Chapter 1
Flying is so tiring! I signed. I am presently on a plane heading back to my home,my home country which is Athens, Greece. I just came back from sealing a deal for my dad in Venice. Sorry for the rudeness, please pardon my manners.
My name is Mitchell Xenakis, I am the one and only daughter of the famous Talos and Eve Xenakis. You have probably heard of them. My dad's company Xenakis's wine is the best wine making company in Greece. My profession?well,how can I put it? Okay.let me say it like this. I am the type of person that hates depending on people or her parents wealth because to me it's kind of suffocating. I love and adore being Independent since I was a little girl so when I finished highschool,I immediately left or should I say ran away from home to go and experience what life had in store for me. I also made sure I cut off all kinds of contact with my parents and then left for college. Life and being in college without any form of backup wasn't easy at all because of the college I went to. If you aren't a famous person or from a rich home, you would be totally shunned and ignored like a piece of trash but despite all that,I stood firm by not getting discouraged. I took a part-time job to sustain myself all through my years in college and that wasn't easy at all but it sure was fun.
Later on,I made a name for myself by getting into one of the top modelling industry in the country and making to become a model there. In the next two or three years,my career skyrocketed and I became one of the most popular model in the country. After all that,I went back home to my parents and they were so proud of what I have accomplished.
So now, here I am, happy and fulfilled.Dad has been grooming me on how to run his company when he died or retire. I have been trying to tell him to that he is planning way way too soon but he told me not to say that. He also told me that God is the controller and observer of life not him so he could die any moment God could say. Eversince then,I have been working my butts off, travelling from one country to another for both my modelling career and business deals. Could my life get any busier?I never even had time to go out for shopping or to meet with friends. went on a vacation in Switzerland leaving everything behind for their precious daughter to handle. Well I can't say I blame them,dad has been really busy a lot so they never really had a private alone or time to go on vacation so now they could not miss this great opportunity given to them from heaven to finally be together without any disturbance. My dad's words not mine.
Though they do call once in awhile to ask how I am doing,if I need anything, how much they love me and how proud of me they are. Well, finally I am heading back home to have my own vacation after months of working. I signed happily as the plane landed. "Home sweet home"I muttered. I got out of the plane and headed towards where the limo was parked admist my bodyguards. As I was about to get in, reporters,press and journalists came out of nowhere to bombard me with questions.'what the heck'!I cursed inside.
"Miss Xenakis, how does being the heir to Xenakis's vineyard feels"? "How do you plan on coping with your modelling career and running the company"? They kept asking loads of annoying questions and flashing their lights at me. My bodyguards immediately got into action and protected me from those sneakily reporters. They made me enter the limo and also got in then immediately drove out of there.
"We are sorry miss Xenakis". One of the bodyguards apologized."we didn't see or receive any signs of them showing up,we are very sorry,we promise it will never happen again". They apologized.
" No need for the apology,I understand" I said to me and they nodded and bowed in appreciation. After that drama,I brought out my Apple phone from my golden clutch purse,I immediately logged into Instagram and what I saw stunned me.
"The young heiress "Mitchell Xenakis got caught off guard by the press at the airport". Oh fuck! I cursed loudly.
