Waking up this morning, I had a feeling today was going to be good. Mainly because my plane just landed in California. I was going out with my closest online friends, Andrew and Violet who lived in California. We are all billionaires from prominent families.
"Violet, over here." I yelled as I spotted her.
She dragged a good looking guy with her, who I suspected to be Andrew as they both walked up to me.
"Violet!" I squealed and jumped on her since this was the first time I was meeting her in person.
"When did you arrive?" A barritone voice asked as I broke my hug with Violet, it was Andrew.
"Hi Andrew." I said with a smile and shook him as I looked into his light blue eyes, his sharp jawline, his height, he was well built and every girls dream.
"Hey, stop gawking at my bestie." Violet said and they both laughed freely about it while I felt embarrassed.
"Lets get into the car. We have a lot to talk about." Violet said as she collected one of my bags.
On getting out of the airport we were greeted with a large crowd, cameras and different people asking for our signature. Before I could take in the situation, a very well built man in black walked up to us and collected my bags and six other men in black led us to a jeep. I asked Violet what happened and she said they were fans and the men in black were bodyguards.
My parents, being owners of many estates, already paid for my hotel.
"Lets go to the bar that just opened down town." Violet said and we both agreed. On getting there, Andrew went to get us some drinks while Violet and I were catching up.
"So what's going on between you two?" I asked
"Amelia, honestly, I don't know. Sometimes he acts like we're together but when I ask him to put a tag on our relationship he says we should leave it as bestfriends to avoid complications." She said and sighed.
Honestly, that hurt a bit because I think I like Andrew but I managed to give Violet a sympathetic smile and immediately after Andrew came frowning and I felt like doing anything to make him smile again.
"What's wrong Andrew?" I asked frowning.
"Its nothing sweet." He said with a forced smile and leaned into Violet and whispered something into her ear. Immediately, she sprang up from her seat and dragged me along and said,"We're leaving."
I looked at Andrew for help but he looked away so I asked Violet.
"We're going to your hotel." She said sternly.
"So no more fun?" I asked.
"We'll play a game there." She said with a small smile.
As soon as we got to my room, the pair heaved a sigh of relief and then burst into laughter. These kids are officially crazy. Violet is the youngest of us. She is thirteen while Andrew and I are sixteen.
"Truth or dare" He said softly.
"Yeah, that would be cool. At least I'd get to know your secrets" I said and laughed as I walked into the room with three bottles of beer
"I don't drink."
"She doesn't drink!"
Violet and Andrew said together then looked at each other and burst into laughter again.
"Why though?" I asked.
"There was this one time, the whole team was invited to a party. I told coach that Vio was not feeling well and couldn't attend but he said I was lying that Vio should attend." Andrew said laughing as Violet looked around, clearly embarrassed.
"That night was the most-"
"Stop hyping and go straight to the point." Violet said glaring at Andrew while Andrew ignored her.
"She drank to stupor and during the game she puked on the coach. No one had ever seen coach that mad." He said and smiled at the memory.
"Lucky for me, no one had a video." Violet said beaming.
"Except me. Want to see?" Andrew said smirking at Violet as she glared at him before she threw a pillow and said,
"Take that jerk!"
"You're going to regret that." He said and took long strides to Violet and started tickling her and she bobbed her head backwards and laughed heartily while begging Andrew to stop. After a while, Andrew stopped and decided to revenge by starting a pillow fight. Now, we were all laughing as we were exhausted so we decided to play a game.
"Now truth or dare girls. Refusal to answer a dare equals to two shots while refusal to answer truthfully equals one shot. Agreed?" He asked looking at me squarely as I blushed under his gaze.
"Agreed." I said and the game began.
After a few rounds I was drunk already and the bottle landed on me.
"Do you like Andrew?" Violet asked smirking at Andrew.
"Yeah, I love Andrew. He's a hot and nice guy." I slurred.
"That's nice to know. Violet, do you like me?" Andrew asked Violet.
"Yes. I did, but since Amelia likes you, then I'm okay with that." Violet said firmly because she answered all questions refusing to drink.
Andrew smirked and said,"Amelia, kiss me."
In my drunken state, I was shocked yet bold enough to stand up and walk up to Andrew and kiss him. After the kiss I looked at Andrew but his eyes were focused on Violet to see her reaction but she didn't budge.
Was he using me to get back at Violet for not liking him?
"Are you crying?" He asked me and then I noticed I had been crying.
"Let's go to your place." I suggested feeling uncomfortable with Violet around.
"Are you okay?" She asked and walked towards me looking very concerned but I chose to ignore it.
"Sure. You can stay here. So when my parents call you can cover for me." I said and smiled sweetly because I knew my parents will never call.
"That's fine. I'll cover for you." She said with a genuine smile.
"Thank you Vio. We should leave now." Andrew said and it annoyed me the more.
Why was be calling her Vio instead of Violet?
So I stood up and walked to Andrew and kissed him while holding onto his shirt like my life depended on it.
"Are you guys sure you can go?" Violet asked.
"Yeah. Do I look drunk?" Andrew asked Violet and she nodded negatively.
"Be safe. Call me when you get home." She said to Andrew and tapped his arm and we both left the hotel.
I stumbled multiple times while Andrew tried holding me but to me it was totally funny to fall. When we got to the elevator, I looked deep into Andrew's eyes and smiled.
"Anything for me beautiful?" He asked as he stared into my eyes in adoration. If anyone ever told me I'd fall for someone so hard in a couple of hours, I'd never believe them. He looked so flawless. I couldn't help but be drawn to him. He had this aura around him. Not pride or bad vibes. There was just something about him that draws me to him.
He gripped my hand carefully and stared into my eyes while his other hand supported me by holding my back possessively as he drew me closer to himself as we walked out of the elevator and headed to the car park.
Andrew groaned frustratedly as we approached his car and saw his driver.
"Carlos, get out of the car. I'm driving." He said.
The man, probably in his thirties, looked at Andrew confused before he had an agonized frown on his face.
"But, you reek of alcohol and its going to be risky if you drive." He said confidently and maintained his position in the car.
Andrew looked to the sky for a moment before looking at the driver, lips curled upwards and said, "Then you're fired."
The driver looked at him with only two emotions; pain and concern. Carlos opened the door and stepped out of the car while handing the keys to Andrew as the walked slowly to the side walk.
Carlos immediately brought out his phone and started typing furiously and cussing loudly as Andrew and I got into the car. The driver kept on staring at us in awe as Andrew started the car and started driving.
"Babe, I've wanted to meet you for a long time." Andrew said still drunk but not slurring.
"I'm here now. No need to worry." I said confidently and giggled as he mummured some inaudible words.
"What happened at the bar though?" I asked referring to why we left the bar suddenly.
"Stalker." He said simply.
"Stalker? Or past lover. I'm not dumb you know?" I said suddenly becoming angry.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night." He said and chuckled.
"You're jealous hun?" He asked with a smirk. I honestly felt like slapping the smirk off his face.
"Me? Jealous? Puh-lease." I said and scoffed.
"I love your possessiveness. It makes me crazy." He whispered into my ear then looked into my eyes as we both leaned closer slowly but we stopped as the car made a sharp right and here we are. In Andrew's car going on top speed into a bush.
I looked at Andrew in alarm only to find out he was already asleep due to the amount of alcohol he consumed. I shaked him and shoved him. Yet, no response. The last thing I saw was a tree and we crashed into it and went into the bush faster before I blacked out.
