"The throne is mine!" god Lemon yelled angrily as the coronation was about to take place.
Years ago, paradise was created and mysterious gods dominated it. At that time, there were only ten gods namely Baru, the god of blood, Jara, the goddess of air, Jai, the goddess of land, Casu, the goddess of metal, Luna, the goddess of the moon, Aquaria, goddess of water, Solaria, goddess of the sun, Ovularia, the goddess of fertility and Jasmine, the goddess of beauty, Ruka the god of light as well as Gadu, the keeper of the gates of paradise.
The god and goddesses had lived together in harmony but at a time, a big celebration broke out. Jasmine was so drunk as well as the other gods and goddesses. Jasmine began to dance seductively that all the other goddesses were jealous as she was the most beautiful of them all. Her beauty was more than the combination of all the beauties of the other goddesses. The other two male gods were mesmerized at her beauty and they both coveted her. It was an abomination for the gods to covet a woman but they could not resist her. Jasmine was in love with Ruka, the god of light as he was also very handsome. He was impressed as he saw his woman entertain them but a different though dominated Baru's heart.
Baru wanted Jasmine on her bed. He wanted to make love to her but he knew it was against their rules. You cannot take another god's lover. Jasmine and Ruka had agreed to have children when the time was right and the right time was just a few days after the party . After the party was over and every god and goddess had retired to their court, Baru stylishly got into Jasmine room with the aid of Jara and Casu. Ovularia too joined them in the abominable plan they had against Jasmine as Ovularia was in love with Ruka. Ovularia figured if their plan would work, Jasmine and Ruka will never ever end up with each other and that was what she wanted as she was in love with Ruka.
With the help of Ovularia, Jara and Casu, Baru got into Jasmine room. She was sleeping so peacefully in the room as she was exhausted. Baru gently got on her bed, the goddesses held her hands and mouth to prevent her from screaming. Baru had his way with her and Ovularia blessed the union immediately. As soon as they were done, the other goddesses mocked Jasmine before they left. Jasmine cried her eyes out and throughout the day, she locked herself up in her room.
It was very unusual of her as she was the type that liked going out and would often visit her lover. Ruka knew something was wrong so he went to her room to check her. Ruka was shocked at what he saw. He saw his bride, blood stains all over her bed, bruises on her body. He was angered and walked out immediately. There were only two of them who were males so he knew for sure that Baru had done it.
Ruka stormed into Baru's court in anger. He met Baru with some other goddesses. Baru knew Ruka had seen his handiwork.
"It was definitely not my fault. She is the most beautiful and you did not expect nothing to happen when you saw how she danced yesterday. She seduced me with that dance, you know it cause even you were sexually aroused, were you not?" Baru smiled with darkness in his smile. He was in contrast to Ruka. Ruka was disappointed and ashamed as he had asked Jasmine to dance for them. He had pure intentions just to make other goddesses and god see how well his bride could dance. He had no idea, it could lead to something else. Ruka walked away with guilt burning in his heart. He believed he had wronged Jasmine.
Ruka ran back to Jasmine's court and if he was a minute late, he would have lost her forever. She had wanted to destroy herself. If she had succeeded in getting the apple of death and consume it, then she will vanish. She will cease to exist
Jasmine had gotten the fruit and was about to take a bite when Ruka walked in. He was shocked and was quick to destroy the apple of death with her. He still loved her, he could not afford to lose her.
"Ruka, go, live your life. I am no longer fit for you" Jasmine cried
"Forever, you will be for me" Ruka hugged her tight. He was right, he was still ready to take her. Jasmine thread the paradise more carefully as Ruka was always by her side. They could not afford history repeating itself. It was just a day left for them to consummate their relationship, then it happened. Jasmine was pregnant with Baru's child. Joy grew in the heart of the goddesses as well as Baru. They were happy Jasmine could no longer be Ruka's as she was now carrying Baru's child. It was impossible for their union to continue.
Ruka was torn beyond measure, he could not believe Jasmine was no longer going to be his. He could not believe she was going to be Baru's bride. Jasmine went crazy, she wanted to destroy herself but she could not as she was carrying a child. Even the child had a say as you destroying yourself must be your sole decision. She could not make decision for the child. Then the unexpected happened. Ruka ate the apple of death and vanished forever. Jasmine locked herself up in the room, without eating. She slowly began to lose her beauty. She locked herself up in the room till she had the child. She placed a curse on the other goddesses as well as Baru. After birthing the child, she ate the apple of death and vanished too. Ovularia regretted her actions immediately after Ruka's death but the deed was done. She wished she had not blessed the union. The Supreme however got angry with them and destroyed all the goddesses and god. He however, started to create a new generation of gods. He did not kill the innocent child of Jasmine and from there, the new generations of gods began. The Supreme however decided there should be an overall ruler of the gods who would punish any god that would misbehave as he did not want to take matters into his hands anymore. He did not want to destroy his creatures again so every thousand years, a new king of gods was nominated and coronated and onto them, he gave the power to punish all the other gods who erred. However, the king of the gods must not misbehave as no one but him
the Supreme
could punish the king of the gods.
It began to go on for many years and every millennium, a new king of gods was nominated. Peace reigned among the gods and goddesses as the king of gods for each millennium was there to call them to order in case they wanted to err.
The weather was cool and hot at the same time. Celebrations went on in paradise. It was time for a new king of the gods to be coronated. The former king of gods' regime was over. He needed to hand over to the next suitable god. There were only two contestants for the post as only the two gods had what it takes to be the king of the gods; Lemon, god of air and Atticus, god of fire. The competition had taken place two weeks ago in which Atticus had conquered Lemon. In order to prove his competency, Atticus was sent to save the Geb from its tormentor; Mirnez. Geb was where humans lived and dominated.
As expected, Atticus defeated Mirnez and was now qualified to be king of the gods. It was his coronation day.
"Stop! The throne is mine!" Lemon walked in angrily. Lemon was the god of air.
"What do you mean? What is this nonsense? Why are you creating a nuisance?" The kingmakers asked in anger.
"Atticus knows what I am talking about. The throne belongs to me, I am the next king of the gods!"He yelled. All eyes turned to Atticus as they demanded an explanation.
"I have no idea what he is talking about. Lemon, you are my best friend then why are you doing this?" Atticus questioned in shock as he had no idea what his best friend was doing "If this is a joke, I would advise you to stop it, the atmosphere is getting tensed" Atticus added. All eyes turned to Lemon again.
"Do not dare call me your friend. I am not your friend and I am not joking. Do I look like a clown to you?" Lemon laughed as he sat on a chair. "You definitely must know who this is" Lemon smiled as Mineva walked in. Other gods began to murmur, the celebration was turning sour.
"Who doesn"t know Mineva? Of course, she is the goddess of water" Atticus looked around and everyone nodded. Of course, Mineva was one of them. She was the goddess of water so everyone knows her.
"Of course, everyone knows her but you know her differently,don"t you?"Lemon massaged his moustache.
"What do you mean?" Atticus stood up in anger.
"Can you tell us what happened when you had gone to Geb to deliver it from its oppressor" Lemon smirked.
"What!" Atticus raised his brows.
"Tell us Atticus, shed more light. Let us know what is happening" The King makers asked in confusion. Atticus eyes got flooded with an emotion he could not explain.
