingers to not be paired with Jason.Ok let's start.

Ughhh!! It's like I jinx everything.I walked to my seat and slouched next to Jason. My stomach grumbled from how hungry I was. I Heard a rapper open.It was the sent fresh pop tarts.I didn't want to look,I'll just get more hungry.Jason tapped me on the shoulder,Want some? Sure I replied.So you still mad about your phone? he asked.No it's cool I replied.I thought it would be better if I just forgive him.So I let everything go.We were learning about the volcano and class was going pretty good until we heard a scream in the hallway.We noticed it was Claire coming from the bathroom FIRE!! FIREEE!!! She screamed.Everyone grabbed their bags and ran.Ms brown tried to keep everyone calm but they all ran out the building.Me and Jason helped Ms brown with her bags and we ran after the crowd.Ms Brown slipped on the ground and sprained her ankle.I told Jason to grab the bags and go we'll meet him there.I pulled Ms. Brown to safety with the rest of the school.Wait where's Sage?!? my heart dropped to my stomach whilst skipping a beat.I have to go back! I ran and screamed my heart out to find sage I knew I couldn't live a day without my best friend.Finally I saw Sage. SAGE!! I shouted we need to leave now!! And suddenly I looked up and the burning roof collapsed landing directly on me and Sage.At that moment everything faded to black.
