Inside the Hospital Room
Christine POV
I am in the hospital thinking how my life ends in the hospital bed holding a divorce papers
I looked out my window and I saw that the weather is dark. I think there is a probability that it will rain today, I saw that there are some parents who have a worried expression on their face looking for their kids, and there are some children who are walking with their parents while holding their hands. What a happy family they are
There are some children who are picking some roses . I also saw a family who was riding a bike. Their clothes are simple, but the mother is holding a teddy bear and looking for her child. When the child saw her parents she ran towards them and hugged them. What a sweet scenario.

Past
I am Christine, just a simple kid who has a simple life and an only child of Candice and Robert. Candice and Robert are my very supportive parents who will sacrifice their lives in order to give me a good life. My father Robert is a Real Estate Agent and my mother is a housewife, I have a very simple and yet happy family.
But everything changed since the day that I met him when we were seven years old
His mother's name is Michelle. His mom and my mom have been friends since childhood. I have known aunty Michelle since the day I was born. She kept playing with me whenever she visited our house and kept telling me about her only son Daryl. I know almost everything about Daryl since his mom always talks about him to me.
Auty Michelle always visits every Saturday to play with me since her son Daryl and her husband alway play outside to play some sports. I never met Daryl I just assume he is a sweet and loving boy just like how his mother describe him to me
One morning when the birds keeps on chirping outside my window I woke up with a smile on my face because it is Saturday, aunty Michelle will come to our house and play with me while my mother is cleaning and doing the house chores, after my playtime with aunt michelle she will always go to my mom in the kitchen for gossip.
But everything changed the moment I went down and waited for aunty Michelle. I waited and waited and waited. My mom gave me a breakfast to eat and told me that aunt Michelle will be late. The moment I finished my breakfast I went to our sofa and opened our TV to watch some cartoons, then after a couple of hours the doorbell rang and I ran to the door to open it.
Daryl's memories of the past
My mother and I went inside the house and sat on the sofa, her mother gave us a juice and of course while drinking my juice my mother and her friend continued to gossip, god ladies doesn't know how to stop their mouth, now where's that brat. I am pertaining to Christine, I want to make her cry. I saw the brat in the stairs staring at me. Seriously why on earth she's staring at me is it the first time that she saw a boy. I stand up from my sit and went to her and I said " why do you keep staring at me, what on earth is wrong with you" well she look shocked at my question and she smiled at me and said " sorry it's just I heard a lot about you from your mom" and I said "well I just hope what you heard are the good stuff"
she smiled again and said " it is, do you wanna go upstairs to play with me" I just stare at her for 5 sec and said "sure why not"
We went upstairs and when she opened the door all I saw was a big dollhouse, some stuffed animals and plastic utensils. Wow, this girl has a lot of toys. She asked me what toys I wanted to play with, I just looked at her like she's crazy. I said to her " can't you see that I am a boy, what on earth are you thinking, you think I will play with you with that kind of stuff?"
She looked a little taken back then look at me with her round eyes and she said "sorry"
I asked her " why are you apologising?" And Christine said " because I didn't consider that you're a boy, all I ever wanted is to be your playmate." I look at her, there's something inside me that wants to get out, I want to laugh at her for no reason my mouth open and it feels like it has a its own life " I will play with you but not with this stuff, this are all girly stuff"
Christine said " well this are all my toys, did you brought any toy with you"
I said " None, and why would I bring a toy with me"
she rolled her eyes and said in a duh tone " because you're a kid" well she's right, I am still a kid, but I want to grow up faster and be a man.
Present still in the hospital room
Daryl POV
" Of course I remember", I look at her, her expression is still cold and she is avoiding eye contact with me, until she looks at me suddenly, " Daryl please let me be free", my eyes start to wet and my tears fall down. " No Christine, I am not gonna divorce you, after your confinement we will go home"
Christine POV
When I heard he said " No Christine, I am not gonna divorce you, after your confinement we will go home", no I do not want to go home, no please no
" daryl I do not want to go home, you want a divorce I am giving it to you freely why don't you want to sign it, why!"
Daryl said " I used to want a divorce but not anymore Christine, I still love you, you are my wife for crying out loud and I am your husband whether you like it or not"
I am trying to hold my anger but not anymore. The word ``husband coming out from his mouth made me sick. " No daryl you are not my husband but a murderer, you already killed me, what else do you want! You destroyed me daryl you are not my husband you are a devil in a flesh"
He went outside and left me in my room.
After a couple of hours, Daryl came back to my room and said that he had already signed the discharge papers and we will go home. I do not want to go home but I have to face the reality.
